According to RT reports by “biased regional media” about alleged chemical weapons use near Damascus might be “a provocation planned in advance,” says Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Aleksandr Lukashevich.

rt.com...

If the west is funding the rebels, the western media won't issue a news post where it condemns western actions. And also to remember; the UN is a western coalition, run by Americans and the headquarters is in USA.

Already, this report is on Reuters, Yahoo and the BBC twitter feed has just commented on the Syrian State TV's claims. So it has made it to western media.

And no, the UN is not run as a Western coalition or run by Americans. If that was the case, it would actually be more effective, but as it stands the UNSC is what runs the UN - it has Russia and China with veto power sat there, so nothing can happen without their approval.

They'd better document the living crap out of their discovery if they want it believed.... The stakes here are as high as they ever can get in modern war and consequence. Nothing but Nuclear tops the use of Chemical and right now,n the wrong people are quite happy to assume Assad did it. Proof or not. So... I sure hope they treat it like a crime scene in terms of getting it right.

Well I guess they are succeeding in bringing Iran to the conflict, because well... that's what it's all about.

In response, Iran has warned the US against possible military intervention in Syria, saying it will fuel tension across the region.

"Iran has announced several times that there is no military solution to the Syrian crisis, these provocative measures and moves make regional issues more complicated and fuel tensions," Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Araqchi said. "The Syrian problem could be resolved only through a peaceful solution and there is no international permit for military meddling in Syria," he added.

I am telling you that ASSAD did not gas his own people. He is being set up, just like Mubarak and Quadafi before him...and even going back to Sadam Hussein.

I smell dead fish all over this folks. I am trying to scream at the top of my lungs that the Assad regime is innocent, the rebels are being backed by the CIA, Bengazi had SOMETHING to do with running guns into Syria for the rebels.

This stinks to high heaven.

Isn't it ironic that Obama is given the Nobel Peace Prize for Peace 2 months into his presidency for doing absolutely NOTHING yet, here he is sending forces AGAIN into Syria. First Egypt, then Lybia, now Syria. What? What happened to his commitment to peace? I think the Peace Prize award was nothing more then a psychological token to give the public the impression that Obama was peaceful, to cover for the aggressions that were to come.

Obama is about as peaceful as Attila the Hun.

That's not true, even Attila had respect for his enemy's and would never kill his enemy's by proxy. Meaning Using drones to fight out your battles is just disrespectful.

Iran has open, formal and full military alliance with Syria as well as treaty agreement for mutual support in warfare. The same treaty type we have with South Korea and others. So if Iran isn't getting into it, I'd ask why they turned coward on their own ally. ....The fact the West ignores that mutual aid agreement like it's just a joke without a punch line is VERY disturbing. Do they think every OTHER nation in the world is just simple minded and full of fools that shouldn't be taken at their word? It seems so at times....and a near suicidal way of conducting world affairs.

Really? Really?!?!

Here is a list of UN vetos or negative votes on behalf of Israel from 1972 - 2011.

www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org...

It wouldn't be more effective, in fact that is just silly. The US has absolutely no qualms using veto power 10x more than china or Russia put together. So it wouldn't be more effective, it would simply be a blanket approval to do what the west wants when they want.

As it stands now, there isn't much that stands in their way anyhow as prefaced by the Iraq war based on lies, the Afghanstan war based on lies, Lybian war based on lies.

See the US loves to get the UN on board but if they don't then we simply claim the UN is irrelevant. Happens all the time like clockwork.

True, Obama is playing a very dangerous game, If this would have happened oh say 10 years ago it would get the support of the world the people and his own congress.

At this point America is losing allies financial aid and the support of the people.

Indeed... We're just all so damn tired of war and all that is going with it. I know how contrite that must sound, sitting in a nation where we don't hear the shots and explosions of what we're causing around the world ...but it doesn't change the bone weary...enough is enough so knock it off.. feeling toward those in power who want even MORE war.

I know Obama must think he hasn't had his OWN war to prosecute yet and show HE can be better and do it all differently. The ultimate finger to GWB on how Obama knows better. Damn though.... No more.... We'll concede the point to his ego and say he COULD have done better if it'll stop him from trying to prove it in blood and casualties.

So much loss.. and they want even more of it. I could be sick some days...

Really makes one wonder...lots of finger pointing however the stage
was set months ago for this event, the writing was on the wall.

Back in May, the Turkish media reported that Sarin gas was in the
hands of "Al Qaeda" ....and was headed for Syria.

Turkish news outlet Radikal

Sarin gas after three suspected car alarm

Police arrest two kilograms of sarin gas operations in Adana El Nusra alarmed. Police, launched a large-scale search for the third suspect vehicle.
Adana in El Nusra held the day before the operation seized two kilograms sarin gas' was removed after the alarm level to the next level. Police, Syria, the city of Raqqa three car bombs loaded Turkey Introduction to notice that he is investigating.
According to information from security sources, both of these tools with Turkish license plates, the other plate was determined that the Syrian. Guard units investigated whether the plates are fake, but so far learned not reach a clear conclusion.

Google Translate Turkish to English

Also, coinciding it was reported that Al Qaeda had been found to be plotting to use nerve gas.

Authorities in Iraq say they have uncovered an al-Qaeda plot to use chemical weapons, as well as to smuggle them to Europe and North America.

Defence ministry spokesman Mohammed al-Askari said five men had been arrested after military intelligence monitored their activities for three months.

Three workshops for manufacturing the chemical agents, including sarin and mustard gas, were uncovered, he added.

Remote-controlled toy planes were also seized at the workshops. Mr Askari said they were to have been used to release the chemical agents over the target from a “safe” distance of 1.5km (1 mile)

Troublingly, Turkey busted an Al-Nusra Front cell (Al Qaeda in Syria) that also had stockpiles of chemical weapons.

So from this we know that Al Qaeda (whomever they really are) was in on the deeds.

How about another source? www.theguardian.com...

And the game of he-said, she-said continues but let's look at it from this perspective.

Who has everything to lose by using chemical weapons?

Who has everything to gain by using chemical weapons?

Two easy questions.

Al Nursa, the most hard hitting destructive force formerly of the FSA, has been found with sarin gas in Turkey and their fellow Al Qaeda brothers have been busted in Iraq actually making the gas, so it's definitely not beyond imagination that the "rebels" have their own chemical weapons.

Assad's forces have had the upper hand in this war but many also say it's been a stalemate between the two but regardless the opposition has been acquiring weapons from overran Assad military bases getting their hands on everything from tanks to anti tank rockets and more.

The latest chemical attack, did it kill soldiers or rebels? So far I just read about the poor civilians that were targeted, RIP children, what a terrible way to die.

The true victims of this mess are the civilians, and if the west intervenes it won't be on their behalf, just ask Libya, Afghanistan, and Iraq.

But known terrorists have respect for who exactly? Not civilians, not Hezbollah, not Assad's forces, not even the FSA.

Terrorists, you know Al Qaeda, kill anyone and everyone.

Who cares, if war starts there is absolutely zero paths for Iran to get soldiers or supplies to Syria. No land, no Sea no air, so whatever pitiful forces they have there will be cut off from day one and doomed.
