Spectacular Night Time UFO Over Oregon..

I came across this footage today and thought it worthy of discussion. It's really good night time footage and it looks real to me. I think one of the objects is a plane but the other has no strobe and is travelling in front of the plane going at exactly the same speed. It's got me stumped so maybe someone here can explain it, here is the video.


I was thinking maybe a satellite but how can it be going at exactly the same speed as the plane?

I hope the members here actually watch this more than a couple minutes before they make their judgments. I mean the guy does use two different lenses to show it, and yes at first I would guess the one is a plane, but the way they slow down later is interesting and the second lens he uses sure makes the lead light look... well I dont know what to call that!

Will watch to see what develops here with members opinions.

Could be a fighter jet refuelling in flight as it does look like a plane's lights flashing.

The one at the back looks like a plane but when the guy zoom's in you can see the one in front it not another plane, at least to me anyhow.

Aren't there pairs of satellites orbiting the earth in tandem that are mapping the globe with lasers or something? Thats what this looks like to me.

ETA; Yah, Okay. Not saying that is what this particular sighting is... okay? But they are up there...

so you can't rule it out.

Awesome video work. I don't see how it could be any of our air craft given the slow speed, and the lights.

I have seen a couple of UFO's and when I see video footage of the encounters of others, I can't help thinking and feeling that it is our future selves coming back for a look.

i dont know..the lead object does not look like a plane at all.

That was my first thought .
The second object is a plane so the chances are the first one is as well , the reason they appear to slow down would be due to the angle they are being viewed at , approaching or leaving the viewer .

The youtube comments suggest maybe it's a few drones doing something?

Wouldn't both planes have strobes if they one is refuelling, even at any time ? Why just one ?

I can agree with that, but you would think even if it was a commercial flight it wouldnt be able to slow down in tandem with the lead light, it would have to pass it eventually. I can just imagine what the pilots were saying to each other if this was so.

I have a hard time with Satellites because the guy taking the video thinks they are only a 1000 feet or so up. Even if he is off by a couple thousand...still too low.

The reason they move slow is because the plane are moving towards/away from the camera at a slight angle and so appear to be moving across the screen slowly.

watched it again, they do appear fairly low.
could be a prop plane following a "sighting"
i still think the lead object is not a plane.

whotookmymojo videos have been posted here before and none of them I've deen show anything out of the ordinary .
Just another one of those channels .

I just can't take night time footage seriously. I have yet to see a night time "UFO" video that has convinced me that there is anything other than a prosaic explanation for the object being recorded. This video is no different. It could be any number of things, and that sort of ambiguity is precisely the problem with night time footage. It could be a couple of those remote controlled personal UAV's for all we know.

Im going with in air re-fueling. I'm ex-navy but this isn't my field and my air force buddy isnt here at the moment. Can planes manually switch off their strobes? seems like a feature that you would find standard on any stealth craft at least.

I have no idea and no expertise, so I'm either taking your word or going with my gut telling me one is a plane and the other a helicopter flying lower, with the distance between them looking as though they're both traveling together and at the same speed. But, I really have no idea.

and the lead object looks like no plane i have ever seen.

The flashing lights of the trailing object do look like the two wing lights of a plane.

A sighting report from Oregon on the same date is also on MUFON:

We were camping at the Illinois River, in Selma, Oregon when we heard what sounded like a plane flying over. Four of us were in a tent and first we saw a red light that at first glance appeared to be a plane light very high in the sky, a few seconds later there were 2 more lights flashing behind it and we noticed it was not 2 planes flying in a path high in the sky but 1 large object very low flying just above the treeline!! It appeared to be a vary narrow triangular shape, with 1 red light up near the front & 2 flashing lights in the middle. It flew slow with a loud humming type sound and followed the river to the NW.
