There is a difference, I think, between self defense and killing in cold blood.

Folks keep bringing up Joshua Chellew and other horrible crimes committed by Blacks against Whites ,but they are missing the point all these individuals or gangs are under arrest and will have their day in court ..if I am mistaken then I hope decent folks of whatever hue or background take to the streets and demand justice, the problem that black folks have is with the justice system itself not some random killing of Blacks by Whites but the inequality in that system look at any stats for the same crimes committed by Blacks/Hispanics vs Whites and the arrest and punishment meted out. In the case of black folks there is a long laundry list of such inequality under the law that goes back decades even centuries..If I resurrect them I would be accused of using history as a crutch.

Mate, I am on the same side.

But black folks have allowed Mis-information and Dis-information along with OMITTED information.. [history=info]

Garbage in / Garbage out.

the "old wound" of slavery has to be re-visited but in a factual, accurate, brutally honest, complete, concise way.

Once the pain of realizing [in regards to slavery] that " hey man, you weren't the only ones".

And black people have to take the FIRST RIGHT STEP... Quit BEING BLACK!!....
JUST BE..

I quit being WHITE awhile ago. Just BE.. without the added descriptive color word

I can find no empathy for a tatted up gold tooth wearing thug that was out after midnight in the warmest state in the country but wearing a hoodie with the hoodie over his head, in a gated community and when approached by an adult (the head of the neighborhood watch someone that anyone that is supposed to be there should recognize) his response instead of being respectful until learning what Zimmerman's intentions were decided he would thug out and put himself into a man's position and violently confront a man. The picture put out all over the place by the media was a few years old and tried portraying Martin as an innocent child instead of the thug chilf of a member of the crips. His phone plainly showed where his mind was at. Drugs, guns, obscene guestures. The ignorant witnesses for the prosecution that constantly changed their stories to suit the racist agenda of the prosecuters. I am tired of the race card being played by black people. Do you see Jews or American Indians constantly pulling the race card whenever things don't go their way? No and they have been persecuted far far more than blacks ever will be.

Quite often, because criticising the jews is 1. anti semitism, and 2. anti semitism is shut down instantly.
I often hear people claiming to be jewish calling the radio host i listen to out for being an anti semite, simply because they lost their argument and seek to derail further conversation.

Using the term in that manner is more disgusting and demeaning to those that lost their lives to anti semitism in the past.

Im not sure that a thread debating anti semitism would even be allowed. But a thread discussing racism is allowed.

I think one reason that woman got in such trouble is because she went to the garage got the weapon, came back into the house, and then fired the warning shot. Why did she go back in the house if she was scared for her life and I could be wrong but aren't warning shot's illegal in almost all states? Let's not forget she didn't take the deal for 3 years in prison.

I am all ready for this post racial world you speak of,and where I live right now is no where near perfect but many have come to understand in a different environment that all others including them can be seen as useless Gaijin equal to all other Gaijins and they are so overwhelmed at being a minority that I am asked how do I handle this,I told them keep focus on what you are doing try not to sweat the small stuff that's how we get through the day back in the states..If I told you most Black folks would rather just be you probably wouldn't believe me but for a thousand and one small incidents a day reminding you to keep your guard up..and most of that reminder came from self Identified White folks.

Well that is sad because we Love you. Regardless of how hate filled you may be. Tell me sir or madam what I have done to make you hate me? I stated that I'm sick of the race card and expanded on that. Because my name is "Christian Voice" and I stated these things you hate Christians? How lonely you must feel.

Maybe I'm slow but why do we keep bringing up the stand your ground law with the Zimmerman case? I thought Zimmerman didn't use that defense and instead used self defense. But then I read this article and it say's stand your ground law had something to do with the case
Stand your ground

Look, that kind of thing comes from both sides of the fence. I attended a high school in Frayser TN growing up. Yes the very place that Three 6 Mafia is from and rap often about the gangs and drugs and racism of Frayser. I graduated as a junior and in my Junior class of about 150 there were 15 white people including myself. We had a lot of gang troubles and there were killings and fights often in the name of racism. I had my butt whipped so many times because of the color of my skin. I grew up despising black people because of it. However when I was about 18 I started evaluating my life and what I thought and why and I began accepting people as people instead of white or black or Asian or Hispanic. That being said things constantly fell into place in and around Memphis that just knock you back a few steps for every step forward you take. I struggled with that as I joined the Air Force and traveled around. I gained many Black friends whom I really enjoyed being around but it was not long that their racist side always came out. They would start making racist remarks about things they didn't like. They would call me nigga but lost their minds if I said it back. They accused me of being racist because I didn't vote for Obama the first time. He stood for nothing I believed in. It had nothing to do with race. I constantly said that if Colin Powell ran I'd vote for him in a heartbeat. I never believed in having a "Commander in Chief" with no military experience. It's like everywhere I turned I saw racism coming more from black people. I watched a movie on regular tv where the words 'n-word' and faggot were bleeped out but GD was said several times. So now black people and homosexuals are more important than God Almighty.
That is where I'm coming from on this issue.

Also, it seems it was gang related.

According to the warrant, Chellew flashed blue colors and claimed allegiance to the “Crips” street gang. Three of the suspects were dressed in red, the colors affiliated with the “Crips” longtime rival, the “Bloods.” The exchange was captured on the station’s surveillance cameras.

Oh, so a guy has something blue on him and this is justified as a gang related killing. That's interesting. And it won't get any attention because the guys were arrested, and yet Zimmerman acted out of self defense, and after acquittal, mobs of people went out in the streets and broke windows, set fires, and wrote graffiti on cop cars.

Interesting world view you have. No, I don't think it's because they were arrested. If it was about arrest, then people would accept a jury verdict and not go out in the streets and destroy property.
Oh yah and it was four against one and he was unarmed too. They did not attempt to stop cars from hitting him.

If George Zimmerman was not engaged in an unlawful activity and was attacked in any place where he had a right to be, he had no duty to retreat and had the right to stand his ground and meet force with force, including deadly force if he reasonably believed that it was necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or another or to prevent the commission of a forcible felony.

change the name "George Zimmerman" to "trayvon martin" and it clearly indicates that TM had the SYG behind him, and not GZ.

Yes, you are correct. They did not use Stand Your Ground for defense. But I guess because it was brought up early in the case, that is what people heard about it.

Wow, the Christian haters are out in full force. I'll ask this yet again, it seems I cannot post on any topic on this site without someone bringing Christianity into it and start bashing it. What does my faith have to do with this thread? Why are you derailing it so with your hatred? Either stick to the topic or get out of the discussion.

I never heard that TM was a member of crips. Now, the media seems to have swept that under the rug and yet it's used as justification for the death of this Chellow fellow.

Why would the media go this route?

In what world do you live in,you said it was dark some creep not wearing a uniform or carrying a badge accosted you, asking god knows what at this point no one knows non of us were there threw the first blow but that tatted gold tooth thug ended up dead.

Off course you would want to believe the cop assailant, accused sex molester of his cousin and woman beater that he did not start this..btw whatever happened to that much touted Christian love for thy brother?? is it love thy neighbor as thy self except if he is wearing a hoodie??
