Ummm I don't think that'ssound logic. He was raised by his white family. His anger would be towards his black side that abandoned him.

His white mother divorced the father he adored so much he wrote a book about it.

His white mother divorced the only real father he knew, another man of color, leaving him fatherless and feeling abandoned. Quite possibly blaming his mother for taking him away from his bio father and the only "real" father he ever experienced.

He was dumped by his mother onto his grandparents to raise, causing further abandonment issues and then died, which children frequently internalize as abandonment.

He was raised mostly in Hawaii, a place where (I lived for 4 years) white people are very very much disliked and disparaged. They even have a racist term for whites and even in stores the clerks refused to help white people when I lived there - during the exact time he grew up there. My children were called names and threatened frequently at school for being white. If it weren't for their Hawaiian friends who stuck up for them life would have been awful for them because they were white.

Also, his grandparents were well known as deeply socialist/communist whose philosophy includes a self-loathing of ones "white privilege".

So yes he could very well "hate" his white side on a deeply unconscious level.

A case can be made for the opposite for all the reasons you pointed out. I just dontvsee howvanyone can say hates whites.

Do you think the actions, policies and statements are his own? Do you really think the president can say or do anything on his own behalf? Or do you think that tptb/handlers has a agenda in place and obama is just the figure head to keep us pointing fingers at him and not at the true power holders in this world. Wake up. You are sheep just like evetyone else if you believe a racist black man will ever be in the white house. Or any position of power corporate or political.

And don't say they didn't know before was in office. If that was the case upon finding out ge would have been impeached or worst. Dont say they don't yet and you do.

How about Farrakhan? He is in a political position of power and he openly speaks of hating white people.

Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton by their actions demonstrate a hatred of white people and they have a lot of political power.

How about the leaders of the Black Panthers who openly call for the killing of all white people, they hold political power so strong they can openly intimidate white voters at the polls.

So your reasoning that a racist black man can not hold any position of power is patently false.

I completely disagree, all of these people have forced change (sometimes good, sometimes questionable, sometimes not for the good) to take place. When one can force change on a national level , one has power. And these men and this organization has power rather you think they do or not.

Politics is a game to keep your attention and give americans the illusion of choice. The "real" decisions are man behind closed doors.

In the end we both are putting forth our opinions. I don't see where they can makeva difference where it really matter. This is a global world now. Country lines are being erased. They are just the bully in one small playground so to speak.

Actually, putting ones opinions out there can be quite powerful. One person can affect change, one person speaking up can change things. One person speaking out can change minds.
Don't ever think your words do not have power, especially in a global forum like ATS.

One persons words can easily become a global meme.

Just look at the Governors words that were not supposed to be reported. They started a national conversation, dare I say international conversation, and may spark a new meme. That looks like it may be happening in this case, because Obama's actions have not demonstrated that the meme is not true, he can speak to it and others can speak to it, but until his actions say otherwise the meme may become "common and global thought."

Our President is 50% Black. He's 50% white. His Momma was as white as the driven snow of the Kansas Prairie she was raised on. Obama doesn't hate white people unless he's full of such SELF loathing, he can't stand to be in his own skin. He's NOT Black. He's Mulatto...if that word isn't too complex for the politicians to grasp and understand.

That being said, it does not immediately exclude him from being a racist, just because his mother was white...

But you presented it as a undeniable proof that he is not a racist...really ?? That is your reasoning?
