Maybe we actually have weather making/altering machines. Somebody found out, hacked them and are about to make it rain!

My problem with this is how can a person know of a "natural disaster" and be that certain, enough to say "a natural disaster — the likes of which the nation has never seen — is also likely on its way."
This is a little scary whether she is fear mongering or not, it's not something you ever want to hear someone in her position say!

That is what I thought as well. I mean, sure we have disasters, but she amped it up and I am pretty convinced politicians say exactly what them mean, well except for Biden who just seems to have no filter or brain.

Well, after Aunt Janet's farewell speech I must say this.....

It's not often that, in a farewell, we're reminded of why we should be overjoyed that someone is LEAVING. Usually, these moments are time for reflection and how much we may miss someone. In this case? Oh...I'd throw a party but for two things.

Her placement will likely be even sicker and with more profound mental illness than she suffers relating to feelings of persecution and paranoia.

Also...

She isn't retiring. The poor students of the California University System will have to endure being terrorized by this sick woman as she takes her flights of paranoid fancy to a place of Higher Education. I half expect to see the U.C. system resemble prisons within a couple years. After all, there might be ONE nutjob, one time, go shoot someone in a University she has authority over. For that, I'm sure they'll ALL need machine guns. dogs, cameras, sensors and an organic intelligence department just for their schools.

Upon leaving office janet said: "the nation is in a very good place, we are safe, doing well, and we hope it will stay this way for years to come. I see no issue ahead at all, in fact, it looks like the coming decade will be the smoothest ever."

Upon leaving office, all officials are required to say: "the world is hell, next week, next month or next year you are all going to die from an unknown event. I know this is going to happen, I just don't know when or how, or why, or who, or what even, but i know it is going to happen."

Cyber attack + a natural disaster oh my looks like she just took a class on disaster recovery which most college grads already know about. You need to read between the lines it's for more funding here is what i see, A: a detailed list of security flaws within our ageing telecommunication infrastructure will be outlined B: a detailed outline of hardware and software that has security flaws being used with our infrastructure. Then a request for a budget to update and secure the funding for repairing security flaws. B: now do the same thing with natural disasters which you cant prevent a natural disaster so the funding goes to preparations food, water, housing in different areas, all terrain vehicles ect, here is the really freaken scary part a man made disaster like political upheaval, war ect is considered a natural disaster which can be predicted.

I suggest if you find this interesting you should read up on disaster recovery methods then watch the DHS to see if they get a new budget and here's how you will know if its for political upheaval aka revolution watch what they buy with the money! Tanks bullets and guns are not used in preparation of a flood, storm, hurricane, tornado, earthquake, fire or anything of that nature unless is a man made natural disaster like war or revolution

Some well known remote viewers like Ed Dames are saying a solar 'Kill Shot' could be in the works soon (this fall or early next year). That said, I'm not convinced, although there is always a very slim possibility.

www.youtube.com...
thekillshot.com...

Something to think about.
The govt had remote viewers working for them. We have heard about it since the project was disbanded.

What if Ed Dames and the likes of him are simply the chuckleheads that didn't get good hits when remote viewing and the good ones never left the government?
Maybe the govt does still have an active program using talented individuals that we have never heard of before.
They may know a bit about what may lie in our future. I'm not saying that they do, just throwing another whacky conspiracy theory out there to ponder.

While this does raise my eyebrows a bit, let's take a step back for a second and look at it rationally:

DHS head steps down, warns that a massive cyber attack will occur. - Combination fear mongering and a, 'well duh' statement. Why would you openly state that if not to just incite attention and reinforce that the government is here to save you, plus do some last minute fund raising. This is almost proved by how she stresses it's important that their "historic levels" of resources remain "well funded."

A natural disaster...is likely on the way. - LIKELY. That's similar to all these other "prophets" saying that something is likely to happen. Yeah, sure. We know natural disasters are coming, they always come. Of unprecedented scale is worrisome, but...again, "likely" is not the same as "definitely."

Now where I turn my attention to is WHY she is stepping down. Universities pay that position -very- well, so it could just be purely money. Or...?

one thing i can tell you for sure is coming is something with the sun.

