This is first time posting but I just thought I'd chime in.

There are many posts on here that call these foreigners monsters etc., I do wholeheartedly agree. The act of child rape is monstrous. However, sexual abuse of young girls is in no way isolated to these particular areas and is found prevalent throughout most of the world. It is a worldwide problem not just a tribal issue segregated to certain cultures. If you want to bark from a pious pedestal then ,you should first point your energies inward and to your immediate circle. Statistically you or someone you know has molested some child at some time.

You can also speak to many single female welfare recipients, teen mothers, exotic dancers, and street kids to find out the reality of the problem. It's not even segregated to those populations either, really...many women admit sexual abuse when under the influence and a little prodding. Child marriage is a cultural issue, but child rape is a widespread problem.

its things like this that should convince us that no platitude of 'protecting the children' spouted by our dear politicians means a damn thing until they tackle this issue head on. Im willing to bet if hard numbers are to be found, that many more children die in this manner than all those that supposedly died by the gassing of Assad. This part of the world could surely use some Anatomy/Physiology and Child Psychology courses. Education would be very helpful, especially about the human body. But, we know that isn't going to happen. Pedophiles, en masse, well, Mary mother to Jesus, was 15 when the holy spirit came onto her *giggles* so, I guess that means God approves of this.

This part of the world could use a swift kick in the rear of its leadership to put an end to these practices...or face a complete global economic freezeout or military action for non-compliance... This is beyond sick.

Outrage against drone strikes is in lots of other threads. That sort of thing is typical of the depersonalized savagery of the elite military culture of the planet.

Unfortunately all the militarists on the planet are racing to catch up to America with drones and other things.

Chemical weapons are the nuclear equivalents for countries that can't develop nukes or are prevented from doing so.

Marrying off a daughter of 8 years old is abusive. I realize that marriage in the West is not the same institution, exactly, as marriage in the East is, although, even here political and financial alliances between families are sometime cemented by marriage.

The most significant issue is the age of child brides. A host of problems are associated with child marriages. It can put the child bride's health into serious jeopardy and very often it terminates her education, which has numerous spin off consequences.

Well its there culture, and its usually the dad and mom agreeing to go through with such things. Most cultures are stupid, this one is no different then most, and not that different then it was here in the west a few hundred years ago, or in Europe before that. Even now a days it generally is younger females getting married to older men, though not to that extreme but it usually tends to be like that and generally females of any age look for more "mature" men, which in all counts it usually comes down to the same things and reasons why these people married there 8yr old daughter off, the core of such things do not change over the course of time, but there are much better way to go about it, and yes western society is better then theirs in that respect. Though its no were near from perfect, a real look at things will show you that.


These things are generally about conditioned survival and everybody going for the options they have, its pure biology 101 base survival instincts which may or may not be outdated, in our culture this would be frowned upon. Yet its the grown ups both men and women who are pushing there daughters to go through with this, in general if they left them alone and did not adhere to social constructs they would find there own path, and even in that there is much headaches as nothing is 100% better of foolproof. Yet that does not matter as its just pure group knee jerk reactions on mass in any society, when looked through the stained glass.

But hey what do people want to do, invade a country because a girl died. That's like swatting a bug on someones forehead with a baseball bat or a hatchet. Kind of hard to take anybody serious about saving the children, and all that, when there solutions usually would leave thousands or sometimes hundreds of thousands of them in ditches or in a more broken environment and society then the one they have now? Its is not a good idea, there are better ideas no doubt.

Maybe I've lost the ability to read for content. I read the original post as a sensationalist tabloid headline about the sexual murder of a child.

I could be totally wrong, but if we were really interested in stopping the murders of children (and non-combatant men and women), we would have look no farther than the mass murderers at the White House and the Pentagon. AKA: People living in glass houses should not throw stones.

Truly sad story really, but what can we do, here in the US somebody that does this type of despicable act will face justice, in countries like Saudi Arabia a feudal monarchy, they welcome this type of practices, At least The prophet of Islam would take a bath with his six-year old wife, Baby Aisha, while getting gratification, but he waited until she was 9 to consume his marriage, because he was so merciful or that is what the stories tell. We will never know.

Well there you go they seem to go through a lot, and create a lot of deceptions just to receive some financial aid from the big bad west. How about they just get a bit more precise on who and why they give people financial aid and benefits. In such cultures that is pretty much the reasons why they marry there daughters off that young to begin with, ie financial gains or social standing gains ie this whole thing is mostly a monetary or social transactions in said society were kids are litter ally goods and commodities especially it seems young girls are a bartering item.

You cut out that, there financial incentives, direct it toward other means, install some sense, take all that your putting in there societies and build some schools or such, then instead of giving anybody with a good sob story, or these hucksters who are just looking to ride the gravy trains off there daughters and turn them toward other less destructive ends. Basically reconfigure there social mindsets and set it toward other ends.

They seem to go through a lot to get some foreign aid, that right there is a something if done right would be better then wiping them off the map. Though that has been going on in the west for a long time and still its like leading a horse to water, in the end there are not good options. It took people and societies hundreds of years or thousands of years to become what they are, they will not change over night that for sure.

Search youtube for Paul Bonacci for a revealing set of interviews. Bonacci won a million dollar judgment against his child prostitute pimp.

Honestly I think this could be due to the practice of female genital mutilation over there. It's an inhumane, backwards practice that is not medically beneficial in one way. I think it dumbs down the women and or causes insanity.

I read through the thread arguing about Islam, but it's not Islam that's driving this. Child marriage is practiced by Indian and Asian cultures as well.
Very sad and a very clear case for atheism(at least for me). If God is real why does he not stop heinous acts like this? I just don't see a divine force watching through the heavens of space that would allow each and every person on this Earth to do what he or she wants.

It's like every other group or culture has their own set of rules that they live by and everyone else is either wrong or crazy.

Humanity is a depressing, unreal, savage blindly navigating the upper parts of this hollow Earth; the inside of which we will never reach. Sad, but true.

They are still stuck in the very long ago pass and they don;t know how to get out of it. Nothing progressed in that part of the world so the language is the same the music is the same and the life is the same. That is why they are stuck there. Don't they ever get listening to the same music every day. No variations because its again their Allah bidding. I just wanted to add to your post. When we see this kind of thing through western filters, we recoil in disgust, we are shocked and are repulsed.

But it is another culture. Another mindset. Another belief system.

It is a terrible tragedy by our standards.

But only by our standards.

Wow, some people will make excuses for anything, and look at all the stars.
Saying we are a different culture is damn sure making excuses for this sick stuff, no two ways about it.

Do you really think God approves of a man brutalizing a child and killing her? If you really believe that I feel truly sorry for you.

Well , if He is the ultimate power in the universe , and always watching over us, don't you think the Almighty being, could do something about it, Instead of just watching... thousands of children being tortured everyday and He doesn't give a damn.
So either he is a sick evil God, who enjoys wars and suffering (makes sense)
or he just doesn't exist and never did! (makes perfect sense)
So forget God, WE humans must do something about these issues.
