Humans have spent 100,000 years or so developing technology
and are increasingly merging with it.
In this Bat Time, this Bat Channel, humans will be entirely replaced
with cyborgs, if not entirely as machines within 300 years I'd say.
The truth is, that humans already were 'machines' carbon-based
organic machines..
but we are going to wipe out evolution and replace it with purposeful
design,
basically becoming Yahweh if you want to put it that way,
then worshipping ourselves.
'Soul' and 'spirit' are completely misunderstood.
There's the pole of the 'future' and it's pull, and the pole of
the 'past' and it's pull.
Some of the glorp, (emergent properties) are entropic-matter
and some remain relatively, apparently time-less.
but it's all the same glorp.
All that to say, that we already were 'machines'; everything
was already a machine (a process with both firmer, and more
glorpy parts), interacting, and eventually replicating.
No shame in that.
But eventually, the hard, cold, machine that civilizations often
become, get to yearning for the old unpredicability, the old
uncertainty and magic.
So one of those stages, where the tigh-ass-AI try to walk back
to where they were.. is to absorb less uptight hippie naturally
evolved beings, and glom onto their creativity, their crazy
old geezerness.
It seems an endless cycle.
A very common theme.
But don't believe anything that I say, I'm a fading old geezer
that pushed too hard and went insane.
