After E3 Amazon.com has a poll running asking mainstream IQs which console they will be buying.

www.facebook.com...

Checkout this guy's reaction knowing his console wants to control him lol.

The backlash is so huge that I wonder if the NWO trying to bite more than they can chew they ended up awakening a lot of mainstream IQs.

There are hundreds of videos showing in a funny way this. So all I got to say is thank you Microsoft you just woke up millions of people.

Microsoft: "Can't play used games."

Me: "Uh... Okay. I guess I'll still buy your system."

Microsoft: "And the Kinect 2 will always need to be plugged in."

Me: "Wait, what?"

Microsoft: "And there are some privacy issues with it."

Me: "... I guess I could just turn the Kinect 2 around so it isn't watching me."

Microsoft: "Nope, you sign a contract when you buy a movie, so if the Kinect 2 sees more people in the room than is allowed in the contract, it won't play it."

Me: "I guess I'm buying a PS4."

Sony: "We won't have any of those things. Suck it, Gates."

Holy crap. The guy in the first video is EXACTLY what I picture when I hear people whining about the new xbox.

Maybe this will inspire him to go outside and ride his bike.

Don't like it? DONT BUY IT!

The second video was hilarious, lol!

In all seriousness though, I think Microsoft went a touch too far this time. The games industry is getting more and more #ed up in my opinion, I don't even like Steam on the PC who refuse to process refunds for software that doesn't work.

I'm not convinced the PS4 will be any better either to be honest, they've been awfully quiet about how their system operates.

In all honesty, I'm not going to bother with either of them. The hardware is already four years old in both the XBONE and PS4, I'd rather spend a small fortune on building an up to date gaming PC which doesn't spy on me.... oh wait, I have Win8. #....

So nice to see Boogie on ATS (the first YouTube video). That is his "Francis" character but I encourage everyone to watch some of his videos where it's actually him, he can be truly inspiring and heartwarming!

As for the Xbox None? A lifetime Xbox fan here has LEFT the building!

Sony already said there were allowing full access to trade and borrow games. They also require no internet connection, and won't come equipped with a built in spy cam.

Lucky for me, I've been a Playstation guy since the 90's.

Though, to be honest, I'm in the process of making a gaming system atm. I'm not sure I'll buy one of the new consoles. I use my PS3 for Netflix, and streaming mostly, it performs these functions fine.

MS is on a path downward, it borders the ridiculous.

First the disaster with their OS abomination they call Windows 8, then the Xbox ONE which in any aspect is worse than the PS4, the "always on" requirement and the fact you cannot play used game and the requirement for the Kinect to be connected (why on Earth?) AND the PRISM scandal.

The funny thing, otherwise you could read those reports about intrusiveness of the Kinect and the camera and do it off as "fantasies" of some paranoid gamers who hang out on ATS too much
- but now it has really become reality with the just leaked PRISM scandal and to be honest, at this point nothing surprises me anymore.

I don't know WHETHER we will buy another console (we, me and wife both have PCs/laptops however had a 360)...but I know ONE THING for sure there is about 1000 reasons NOT to buy a XBOX ONE. I hope MS falls on their face big time and PS4 outsells XB one by orders of magnitude - funny thing, consumer groups and especially also concerns coming from countries like Germany (where privacy is a BIG deal) in regards to the XB One was already voiced - BEFORE the PRISM scandal was even known.

By the way..you don't have to be a terrorist but MS has no effing business to *require* me having a camera and motion sensor active...this is entirely absurd......a camera with a mandatory link to a company where we all now know the NSA uses the company to spy on people. Seriously, 5 years ago I would have said someone claiming such things would be entirely nuts...it's just unbelievable.

I put myself through school working and Managing stores like EB/Gamestop and Game crazy.

Its about what I expected as well, about the avg fan boy customer is a 18-28 man child who was raised on the internet where he could righteously expound his views as loudly and vehemently as possible.

