I see it as them not liking that muslims have chosen this day to protest as it takes the focus away from what the day represents - the victims. I am happy someones doing it. Lots of people like to talk but few act.

Every biker friend I ever knew had a 'Live and Let Live' mindset. Maybe ex military (said to be many of the bikers to attend) in today's world do not see it that way.

There are bigger problems than this in the country. I don't care what either side does. Maybe they can reenact the Gulf War.

It seems the average American is always right and everyone else is wrong.

And you see a problem with people having strong beliefs? Don't you also think your right and others are wrong? Maybe I am misinterpreting what you were trying to get across with the last sentence.

The Muslims have the same right to march as the bikers/military/patriots/whatever-they-are have.

By making a big deal of it, the protest is feeding the march. Just ignore them.

Poor people in DC they are going to have a bunch bikers snariling up traffic look for Muslim march that nobody is going to. This is America at its most stupid. All action no thinking.

Many in the US are upset about how "they" were treated by Middle Easterners on 9-11-01.

Many in the Middle East are upset about how they have been treated by the US for the 20th century.

Irrelevant.

These 'million muslim marchers' (which at this point looks to be only about 20,000 signed up), are marching for 'equal rights for Muslims in America'. Which is absurd. Muslims already have the same equal rights as any other religious people in this country. It is senseless. And it was tacky and selfish for them to pick 9/11.

Why is that tacky?

Islam took the rap, when it actually should have been Zionism.

Because of 9/11, who have lost more lives? Muslims or Non Muslims?

I think the answer is pretty clear.

Tacky? Maybe you just don't know how to be objective and understand that they too have a right to feel that loss and feel demonized for 9/11.

To territorialize on the date and condemn them for an idea is absolutely intolerance to Islam.

Now we have ourselves a pissing contest. What else is new in America?

They should be inviting them to ride and rally with them for peace.

there were victims from many races and religions on 9/11, but no one can deny that the event lead to death of many Muslims... and that they pretty much took all the heat.

Why do things always have to get turned into a competition... a war.

It's either a rally for peace and freedom... or it's not.

I hope I am wrong about this, but if the media can ignore 650,000 in DC for the annual March for Life 2013, I kind of doubt it will get any government controlled press coverage.

Wow. I am almost speechless. Not about the bikers going to DC, that makes sense and they are notorious for this kind of cause, but that the million Muslim march was scheduled for 911. Why do they think that they are being treated any differently? I mean since 911, everything I have ever known has changed to support and benefit them. It is almost illegal to say Christmas in schools, or to do a Christian prayer before a game. They have been afforded many allowances for their religious culture, cannot say that for Christianity.

I hope that everyone stays cool headed and that nothing negative comes out of this.

It is very interesting. Keep this thread updated please.

Oh stop it.

The date is set aside to remember the victims and honor the first responders.
For a bunch of Muslims to march on DC on that day to demand 'equal rights'
(WHICH THEY ALREADY HAVE) is tacky. And you trying to drag Jewish/Zion
crap in is also tacky.

It looks like this event may not happen...they were denied a permit.

I think though this event may still happen anyway; they seem very determined.

I think it was a permit for a no stop ride, so now they say they will still ride and obey all traffic laws. That's a lot of loud bikes sitting at red lights.
