The sheer impossible logistics behind Obama's parents traveling to Kenya preclude the possibility of him being born there. Not to mention all the other evidence supporting him being born in Hawaii. With him being born in Hawaii we can then look to cases like Lynch v. Clarke that clearly state anyone born in the US is a natural born citizen. The simple truth is that Obama is eligible to be President. There's no way around that fact.

There are two parts to the eligibility issue. One is Jus Solis:born in the country and Jus Sanguinis-citizen by blood (the parents)

Progresives in either party insist that only Jus Soli-born in the country matters. This is why the immigration issue is important because Progressives of both parties know that when you flood a country with people from many other nations, there may be foreign interests represented, and this is why the Founding Fathers were concerned with foreign influence, that is the Commander in Chief must have the United States, and the United States only as a frame of reference for their actions.

The problem is that we could not possibly take another country's citizenship laws into account when we consider who is or who is not a natural born citizen of the United States. If we did that, we could (theoretically) have zero citizens capable of ever holding the position of President, as any country could change their laws or make a new law that grants citizenship to their country for whatever reason they see fit. We cant control how they make their laws, and their citizenship laws cant play a factor in this part of ours.
