Putin's doing the victory dance

He's downing some Vodka and smoking a Cuban cigar as we speak!

Pretty masterful stroke...really stuck it to Obama pretty good, and painted him into a very tight corner.

Of course, Obama's puppet masters will still get their war, you know that right?

A new United Nations report asserts that both sides in the Syrian civil war have committed grave crimes in violation of international law. Government forces continue to attack civilian populations in what amounts to crimes against humanity, says the report, released Wednesday by the U.N. Human Rights Council. But anti-government groups, in their fight against President Bashar al-Assad, have themselves committed war crimes, including murder, torture and hostage-taking, the report states.

IMHO most of the "grave crimes" have been committed by the rebels and I don't say this just because I hate radical islamicists, but because assad always had the upper hand with massive firepower compared to the rag tag rebels. If you have tanks, artillery, airplanes, navy, etc why the hell would you need to use chemical weapons as well knowing you would attract NATO that is hellbent in finding an excuse to attack him?

I dont buy the report at all. Sure some loose cannon general could of used it once or twice on small scale for revenge, but look who gave weapons to these rebels and started the civil war. The same force that brought arab spring throughout the middle east. USA has no right whatsoever to complain about anything.

What strange politics.. The leader of the free world, is willing to bomb a small 3rd world country, in a civil war over mustard gas...

He is willing to rally the troops with a address to the free world, about the atrocities of this use of force in a 3rd world country..

Yet fails to look at something even more catastrophic..

THE REAL THREAT TO MANKIND

What we should be doing, unilaterally is sending everything we have, to this nuclear meltdown asap, and do whatever we can to contain, or stop this.. This can really become a grave problem for all of mankind, hell life itself on Earth.

To hell with Syria, sure its bad news, the president of Syria, is a tyrant, but we should be focused on the real threats, to the free world.. Not Syria...

THE MSM, the powers that be, the powers that control the information being broadcasted to the world, must be scared crapless of Fukishima...

Well, tonight Barack "Skippy" Obama gets to talk to all of us about war. (rolls eyes)

Or not.

We don't know.

Didn't Kerry's gaff yesterday bring about a different aspect to this entire cluster-flock?

If Assad gives up his chemical weapons, will that mean only the rebels will have them?

Too much political bull-stink gives me a nosebleed. (frowny face)

Well ATS?

What do you think Obama is going to say tonight? I think he'll still want war. Too much domestic poo is still waiting and war would alleviate much of it, even temporarily.

All of which was Russia's proposition...not John Kerry's. John Kerry made an underhanded reference to Putin's diplomatic offer, and Syria accepted 100%...WHILE John Kerry was making the underhanded reference. He also added "....which would never happen, ever" referring to Syria handing over their chemical weapons...so it's pie in face and crow's feet for dinner for everyone in the Obama administration. They should all be tried for treason, for the lies and disinformation they spread during this shipstorm.

Certainly agree but people wanting to start ww3 over bs probably dont care that much about fukishima and never did. Japan has been suffering a nuclear meltdown for 3 years and all we hear about is assad gadafhi.

God help us!

Someone should do an X-Files about nato. It would be interesting to see if reptillians are involved.

the truth could be stranger then fiction bro..

I am old now and a bit more down to earth, but who knows, its defiantly a agenda, that I think we can all agree on..

Some great replies and analysis!

(thumbs up)

The trend I'm seeing is a rewrite of recent history where Obama never wanted war and is claiming credit for this wise and peace-worthy step.

But he still wants to keep war on the table. . . ????

Obama looked like a complete madman. That was a deceptive lap dog puppet executing their dirty work like I have never seen before. He looked like afterwards he planned on going out trick or treating.

I am sure prior to spreading his lies on national Television, he was given a shot of the most potent (yet what would dwarf anything Walter White could cook up) ultra pure dose of Government grade A meth.

Then afterwards he would receive his dose of government grade A serum which would allow him to eat, sleep and be up and at em right at the crack of the evil dawn for his morning briefings from his yes men / women robots. Welcome to The $heople Nation.

