Well, that is what you get when you write a check that you can't cash.

When my kids have ever fallen off a bike or a skateboard or been hit by a pitch; when you wipe off the blood you see that there has been no real damage. They are just bleeding from a little teeny tiny abrasion.

what you don't make your kids wear helments when they ride their bikes or skate boards? isn't that something all good parents do? of course when mine were going up we didn't have to do that.
and if you do, why do you make them wear them?

Look, you are not a reasonable person. You throw all of these pre- and ill-conceived notions and assumptions into a crazy hypothetical.

I am not gonna play. In fact, I am not going to respond to you anymore because you have lost all semblance of sane debate and examination.

Good luck.

There are two points no one is seeing.

First, if you are being punched with your head resting on concrete you are going to take the full force of each hit with no way to minimize the force.

Second, if you are raising your head it will get slammed down on the concrete with each blow as if someone is slamming your head.

Of course they wear helmets. It is the law in California. Have you ever seen the raspberry that develops after skidding on asphalt? Every seen a contusion, or abrasion to the hand after trying to catch yourself from a gnarly fall?? The knees, elbows, and shoulders usually take the worst of it.

www.orlandosentinel.com... well first casualty of tweeting while idiotic....this kid got arrested for saying if zimmerman got off he was gonan shoot up his town and cause a "mass homicide"...needless to say police had a problem with this and already arrested him

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after authorities say he tweeted out a threat to commit a "mass homicide" if George Zimmerman is found not guilty in the death of Trayvon Martin, according to the Lake County News-Sun. The since-deleted tweet, which came from @mark12394995, read “If Zimmmerman free imma shoot everybody in Zion [Illinois] causing a mass homicide, and ill get away wit it just like Zimmerman.” The teen, whose name was not released, was charged with disorderly conduct, although deputies told the News-Sun that there was no credibility to the threat.

so i wonder how many other of the violent tweeters will be in jail before this trial is over

Oh, I see, so now you are gonna switch up?? I thought he was slamming Z's head into the sidewalk dozens of times. That is clearly false.

Also, the body of Trayvon is at least 3 feet from the sidewalk. How do you reconcile that??

I am reasonable. By law how do you say he was not defending himself. Stand Your Ground law allows for this....it is by law that you can shoot first and ask questions later.

Lets say 5 guys corner you in a ally, would you wait until they physically did damage to you before you would fire on them or would you shoot when the first guy starts walking towards you saying he going to rape the crap out of you?

This is all stand you ground law...in Zimmerman case he was physically being attacked, and it doesn't matter if WE think it wasn't enough justification for fear. The fact that he was physically being beaten is enough to justify that he was in fear.

I'm a big guy, so it would take a lot to put me in "fear", but if someone threaten my kids my fear is much easier to happen. With this being said we can only look at what happened and by the letter of the law Zimmerman was in his rights. Maybe not morally right, but that is also moot.

the helment law was passed to protect younin's noggins, not their knees or elbows, shoulders.
back in the day when i and my children, rode skate boards, we to had all that you mentioned.
we also smacked our heads a few times to.

head injuries are one of the worst there can be. plenty of people have hit there heads and have died, without and i repeat without any signs of injury.

but nice try at a spin.

It might be a Juror question.

Since it now appears that following someone is a crime we should prepare for the flood of arrests of everyone but the lead few walking down a crowded sidewalk. Also if you are not the first person entering a stadium for a game or the first person in line at the store sale, prepare for arrest.

Those people are following someone...

Or do we need to add after sunset, or if your are of a different sex, ethnic group or age?

Yep ... .media asked to go to the court room ..... but it's right after an 'altercation' in the court yard outside the court house. So we don't know if the jury has a question or if it's about the altercation .....

IMHO .. if here is a verdict it won't get read tonight. Tensions are too high outside.
They'll read it Sunday morning when people are calmer and it's not as hot out.

Spin?? LOL You are on a Merry-go-round. Your boy's injuries were the equivalent of little mosquito bites that I would have given great attention to in the face of my children, but would have cracked a smile and laughed with my husband later.

The sheriff told the court reporter that there is no verdict yet .....
So this is something else than a verdict ...

I would say he was getting his head slammed one way or another....either by the reaction of his head being pummeled or having his head pushed into the concrete. You are quibbling over how much and that really doesn't matter since there is physical damage to his head and a witness said Martin was on top of him.

Once again when would have Martin stopped if he wasn't shot? We don't know, but I bet it would not have been a second after the time he was shot, if the shot never happened...

This is where you step away from reality .
Yes, GZ did have minor superficial wounds on the back of his head, but we are not arguing that.
We are refering to HEAD TRAUMA ie. concussion and the point of blacking out.
So , again your point is MOOT !!
