I started off thinking it was manslaughter.. now not at all... I've been watching the case since day one. taking in all the facts of the case. the amount of reasonable doubt is like a 800 lb Gorilla in the room. you'd have to be blind or ignorant to miss it.

That's totally where I am as well. I started out thinking negligent manslaughter. Now I'm at 'not guilty'.
The state had no case whatsoever. I'm wondering why this case was even brought to trial.
In their rush to appease the mob mentality, they skipped the grand jury. A grand jury probably
wouldn't have even let it get this far. They would have saved he state a lot of tax money on this.

Anyways ... the question is ... when the 'not guilty' verdict comes in, will there be
unrest and how widespread? It's the heat of summer and the inner cities don't need
much to push them over the edge ....

I don't think its as wide-spread as some people think. if the NG verdict comes back, I doubt anyone will riot.... and if the off chance they do. the riot police who have been training on protesters for years will put that practice to some good use.... for once.

The media has hyped this up .. if there is any unrest it will be their fault.

Its their fault there there is even a trial to begin with. any fall-out is their fault and their fault alone.

Grasping at straws is when you steal a dead teenager's screams to try and get out of a situation of your own making.

All I can say is, that any reasonably intelligent person would realize that there has not been any evidence presented with which to convict GZ beyond any reasonable doubt.

Making up possible scenarios does not, in an way, establish GZ's guilt beyond any doubt, in fact it actually just shows how weak the case against him truly is.

Therefore, please continue to format scenarios as you demonstrate how weak their case really is with virtually ZERO hard evidence of any kind......

Zimmerman sworn testimony .... he says he will not testify for the jury.
This is smart and expected.

ETA ... State has two witness for rebuttal. One for today and one for tomorrow.
The one for tomorrow will most likely not even be needed.

ETA ... closing tomorrow.

No testimony from George. That is the smart thing to do.

I can't say honestly who the screams were for certain, but I'm not favouring the guy with the gun who waits until he is on the brink of consciousness before drawing it. Why would a guy with a gun scream for help from anyone else? Did he want someone to come and hold Trayvon still while he shot him?

This is outright trolling.

Yep, the reason this case exists (unfortunately) is because the public perceives it as a "racial profiling" case. But, like it or not, racial profiling by a guy who is not even a police officer is certainly not a crime. It might be despicable, but it's not a crime. It obviously lead to some kind of unnecessary confrontation, with tragic consequences. But, as a "murder" case, it probably should not have existed.

PS: There are people that want to put Z. in the same category with the KKK. But, the reality is that he is probably just untactful over-zealous neighborhood-watch-ish guy - with some subconscious prejudices (unfortunately, we all have our own). He's not some KKK member chasing down somebody with the intent to do harm.

More dolls?

The rebuttal to the dismissal of charges is that a "what-if" scenario could have played out???

Really????

Rebuttal - Adam Polluck .... Gym owner and trainer.
The only one to be called today. Perhaps the only rebuttal witness at all. We'll know tomorrow.

Well it is still a free country and I refuse to be intimidated because a certain group of people feel they have the right to assault myself because I am walking in the same direction.

It is better for those people to learn not to assault strangers because they may be shot and killed in self defense. This may have to happen a few more times before those people understand the law.

Amen! If there is rioting, the rioters really shouldn't come close to my home, or there will be a pile in the yard. That is, unless a police officer is willing to come and protect me. Think that will happen?

too bad zimmerman is not taking the stand, with all his inconsistencies the prosecution would have eaten him alive. they would have caught him in lie after lie.

She's not supposed to want anything like that. She's a referee.

I agree. She really looked like she wanted him to. Some might say she was really making sure
that he didn't want to. But considering how sour she's been to the defense, I bet she hoped he'd
testify ....

If the judge lets in this rebuttal line of questioning ... that'll be major bias on her part.
It doesn't belong.
