I wonder how many people truly believe in the Creationist's world view today, it must be like less than 2% of the world population who truly believes in that with all their mind - because anyone with a tiny amount of knowledge can discard all that nonsense.

As for this thread, I think that it is quite hard for us to judge something that we never saw through our set of eyes. But the evidence I've stumbled upon and summarized through various ancient texts leads to the conclusion that there was a civilization before us that did things more different then we do.

Then their civilization came to a collapse for some reason and they started spreading information on how to do various things like build big pyramid shaped structures and entrusted information about their knowledge of various things to certain people in various places on earth.

Those various people became Kings, high priests or in other words, people in high regard in their society and they should've spread the message more thoroughly to people.

Instead, they gathered "initiates" and entrusted a selected few like they were entrusted and this became the occult societies as we know them today.

And as happens with time, things lose their meaning as languages change and they become legends, myths and mysticism...

So I say, convey the knowledge of old in to your own language in your mind and connect the dots and you will start to see.

Everybody stop being rhetorical blind narrow minded push offs. Grow up. Be open minded yet critical at the same time and hope with all your being that you will find truth.

A point well made greyer. The existence of Neanderthals and Denisovans brings to light the existence of other intelligent species besides homosapiens, who became extinct. Creationists can never explain how thirty to eighty thousand years ago the planet was a radically different place, in which modern man was not dominant. From my own experience, faith is over played and used to keep people from thinking. Why would a legitimate god or creator approve of such ignorance or is this a god conceived of ignorance?

You know a lot of people believe in cycles, end of the world, end of days, depopulation etc

The problem is most think all this will happen in their lifetime, like their lifetime is some special point in the universe. We have an average of 70 million years between resets, but you know it is going to happen any day now. Yellowstone will erupt in the next 100,000 years...or most likely tomorrow. This year, just like every year before it is the end of America, or end of < add favorite belief >

The truth is that all this will happen, one day, but as I said before I'm not waiting on the edge of my seat that anything will happen in my blink of a life time.

the greatest thing about these cycles is that they repeat regardless on a scaled level. One thing people don't seem to understand that how a cycle can work to our advantage through karmic willpower and each individual person actually attempting to bring forth that change on a unified conscious scale. One step and then the next will get you where you're going. Whether it be destructive or constructive, when i go to sleep i will die and when i wake up i will be reborn again and that day will be another lifetime of a cycle of birth and death through each individual cell in my body.

How about... We are related to all life on this planet, we even share DNA with trees and grass, all related. We are also element 6 carbon, and so our karma influence is the same as any other element(s) like a dirt clod, a bug or a animal in the woods, or even a tree i.e. none.... Many mystic cultures have understood this for a very long time, but the part they got wrong is they put the human aspect into it to suggest we are special beyond the basic fundamentals of the universe. We are not special or have Karma etc we are just another element of the universe.

But do you not think we have one trait that separates us from the rest?
I do, I believe that it is our ability to understand. Our knowledge and ability to learn separates us from the rest in my eyes, we could and should be the vanguards of life on Earth but yet we do nothing but destroy it.

Fair enough other animals have shown compassion not dissimilar to a human, animals such as dolphins or primates. These animals however have no ability to understand and reason like we do. I agree though, we are nothing but an exotic yet fundamental element of the universe.

It's the end of the great cycle, where God hits the reset button on Earth. Eventually the golden age will return its beginning cycle, once the earth recovers from the devastation.

I've said before that I believe humans are far older than we are taught in school and older than most believe but that's because they take what their teachers say as fact and that's it. they don't question it further. I enjoy finding people who do the opposite and look at the evidence for themselves. I've also said that we go through periods of great advances and either wipe ourselves out or something happens to send us back into the Stone Age. Then we start all over. If it resets after this cycle when will that happen? Wasn't the end of the cycle suppose to be in 2012? It makes sense that it would start over as I have said because the Mayans said when our cycle ends its not the end of humanity but a new beginning. 'A golden age' and the golden age was first on your list so it makes sense to me that it starts over. But when? When does this 'iron age' end?
