Jimmy... Past Presidents were often seen but not often heard. Certainly not personally and not several times a day some days while normally AT LEAST once a day, every day he isn't on a vacation or golf trip. Delegating IS part of a President's job and a very important part. After all, they do head the Executive Branch which has several hundred thousand people working in it.

The thing is....Leadership doesn't come from a speaker's podium and his other major duty in the Presidency is to lead an often divided nation. Past Presidents have had varying levels of success. This one has never really even tried. Right from 2009 and watching Pelosi lock Republicans out of conference rooms with amusement for the Obamacare drafting to the present day, into his 5th year, of SELLING things like a cheap door to door salesman, rather than leading change by bringing or forcing the sides to find agreement, whichever the situation calls for.

That is best done OUTSIDE the range of live rolling coverage he seems to require. HAS there been a meeting with anyone but his own close allies in Congress where at least a couple photos weren't snapped to make it a Photo OP too??

Delegation is fine..but not when it's ALL he does. Hell, even his UN Ambassador, he assured everyone was up to the job, couldn't break from a personal trip to even attend the Security Council meeting on Syria. This isn't just him, he's carrying the attitude across to those he DOES delegate things to as well.

I am prescribed MANY drugs for my injuries. I could pop OXY's like candy if I so choose. After a couple weeks on them, in the beginning I was NAIVE, and took them. then I went away for the weekend. Forgot my meds, and stomach started to feel like crap. Those things were already hitting my body!

I quit! pain is better than addict ---> even of it causes heart trouble. I wouldn't allow my kids to see a WEAK example. They would then accept weakness. Nope, I manage with ruptured discs in back and neck, ruined knee (walk with a limp), pinched nerves in neck and back, metal in my skull, T.B.I., hairline cracks in neck c3-c4.. I wake up some days unable to move my neck.

maybe of everyone was a made to be a Soldier or Marine, like Israeli youngsters, WE wouldn't have so MANY WEAKLINGS ---->raising MORE WEAKLINGS.. mental and physical toughness matter.

There are a lot of things I could say to that.....mindset, toward other human beings in trouble or need.

However, I'll take discretion as the better part of valor here except to say that words do have an impact. They do mean something and one can't just say whatever one wants with no concern whatsoever for the impact it has on others ...and not at least hear someone say something about it. So, I've had my say and gotten the measure of your ...general outlook on life. It was worthwhile for that, anyway.

As others have noted, this is all a distraction and Rush even coming into the national level of political discourse is a distraction in itself. I can't personally recall Bush OR Clinton lowering themselves to the level of virtually 'calling out' radio and television commentators. Let alone someone as extreme to one side or the other as Rush. It's unbecoming to the Office, is what it is.

Now specific to how Rush was attacked and maligned on the criminal issues? As I understood it, his started like literally millions of others from legitimate and serious pain issues, which went from there. That problem is epidemic and nation wide with actual Public Service Announcement commercials running daily on television here. They've been running for a couple months now, at least.

He was a high profile target in a national example of a tragic situation...and like or hate the man or his politics, that was an exceptionally cheap shot for his opposition to have used. I'll never have any respect for it.
