"The Obama administration has clearly declared war on the press. It has declared war on investigative journalists - our sources, I think the only recourse to this kind of behavior by the government is to say back to the government, 'we declare war on you,' and from this point forward, we should no longer - the media as a whole - cooperate in any manner with the government “We should withdraw all our cooperation and we should publish everything we know, because it's a free press, it's not a free-except-for-when-the-government-tells-me-to-do-it press, and we've been way too easygoing with these guys."

...When did Michael Hastings make the following statement?

...
Also the theory of miner49r that Hastings may have been trying to get to a Foreign Consulate is quite interesting and well presented in his thread: link

Is it odd that the news guy got to the crash before the fire department? There must be wrecks all over LA every day and he just happens to pull this one?
Hey - MindBodySpiritComplex
I found this... Looks like he made these statements in an interview that was broadcast on "Current TV". The date on the web page, says May 20, 2013

Edward Snowden, an employee of defence contractor Booz Allen Hamilton at the National Security Agency, arrives in Hong Kong from Hawaii. He carries four laptop computers that enable him to gain access to some of the US government's most highly-classified secrets.
Perhaps more information will soon be forthcoming.

just had a quick look:
earliest longer gap going back from Jun 12 is Apr 18-25 link So his twitter silence in itself is certainly not significant.

Unfortunately, "no comment" doesn't necessarily mean they have anything to hide in the way that you probably think. There could be any number of reasons why they wouldn't comment that would really just amount to something pretty mundane.

The passenger side rear view mirror could be significant. Also looking at the photos there is a large dent in the passenger side rear quarter panel above the rear tire.
Is it possible that he side swiped another car during the bottoming out and fishtailing process?
Also, I was thinking lastnight....on the other thread we found the two office locations of Rolling Stone magazine. Which is good...but not good enough. His last article was for BuzzFeed. Reading the email he sent out He was talking specifically about BuzzFeed. "BuzzfeedGQ er HQ" BuzzFeed's main office is in New York.
I am going to look today and see if I can find the LA branch of BuzzFeed.

Could Jennifer Robinsons Twitter feed be worth looking at a well? I don't know anything about Twitter but pehaps her later feeds may hold something.