Personally could care less the restrictions they put on the Xbox, Ive seen enough console launches to know what people bitch about pre-launch usally turns out okay.

Last launch people hated Sony, this time its Xbox. The market will determine what survives, if Microsoft is making a mistake the market shall decide that.

Frankly I say F--- both companies and build a decent gaming PC.

ETA BTW, this is no different than Apple and the Iphone following where you go, that outcry died out pretty quick... More so when you consider it wasn't apple you needed to worry about but the GOV who already was tracking everything.

Some funny videos there

Big 360 fan, love my gaming but microsoft have screwed this up big style, I actually voted on that Amazon facebook page yesterday, ps4 here I come. The Spybox one is too restrictive for my taste. Pity too was hoping that the Xbone would be unbelievable.

Wow, that guy's about one cheeseburger short of having a coronary incident, lol.

Nicely lit video for having been taken in his parents' basement, though, props to him on that.

I agree with your comments about PC's... For around £700-800 you can build a pretty decent gaming rig that outspecs the latest consoles and, for the most part, will be future proof for many years with only an occasional graphics card upgrade.

Consoles are for kiddies and morons. Real gamers have proper rigs

That said, I do have a PS3, but it is mainly used as a blu-ray player or media server - only my eldest boy plays games on it and then it is just FIFA.

As for the guy who took a swipe at Steam - They do give refunds if the game you bought is in a really bad way, but you should expect that a game bought on release day is going to be buggy. If you don't want a buggy game, don't buy on release day. There is nothing in consumer law that says they have to give you a refund, however. All that aside, they have actually brought down the cost of PC gaming and even then, have some mega-sales where AAA games can be snapped up for less than £15 and they support small developers as well.

I personally have over 100 games on Steam and yes, some I have bought have been proper shonky but everyone of those was either an early beta access, to which you should expect bugs, or a release day purchase and again, you cannot expect a flawless product until it has been out in the real world and the bugs found.

Unfortunately the ETs that seduced the governments, corporations, and religions with neat shiny things will not be able to use their neat shiny toys they say don't exist unless you agree to use the neat shiny toys they allow you to have with certain rules an regulations.

As it is above so it is below.
Trickle down...Remember?

Enjoy the shiny stuff dumb sheep....Oh I'm afraid your leaders are in this category as well.

I was using the PS3 for pretty much the same thing, then I built a HTPC, installed XBMC and never looked back. I actually swapped the PS3 just today (well, yesterday now I guess) for a half decent Acer laptop.

Best thing is, with the HTPC and XBMC plugins (1channel, projectfreeTV, BBC iPlayer, 4oD etc etc), I no longer need a TV license and have snipped off the aerial.

My main PC suits all my gaming needs, and will do for many years to come.

That being said, I think people are being a bit paranoid about the XBOX one (silly name really, makes one think of the original XBOX, which I still own, modded, 500GB HDD and XBMC on, lol, not that it has been used for years).... I think the measures taken by Microshaft are more to do with piracy than privacy....just my opinion of course.

Despite all the complaining however, I bet MS still see record sales (and I bet the bugger is hacked within 10 minutes of launch too, lol)

Aye, I do think there is an unhealthy amount of paranoia, especially round these parts! It's not as if MS are forcing you to buy their product, so if you don't like what they are offering, vote with your wallet. They'd soon get the message.

Even so, for the £400 MS are asking for the XBOX One (agreed, stupid name) you might as well plump a few hundred quid extra and get a much better gaming experience from a mid/high end rig. When you consider most people will have a £1000 TV to play it on as well, the costs against getting a PC are negligible.

I built myself an 3.6Ghz i7 with 16GB RAM, 2 x SSD hard disks and a 560Ti OC graphics card for around £800 and, aside from the GC which will need doing by the end of the year, the rest of it will last for years and years. That was last year and it still outspecs either of the new consoles coming out this year, with the added benefit of being upgradeable.
