Pretty hypocritical coming from a man who's country has killed civilians using Nukes, Agent Orange, Depleted Uranium munitions and drone strikes.

Just hope congress vote the same as us in the UK.

Øbama knows full well that his original 'red line' was not crossed some 3 weeks ago ---- and he backed off

he knew again 2 weeks ago in another chemical weapons incident that Assad's Syrian forces were not the culprits and once-again ---the 'red line' was not legitimately crossed

but in this Aug 21st chemical weapons incident, where some hundreds of school kids were (unfortunate) 'targets'...on that flimsy report 0bama is hanging his 'red line has been crossed' rhetoric...(but by whom is the question) = www.youtube.com...=539

some allies from NATO are opposing 0bama's stance, the Arab League opposes the 0bama mandate to bomb Syria...everyone but the french (for their own reasons of retailation) are abandoning the Øbama hard line of attack....

so Øbama is relying on Congress for him to save face and order the Executive to stand-down...

or in Øbama's wet dream reality the Congress will tell Øbama to launch a regime-changing bomber & cruise missle attack on Assad's Syria...

The sly and wiley Øbama, who was barred from a law practice...and had painted himself in a corner/... has chosen a group of peers to save his butt...alas-- don;t the chief executive understand that the Congress itself sold Its' soul to the elites long ago...~what ever the Congress decision---it will probably not bode well for the front man in the Oval Office in the long run ~
edit on 31-8-2013 by St Udio because: sp errers

ADD; Øbama gets a week or so delay on Syria so he can attend the G20 conference over there in St Petersburf Russia and ramp up the barbarian rebels fighting Assad's forces in Syria...
watch the rebels escalate the combat sphere- terror sphere- all the way up to the USA Congressional debate on force...
i still see the USA taking over the Egyptian Sinai & Suez in the interim --- to 'stabilize' the energy flow to the EU via shipping thru the Suez canal

Can he? If congress (unlikely i admit) says 'nah' due to the public busting their chops can he just blow them a raspberry? Does he have the look of a man that would?

Without having to go through and read all 9 pages of the thread, can anybody summarize what our fearless leader had to say?

Is he putting the ball in Congress' court?

Seems to me that he's been looking for a way out of this mess the last couple of days.
I dont think he considered the shape of our military when he drew his 'red line'.

I think he needed to buy a few days to convince some allies to supply us with boots, considering that our boys aren't trained for such conventional warfare.

And lets face it, this isn't a situation that can be left to artillery and missiles. We will eventually need some boots on the ground for post-recon, and to ensure we 'smoked em out'.

Anyway, Im just look for a summary of what he had to say.

ETA: I had noticed in his last address, that he expressed concern of these chemical weapons getting in the hands our enemies and that was cause for intervention, something about national security and all.

My question is, HOW THE HELL IS SUPPLYING AL-QUAEDA WITH WEAPONS AND MUNNITONS IN THE INTEREST OF NATIONAL SECURITY???

My opinion….I don’t want war and cried when I heard OB – I’m feeling WW3

OB clearly stated he will not tolerate this action (chemical weapons) he will strike when he wants he will not wait for congress (he never has before) what makes this any different!

I heard he will do (WAR) -tonight-tomorrow-next week next month!

He also stated he had the heads of congress approval -not mass approval.

If Damascus gets destroyed than you will know –We will be in the 7 year tribulation period-for all of those who believe in scripture! Isaiah 17:1

Iran already said if we intervene they will send many missiles to Israel (quote)

Meanwhile over in Syria innocent civilians are still being killed.
In fact any delay while they have a "discussion" will only encourage Assad to kill more people while he has the chance.
Sounds like Rwanda all over again.

Britain and France caused all this during the dying days of Empire, what a gutless bunch of wimps these countries have become.

My congressman said no force but is waiting on more voices from the public. He also told Obama he did not need support from congress. Maybe I'm mistaken but I was under the belief he could not just go bombing other countries without congressional support; that if it is not a direct threat to the United States they must have congressional support. Why would 100 congressmen say "you don't need us, do what you want?"

I'm certainly not proposing this, but I remember something in recent history that may repeat itself in one form or another.

Five word warning to any swing-vote, on the fence "Congressional representatives" (if any would exist) that are leaning towards denying The Executive war plans:

Nerve Agent Laced Mail Incoming.

I'm trying to get a summary as well. If no one replies I'm keeping an eye out for a press release at whitehouse.com. I promise to post if we don't hear back from anyone else.

Well this definitely puts Republicans in a tough spot. Will they vote against their best interests or will they vote according to what their handlers from the Military Industrial complex tell them?

President Obama just threw Syria under the bus.
Our House and Senate will say no.
Then they will try to get rid of the ACA again and fail that.
Then they will try to shut down the Nation over the budget yet again.

Get ready for more atrocities.

Obama sealed his fate when setting the red line ..No use of chemical weapons in over 1 hundred years and as soon as Obama mentions them they are used with in months!

False flag conspiracists must be having a field day!

I can see Obama's dilemma. turning to congress for approval was a clever move ,what is concerning is publically stating he will not need UN approval which in a lot of peoples eyes is a breach of international law ...

talk about poking a hornets nest with a stick ...so many ways this could go down ... I fear egos will come into play and as a result yet many more innocent people will die ..

talk about dammed if you do! n dammed if ya don't !
