Better military authoritarianism than muslim brotherhood getting messages from god and sending them to the people.

I disagree. If the people elect leadership and form a government based on a certain religion.....that is their choice. Personally, I wouldn't like it but I am lucky enough to live in America where we have the documents in place that give us the right to separation of church and state.

The military is designed and trained to kill and conduct war operations. They should not be in the business of civilian governance. I'd rather see a theistic government be put in place than a military dictatorship.

Mubarrak was an air force general and certainly did better than morsi. It was much more secular.

Granted neither is ideal but its all opinion anyway and we all have one. Some people hate socialists, some hate capitalists, some hate the military, some hate the church.

I don't really care how they choose to govern themselves...I just hope it's "organic" and built by the people.

I just don't see Morsi fighting to his death. In the end he will give up and wait to play another day. That picture with all those people is simply amazing. Shows that they have the guts to speak out for a better future.

Peace

On a side note, how is the zimmerman trial more important than what is going on in Egypt?

I wish the Egyptian people luck on regaining their freedoms and a better economy.

I read someone asked, "where is Obama?"
As normal, Obama is on vacation I believe. I read in a speech he said "let there be light where there is no light". I'm thinking, who does he think he is now? Supreme being of the world?

I wish the Egyptian people luck in getting freedom back and a better economy. I believe the supreme being (sarcasm) is on vacation in South Africa or somewhere. You're on your own but we the people wish you luck.

Not one single U.S. news network is covering this at all. It's all the Zimmerman trial. live. Every single one of them!

I found massive coverage of the crisis and military coup in Egypt, on RT. Russia Today TV. It's amazing the footage they are showing...absolutely amazing.

RT live stream: So you can watch it here.

That is EXACTLY how I feel.
I can't believe they are covering the trial on tv and not the coup going on.
It blows my mind.

It's more of a financial news network but CNBC was showing pictures of it routinely on it's station. The mainstream news here in the US is a joke when it comes to covering international stories. I hear more real news in a few minutes on a financial news network than I often hear watching the mainstream national news. The mainstream news covers trials, celebrities and anything associated with them as if that was the only thing happening. They will probably mention something happening in Egypt tonight for a few seconds before switching off to some July 4th fireworks or trial story.

kinda like they didn't cover the third party debate in america the past election cycle either. obama and romney got all the airtime and won 98% of the vote.

what they show the zimmerman trial, although indeed an american issue, is of much less significance than a government change. the zimmerman trial is "good" in building racial hatred and second they get to keep people in the dark since MB lost and that is whom they supported all along.

win, win for ptb and lose, lose for everyone else.

some people may never wake up. i blame the media for ignorance. sure its on the internet but some prefer tv instead especially the old timers who cant master technology.

what they show, what they don't show, the spin, the exaggerations, the downplaying etc. all orchestrated from the top directly or indirectly. no doubt about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is so pathetic I could spit nails. A forceful change of power is occurring in one of the cultural centers and heritage sites for the Human Species......and a garden variety defense shooting gone sideways in Florida is FAR more important than the futures of 10's of millions of people.

RUSSIA of all people...THEY report on world changing events to shame our own media for the petty B.S. ours considers "Earth Shattering".

I've mentioned this before but this is a dandy time to bring it up again. Days before the CT shooting last year and quite a coincidence for a test of timing, I swore off *ALL* broadcast and Cable television based news. Every last channel and bit of it. I get 100% now from the net, hard copy news paper and independent research material I find or produce myself.

THIS IS WHY. If someone had no internet and wasn't near a paper, they may go through the whole day believing nothing more important than the trial in Florida had ever really happened today. Our media should hang their heads in utter shame for the pathetic laughingstocks they've become.

News? It's not NEWS...It's Newstainment and with a Tabloid flash at that.

*** There is something VERY VERY wrong when we have to look to Moscow for accurate news of world events that impact millions and have played central roles in our OWN policy. The media just doesn't report what doesn't make Washington happy ...often enough to be a sick joke.

Why is Obama always MIA when it comes to major political upheavals. He is a big reason Morsi made it into power in the first place. Where is he now? Just like Benghazi, out of sight, out of mind.

The Oval Office and State in general too,, Des?
A day or two later their standard boilerplate will decry the action, likely
going to call this 'a lawless and violent act of treason against a legally
elected administration.' Oh, d' irony. Seems the puppets are cut free
and just laying there now, and nobody in DC wants to pick up on it.

It's too bad the Muslim Brotherhood and their puppets looked like the
most solid choice for the people of Egypt to get a stable and viable
government, working in their interests. I guess looks nowdays are
deceiving anywhere you look...
