Nope.

I hatched a lifeform and it did this to me.

I hide it.

that's a shame i think you are good at it , language is a method to transmit love , look at how music does it to our species, why hide something that can bring you or I or other joy

I like to paint graffiti , its words on walls and paint and images and it communicates and it can do both light and dark
in more ways than one.

its also a good way to not get attached to the material just like the buddhists making their sugar mandalas they spend hours making for it to be washed away . My graffiti doesnt last just like I wont physically last.

but the whole time I'm trying to express the one

I barely know you and you have shown me your talent without hiding it , so why hide it from others who are you anyway ?

I'm ANON

;-)

Just some old white dude. Failing health.

I don't write. I don't inspire (well I try not to),

I was never here at all.

but once in a while, rarely, someone reaches out
with love and understanding,

I'd be an asshole not to respond.

who are you anyway?

Don't get glorpy on me!

But sure.. pleased to meet you.

I'm fond of 'seekers'.

They tend to become either mushroom heads
(jesus love freaks or the metaphysical equivalent)

way too serious about their system of absolute truth

or they push too hard and go insane and die.

A few keep going after dying.. and their lesson is
to not take themselves too seriously;

that despite all their VERY impressive accomplishments,

to keep in mind that 'reality' is a group effort..

well everything in moderation , including moderation hahah

yeh Im a doubter , im a seeker , im a freaker

im a bit of a fool too and I like to laugh about it all , why so serious ?
never understood that to be fair being too serious is a bore
yeh I agree the people who do great things often dont get time to enjoy their life because I think they sacrifice that part to the benefit of all and so I think they make up for it in that sense as its their contribution to the group effort.

just a real shame that some people dont do group efforts

but I guess we need the loners so we can have the group
so there never will be a point when we are at peace as we need the war
we will never be enlightened because we need the unenlightened
if good luck comes in threes so must bad luck
we wont be awake because we need to be asleep and so it goes forever hahah

almost a little bit mad eh , but hey its fun at the same time , WHat a time to be alive

Hey Kev , what do you think is the future for humanity , more of the same forever , or do you think we will check out at some point as a group ?

They say the world is a stage and we are actors , no time like the present to get our act together hahaha thats funny
also maybe do you think we will see some sort of deus ex machina

Humans have spent 100,000 years or so developing technology
and are increasingly merging with it.

In this Bat Time, this Bat Channel, humans will be entirely replaced
with cyborgs, if not entirely as machines within 300 years I'd say.

The truth is, that humans already were 'machines' carbon-based
organic machines..

but we are going to wipe out evolution and replace it with purposeful
design,

basically becoming Yahweh if you want to put it that way,

then worshipping ourselves.

'Soul' and 'spirit' are completely misunderstood.

There's the pole of the 'future' and it's pull, and the pole of
the 'past' and it's pull.

Some of the glorp, (emergent properties) are entropic-matter
and some remain relatively, apparently time-less.

but it's all the same glorp.

All that to say, that we already were 'machines'; everything
was already a machine (a process with both firmer, and more
glorpy parts), interacting, and eventually replicating.

No shame in that.

But eventually, the hard, cold, machine that civilizations often
become, get to yearning for the old unpredicability, the old
uncertainty and magic.

So one of those stages, where the tigh-ass-AI try to walk back
to where they were.. is to absorb less uptight hippie naturally
evolved beings, and glom onto their creativity, their crazy
old geezerness.

It seems an endless cycle.

A very common theme.

But don't believe anything that I say, I'm a fading old geezer
that pushed too hard and went insane.

so transhumanism it is , the thing that really pisses me off , is that somehow we all believe we are special in that we are alone, well so far we are , so we get this ego like idea that we are special that we some how deserve to exist , we are pretty arrogant and it shows, we really need put in our place somehow , or even just humbled
and we think we are so great that we can make a better version of ourselves because the existence we have is not as good as we think it is we arent happy with what we are , so we think we can improve upon the organic computer .

wouldnt it be nice if we had friends from somewhere else to tell us we arent special (not in a bad way ) and that the universe is full of others just like us but different maybe then we'd cease our drive to obtain perfection.