I still think that if Assad is handing over chemical weapons stockpiles to the West, someone is going to take some off the top at some point along the transaction to make a few extra Benjamins.

Why do they even make these things? That looks entirely too sketchy.

On a side note, the Rebels work with Al Queda and other terrorist groups. Shelling Assad's regime would probably result in them getting their gas canisters. But who knows? Have we allied with Al Queda?

Maybe we have a non-aggression pact with them.

And you will eat your words. Bet on it! The deciders who pull the strings of your puppet herO have already made their minds up my friend. There is no need to hold onto the false hope of a fraud and a liar.

So my advice would be for you to stumble down to the harbor tonight with a six pack of suds in hand and ask your Pappy what he really thinks about it all. Then get back to us tomorrow.

Oh my poor delusional and misled soul, We will not be eating anything for now. However if we put aside our selfish ego minded blindness here on ATS between each other and everyone else, we must recognize that this could end up being a worldwide nightmare that an infant minded Obama puppet ignites.

It could happen, and it almost did. JFK, a good man, however is not sitting inside the Oval office this time around, which is something we all need to consider.

Hey listen though, I don't play much into the left vs. right circus side show, but you have to agree that this is one of the best examples of political hypocrisy? You probably don't though, now do yuh? We need to all set aside the divided tactics of both political parties and unite under the banner of commonsense.

You're simply just another victim of this entire current Syrian war, pre-orchestrated and planned out circus side show that was aimed towards folks like you. The deciders knew that you guys would never question your hERO Obama at the end of the day, or ever for that matter.

Now, That does not make you a bad person either just so you understand how I view these things. It happens on both sides of the left vs. right end game, and I hope that you, just as many of us here, understand that.

Anyway, I doubt there is anything I could possibly say that would even come close to persuading you to recognize all the lies that are being sold and told to you by the fraud puppet madman who is Barak Obama and his group of Windy City gangsters.

So with that being said, Have a nice rest of your evening poet1b. ~$heopleNation

I watched some of it. What I could stomach.

Did it seem to anyone else that the pres was seething under that placid veneer? It's as if he was seeing it for the first time on the prompter. Looked like he was about to jump out of his skin. A far cry from the mic controller that he once was. Dude's crackin' up.

This jumped out at me: "...the Assad regime does not have the ability to seriously threaten our military."

Good. Then it must not be our problem. See. This isn't even our fight. There should be something like a weight class. Only heavyweight vs. heavyweight. Flyweight vs flyweight.

Then he goes on to say: "Any other retaliation they might seek is in line with threats that we face every day."

Translation: People of America, there will be another terror event. (stay tuned)

One more nugget:
The mentioning of a singular or "limited strike". Does anyone actually buy this manure? What does a strike lead to? Escalation. That's what. "Boots on the ground".

"Let me make something clear: The United States military doesn’t do pinpricks."

and

"... limited strike... "

Contradicted himself in one breath.

Great topic and title btw.

Oh, and...

This is a classic thread , a perfect example of what happens when the "conspiracy fails".

Conspiracy : Obama is going to bomb Syria anyway it's part of a TPTB plan.

Reality : Diplomatic solution possible using the "accidental" slip by Kerry (clever rehearsed slip)

Conspiracists Reaction : We are still not wrong see just read this thread..........

The reality which conflicts with the original conspiracy is now woven into the conspiracy as if it was part of the whole conspiracy all along.........O the psychologists will be having a field day with this absolutely classic example. Well done supporters of the conspiracy you have behaved exactly as predicted.

While it is true, I have stated that Obama is going to attack Syria (for domestic reasons, primarily) I have also stated that I hope and pray that I am wrong.

As soon as Obama takes the "attack Syria" option off the table, I will offer a giant sigh of relief and say to everyone, "You were right, I was wrong."

I don't think I'll be getting much of an apology, however, if Obama does issue an order to attack.
