only one tsar bomba was ever built... it was 26 feet long.... it weighed 27tons.... I don't think that bomber could carry one, let alone two of those....

I wouldn't say you are wrong that the US is getting involved with stuff they shouldn't.

However, I would say you aren't looking at the big picture. Russia is guilty of the same type of things the US is, they just aren't as good at it. Russia has their puppets (although the US good at stealing them)

America IS the bad guy, but so is Russia. Honestly I have more respect for the Russian leadership than that of my own country, but Russia is a player in these games just like the US, and should never be excused as the victim or anything close to it. If the cold war went the other way, Russia would be wandering around the world knocking over governments and doing other things on the scale of the US.

I find this whole conflict amusing, as far as the US and Russian involvement. I do not find the suffering of syrians amusing in the least, but I feel no pitty for any American or Russian military people that loose their lives in this conflict. All people in the US military are there by THEIR choice. This country has been abusing its military long enough that nobody in the military gets to claim ignorance about how they are being used by evil men. If you allow evil men to use you, you deserve no pitty or glory. Go die in syria if you want, you made that choice, you supported these people. Don't cry when your son dies, it's his fault he was there in the first place. Stop enlisting in the military, now THAT's a strong message that the people don't support the government. You can bet they would change real quick when they can't even scrape together a few hundred thousand troops total. Joining the US military at this point is joining up with evil. You will be used, abused, and you deserve everything negative you get. STOP playing into their games, STOP being used, when will people understand this?

Sorry if it sounds harsh to people in the military or those with family in the military. But tough. You think it's OK to go kill other people in THEIR countries who are no threat to you? You are not honorable nor deserving of praise.

The only reason Putin is doing this is that he senses weakness in the West's determination in this. Once President Obama started to back pedal and the UK bailed, he sensed the blood in the water. The US now has to counter with probably 2 or More Carrier Strike Groups. Putin has nothing to lose by raising the stakes at this moment. Neither side will let it escalate into open conflict between Russia and the U.S. Putin is counting on Obama backing down, and to be honest, it sure looks like President Obama is looking for a way out of this without punishing Syria. While we wring our hands over what to do, Russia looks strong, albeit they are backing a Person who murders his own civilians with Sarin Gas. Why the World community isn't putting more pressure on Russia and China for supporting the use of Chemical Weapons on Civilians is beyond me. They are getting a free pass while the U.S. looks like the big bad guy for wanting to punish those responsible.

Based on President Obama's previous and current actions, he senses the U.S. is looking for an out in this operation. When the President say's "I didn't draw a red line" when he most certainly did, makes him look weak and foolish. When you are President, you don't get the luxury of getting to vote "Present", you have to actually back up your words with actions.

Don't get me wrong, I think both sides are full of homicidal maniacs in the Syrian Civil War. I say weaken Assad enough so both sides bleed each other to death more, while we slowly build up a pro Western Syrian Force in Jordan or Turkey. To me, that is the best course of action, even though it means much more deaths over there in Syria. I won't feel bad when AQ and Assad's forces cut each other's heads off. We can provide Humanitarian assistance to the Syrian people, who get royally screwed in this venture.

Putin is the best chess player around, and US counter part is just hoping for the best, but may end up being wounded more in the long run.

I keep hearing about better Tech, still not a single F16 to protect Pentagon, the only plane left in the air was a plane bound for Saudi ? I guess if it were to happen for Moscow, entire air will be filled with MIGs. Isn't it s a huge morale booster for any country to know that info?

How will we counter sleeper cells if war expands and Iran etc joins in?

Correction: They Can ansd this is how.

I read somewhere once that the Russians still used those glow tubes in their circuitry rather than chips.....hopefuly someone can assist here.

Basically, from memory it was because modern day circuitry gets fried and inoppperable in a situation where a Nuetron Bomb or similar takes out the enemies electrical grid and fries all circuits.

In this scenario those that run primitive designed circuits will be able to maintain air superiority.

Picture this: (if it were not that serious it would be funny).

Russia drops a couple nuetron bombs either over the US or mideast frying all electronics everywhere.

They then maintain air superiority with old Migs from the 50's and 60's....LOL

Regardless of what, its still air superiorty.....