And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
Revelation 16:8

i dont care if you dont believe me or the bible right now....but guaranteed this will happen....and when it does i hope you will remember the bible is Gods word.

it doesnt have to mean that people are literally going to burn up....i reckon it actually will be a bit more mundane than that...probly having to do with intense heat that the atmosphere will not be able to protect against. I reckon as well that this condition will arise as a consquence of something completely explainable by science.....but that doesnt mean it wont be a fulfillment of bible prophecy.

Did you eat a bad carrot today? Wake up on the wrong side of the hay? You don't like her very much, I don't like her very much, that is certainly apparent.

More fear...

“Our country will, at some point, face a major cyber-security event that will have a serious effect on our lives, our economy and the everyday functioning of our society,” Napolitano said. “More must be done, and quickly.”

She says foreign hackers breached US government systems multiple times during her tenure.

umm, maybe you just suck at your job.

I think people in general are too preoccupied with all of this disaster stuff, is it going to be the ice melting, is it going to be a meteor, is it going to be middle east b/s

WHAT does it matter to anyone????
Are we forgetting we are going to die from one thing or another.
Are we forgetting we have short life spans in relation to time universe wise that is.
What is the problem??? go and try and find some happiness while you can, worrying about disasters wont prevent them, if they come they come. until they do, if you live long enough to see them, try and enjoy LIFE..

It's hard to enjoy life when all they see are current or predicted disasters. That's their job.

Look at firemen, for example. They deal with fires every day. They see disasters EVERY DAY. And yet you expect them to go on as though there're no disasters?

I think the issue is people who deal with disasters - as a job - aren't superhuman. They can be stressed and overwhelmed by it all. If you overwork them, especially.

The important thing to remember is their job is to deal with disasters. So if you watch a video where they're talking about disasters then you should not be surprised by it.

These people can lose their job if they don't adequately prepare and respond to a disaster. It's their career. So they will be concerned about predicted disasters more than normal people.

A "disaster" can happen at any time, but not necessarily city or even street sized. If you live in an apartment you can have your upstairs neighbor fall asleep and leave the bath taps running, or his water-bed can burst, or the water mains pipe can disconnect in Winter. Happened to the previous tenants of my last apartment and my Dad's flat.

Then you can have lightning take out the local transformer and place your street into a power cut. Without electricity, you can't cook, the gas central heating won't fire up, the contents of the fridge/freezer go off, you can use your computer, charge up your smartphone. If some digger dude with furry dice in the cab cuts through the cable TV network, there goes your Internet, TV and telephone service.

A sudden snow blizzard can cut off electricity and street lighting, forcing the local shops to stay closed. If you can't get out, will you have enough to eat?

A burst water mains that flooded a village high street and petrol station was enough to spark panic buying at the local supermarkets, causing a food and petrol shortage. That's how quickly things can go downhill.

Actually, the story does not really support the lead.

If you read it carefully, she never really says a natural disaster is coming. She says a natural disaster is more likely.

This is just sensational writing ... what do you expect from broadcast. It sucks.

Did I have a bad carrot today? I'm not sure what you mean? I wish I had some 90 proof carrot juice after listening and/or reading her paranoia.

She was appointed to deal with these problems and make them HER problem. She wasn't appointed, in my opinion, to make every nation security problem the personal fear and concern of every American in the nation.

That's been my very serious and very strong sense of TRUE clinical level mental illness. That isn't figurative or being sarcastic. I honestly believe she'd diagnose under clinical conditions.

She has almost thrived on the fear she generates in the public ...and even if the above weren't true? I'd call her sick as an individual on that basis alone. She just wouldn't qualify as clinically ill by that alone.

It takes her chasing shadows...issuing alerts over bogeymen and generally being like a scared little school girl in the position where she was supposed to be the strong rock that kept those fears from being a part of daily life which rises to the level of what I think a practicing psychiatrist would find much work from.

I guess it just needed to be in the right forum. With her and the FBI director, rumblings of Syria attacking our infrastructure and now going to war with them, it seems all of the chips are in place.

Got two FEMA preparedness letters last week, they want me to join the readiness campaign.

Last year, over 21,000 members of our National Preparedness Community coordinated 1,573 preparedness events engaging 1.5 million Americans in preparedness activities during National Preparedness Month.
