Here's another speculation. Do you think Treyvon Martin was on the verge of killing George Zimmerman, or was he just intent on giving him a good ass kicking? Was his life really in danger?

YES!!!

One well aimed punch to the temple or throat and you will die quickly. It has happened many many times before.

Good! Someone gets it! I figured that out when I was oh Martin's age 17. ANY FIGHT CAN RESULT IN DEATH. NO WEAPONS ARE REQUIRED! Most people are not aware of this but should be. That is why I find it so funny that the prosecution, which knows better, kept calling Martin unarmed.

Punching anyone in a serious way is opening the doorway to "Anything is possible".

People need to learn the truth about violence. Smacking someone around can actually kill them.

There's a very low probability of that. Eg. MMA, Boxing, etc.

Incorrect.

Those are trained fighters.

They are purposely avoiding kill shots and yes they know of them very well.

Random idiots on the street don't know about fatal blows or weak points, they just throw punches in a fury randomly.

And what if those punches knocked someone down head first into the pavement? See countless things can happen that can lead to death as a result of physical violence (even fist fighting).

Erm, then they would have actual recorded audio evidence disputing his story........

Well yeh, that post is definitely an example of racism.

How is making a joke about bombing a hockey riot racist?

I think you are over reacting just a tad. There is no agenda to step in and kill all the african americans, and while riots can be destructive to the people they victimize (regardless of race), I don't think it's fair to profile any one ethnic group for them.

the jury reached the only logical decision possible, and i applaud them for it.

the media must be held accountable for how they portrayed this case. the bias of juxtaposing a picture of martin when he was 12 with a pic of zimmerman in county orange (all the charges were dropped against zimmerman) is incredibly blatant.

i love freedom of speech and freedom of the press, BUT that freedom ends when it is used to violate the rights of others. intentionally setting up a situation where riots are a distinct possibility (i wouldn't be surprised if zimmerman is murdered and chaos ensues) through straight up lies is NOT protected in the constitution.

i hope zimmerman sues the pants off the media, and that the bias they showed in the case comes to light.

Ummmmm.....did everyone forget the evidence already? The trail just ended!!!

Trayvon mounted and was beating GZ, he saw GZ's gun, reached for it and said "You're gonna die tonight!"

There was a HIGH probabilty GZ was going to die!

Hey, you can disagree but the important thing is that THE JURY AGREED WITH ME!

It seems you are suggesting a dangerously callous mentality. Don’t follow suspicious people, look away if you hear cries for help, don’t get involved, mind your own business. That is what you seem to be promoting. At least that is how it comes off to me.

Remind me what law was Martin breaking at the time Zimmerman followed him?

Remind me what law was broken by following him is a better question.

That's a very good question! I got lost in all the jumbo jumbo.

What was trayvon doing wrong before Zimmerman started following him?

Shucks it happened to me again. You beat me to it. Second time today. I have to start reading and typing faster.

IMO, the verdict was subliminal. Da w man still rules the U.S. Anything they do is always justified. I also think this was done in hope of a riot. Let's see if they get their way. Tic Toc.

Zimmerman was first assaulted by a hood rat, and then by political hack with a penchant for race-baiting. The real tragedy here is the abuse of prosecutorial power. Angela Corey is a criminal. This was the only correct outcome. Fair winds and following seas George ...

What is a "hood rat"?

Just asking Mr USMC.

Not the verdict that I thought they would come to, not the opinion I hold...but this is how our system works.

Time to move on, this case is closed.

All we can do now is maybe examine current laws to see if they can be tightened up to prevent situations like this in the future.

Trayvon was walking around at night wearing a hoodie in a neighborhood that recently had a spree of break ins. It's only natural that he would be noticed and followed, when you put everything in context.

Did Trayvon have the right to do so? Sure. And George Zimmerman had the right to be suspicious of him for doing so, under the circumstances.

Yo.

Are you blind, or have you ignored the fact that Zimmerman WASN'T "DA WHITE MAN".

People have died in both. Additionally, the biggest factor is the referee. There might not be anyone to stop the fight for you if you are getting your head stomped in the street.

GO ZIMMERMAN WHOOOHOOO A FREE MAN

This was the problem since in Florida it would need the same 'beyond reasonable doubt" to say manslaughter as it does for murder 2.

There really isn't much difference other than they could find him guilty for both but pick manslaughter as the lessor of the two. Since they couldn't for murder 2 they couldn't for manslaughter either.

So we should all be unarmed scared people then? We should not have a right to protect our neighborhoods? I don't want to live in that world, I am glad I do not live in that world.

You do live in that world. Only in Florida and if your prosecutor is terrible would you get off like Zimmerman.

In most other places, you would have been charged with manslaughter and begged by your attorney to plead guilty because there was no way even Johnny Cochran could get you off.

That's not accurate at all. Where I live, which isn't Florida these days, we have very good Castle laws, and you can defend your life, home, family and neighbors with deadly force if needed. Someone knocking you down and beating your head into pavement is assault. That's a felony. Deadly force to prevent a felony against your person is justifiable. No one defending their life should be charged with a crime.
