Keep in mind, these guys are one half of a civil war that was hot long before the US showed up. They're not a bunch of pastoral goat-herders who reluctantly took up arms in defense of Mother Afghanistan when the evil Americans arrived. They're heavily-armed ultra-religious whackjobs who torture, maim, and kill in order to frighten people into living under their barbaric theocracy. I hope you don't consider that a "freedom fighter." If you do, why don't you go find some Afghan women and explain to them how the Taliban was fighting for their freedom all this time.

News flash soldiers don't pick the war. Congress and the president do.

Is that so? When was the last draft? Who told these people they NEEDED to pick up arms and go oppress others? Most likely a misplaced sense of duty and patriotism.

Nope, not gonna cut it. Every soldier today has the choice to be a part of the machine that makes this world deadly and cruel, or not.

Soldiers complete missions. That's it. Don't like it? There are 535 d-bags in Washington you could talk to.

No, I blame those who make the conscious decision, to SUPPORT the 535 d-bags in congress who claim to have authority under rule of law. Be it soldiers or civilians.

Christ on a crutch! Tenth,do you see any good jobs out there for young men?
Do you see the manufacturing has died out?.....Its gone to the fringes of the empire.....
The roman empire was as hollow as this one at the end.....
Theres no place for a lot of these people but the army etc.....they come from places like detroit or mobile....
The government arranged it so...because .we need the soldiers to keep the empire expanding or it will contract and die....
just like rome did.....
The fact is we are all MANIPULATED IN WAYS WE DONT UNDERSTAND YET...When it finally comes to light how much deliberate psychological programming, we are subject to....
maybe well all understand whats been happening to us since the 50s.....

Why are you civies dogging our asses for leadership errors that YOU need to fix?
It was my job to fight and win. I did that and now you think I am someone to be shunned or chastised because I did my job?
What kind of high school BS is that? You are LUCKY to have us,and we are ashamed to know what is done in secrecy. Without us YOUR TURN would come and we HAVE to win so ,it's a good thing they send US not you GET IT?

I'm pretty tired of watching soldiers kill people, regardless of where they are, I don't need to be exposed to that crap.

~Tenth

I have always thought that being lackadaisical will eventually get you killed anyway, whether it be cancer, hit by a car or a train.... or being shot by terrorists. Personally I think it is good that our boys are doing their job effectively. Im not a fan of watching people get killed by our soldiers either but you can thank WW2, the Korean war and Vietnam for that. I don't think that the media has any business filming war footage..... it makes for hippies and bleeding hearts and for political agendas. The media should stay out of all wars it makes our military inefficient. I cant even imagine how fast the ME excursions would have been if our bastard media hadnt been there to film it, could have been done years ago IMO.

Us or them? We invaded their country for absolutely no reason, we've blown their family members to smithereens, and it's us or them??? How about we book the hell out of that country and leave them alone?

Wait. Aren't Taliban forces part of the rebel forces against the Syrian regime? But but but...aren't we delivering them weapons ?

Oh...right. That's in Syria. That's where the good Taliban live. These Afghani Taliban forces are a whole different ball game.

For a moment there...I thought I was confused.

so because congress/the president pick a war, the killing is justified? the war is a result of deceit and lies.

sorry, but you're a disposable tool to them. they're quite happy you think the way you do, not questioning, just following orders.

Win? What did you win? Cheap lithium batteries? If you engage in a war, you've already lost.

It was going on from the day the Taliban took over the country. This is a matter of historical record.

Taliban oppression:

That's not the reason we are there though. We were there to get Osama bin laden and al Qaeda. Which we did. we are still there though. So to Afghanis it now looks more like an occupation. We were never there to bring democracy or improve the society.

Individual crimes should be punished, obviously.

By your logic, heinous crimes justify war. Are the crimes in the US any less violent? I'm sure you could find a few (thousand) examples.

So Russia would be justified in nuking the US?

But the US government is not there to "help people". They are foreign invaders who have attacked and occupied a nation for the purposes of war profiteering and natural resources.

There's nothing honorable about killing for money...

Funny. In the video I saw positioning toward the north against the SF group.

I saw flanking attempts by broken away elements.

I saw continued threats by emplaced weapons.

I love it when people who dont know what they're looking at think they can tell us what they're looking at.