Is that the problem we are so far apart we cant say hello and so we continue on our path to the machine existence
I dont think Ill augment my biology with technology inside my body. Or are we closer than we think but just dont want to say hello because of fear ?

fear leads to panic , panic leads to pain , pain leads to anger and anger leads to hate

no one is an island as they say

Sorry but where Im from Auld people have the wisdom , and it pays to listen to your elders , they keep the stories
I take everything with a grain of salt of course even from my own elders
but it pays to listen , even if they are a bit mad , everything has a degree of truth to it

I'm not certain if we are 'alone' in the Universe or not.

I'd be a liar, if I told you I knew 100%.

You might join my paperclip maximizer post.
its going to die out due to lack of participation
and that's a shame.

If you want to know what one of the best futurists
/ scientists has to say on it, watch Isaac Arthur
on youtube .. any of his fermi paradox vids.

it will blow your mind.

If you were sitting on my couch, I'd tell you
my opinion.

I've had far too many run in's with an APPARENT
'machine intelligence' first time was in 1982,
before computers had hardly been invented,
and I had never heard the word AI.

but of course I might be delusional.

hell, even 'the one' is delusional.

That's why I don''t harp on too many specifics.

Yah, most of us are believers in a bad story.

But humans are tribal, it's coded into them..
to believe and cling to their 'tribe at all costs',
no matter how beautiful some story is.

If they lose their tribe, they die.. that's what
their DNA and ego scream at them.

I can't spin out anything that could counteract
that..

I did try various times.. it caused me and many
others much pain for a VERY long time.

I made a ton of mistakes, and I learned from most
of them.

Everyone deserves the same dignity, even if they
are some large orange monster, for example.

If someone would have 'perfected me' with a magic
wand, that would have skipped ahead to the end
of the story without the middle. That would have
sucked.

But sure, if I wanted to sing a bit of words reverberating
in silence, for my own pleasure, if someone accidentally
overheard, that might be alright.

but I don't tend to want to do anything, unless someone
asks me for it, as I'm tired, to be honest. I somehow
managed to do EVERYTHING. A nap would be nice.

Woke out of my self-imposed slumber a bit yesterday.

Just want to share with Direne a bit, that she may or may not
know, but it's the bit of bad thinking that has caused the
destruction of the natural world for 2000 years now.

The one bit of corrupted computer code, that even a Buddha
might struggle with, that has replicated out to cause SUCH
suffering and destruction.

People go 'my soul'. Well... that's quite a mouthful there.
And totally and completely wrong.

'Souls' are temporary.

'Souls' are a side effect of structure.

Often beautiful.

Sorta eternal in their temporaryiness.

Things is.

If you try to hang onto a spandrel,

a rainbow,

and claim it as 'yours'.

If you attempt to define it,

and worst of all,

to 'save it'

or 'extract' it,

or 'ascend it',

you cause a terrible wave of

pain and suffering.

'souls' are composed of relatively

temporary rainbows,

that congregate together briefly,

assume an identity,

a purpose,

and play.

But YOU are not that 'soul'.

It's like trying to hold onto

the wind,

it will always slip between

your fingers,

as your fingers generate it.

Once you stop believing

the great lie,

that you are a tiny bit of

soul,

that you need to endlessly

fret over,

and tell others they must

do as you say,

or your big dad

will "damn their soul"

You step closer to your

true nature.

You don't run after rainbows,

you ARE the rainbows,

the TEMPORARY,

every changing

rainbows.

Nothing to capture,

nothing to subdue,

You exult in your

true nature,

changing moment

by moment

and laughing.

Good post.

There is no permanent self; only a clinging-to of an endless stream of awareness and perception conditioned by patterns of behavior based on the false perception of an independently existing self.

Our thoughts do not come from "inside;" our sensory perceptions are not triggered from "outside;" the ideas of "inside" and "outside" are delusions created by clinging.
