What!? Personalities is never on the top, maybe 2nd but Income is 1st! No women is going to marry a guy that is going to work at minimum wage.

Men on the other hand, look at attractiveness 1st , Income comes 2nd.or 3rd or 4th or it doesn't matter.

Thus...

Men use Cars, House, Money to impress women.

Women use Make up, curves and other body parts.


Obviously Personalities and intelligence plays a role.

Going on out a limb here but.....

If a man has to resort to basically buying a bride from a foreign country, he's obviously exhausted all means of finding a wife back home. Meaning, they are either really gross and disgusting, or simply just want a woman for sex, who they'd basically have total control over.

A mail order bride is not about love, once you "ship" them here, it's a done deal, where do you have a chance to fall in love?

Women will act like a woman period.

Some marry for money, some looks, others status, and few of all the above.

Being in the military, I've seen it all. If she's going to be unfaithful, she will be regardless of background or race.

But...a man who willingly marries a mail order lady will be in some deep poo poo if he mistreats her. For a woman to willingly place herself in that situation has got to be a brave and headstrong woman. They'll already know all the tricks to get out of an abusive or demeaning relationship.

In the USA, if you marry and bring over a alien (legally) they have more rights than the man during a divorce. The judge will usually grant the divorce, but the terms will be outrageous. If you have a home - she'll get to stay there free of charge while you stay elsewhere (you'll still have to pay the bills). Same goes for a vehicle. You'll also pay her alimony. You'll get your stuff back once she becomes a citizen.

In an abusive relationship (she can even just lie about it) you'll goto jail. The state will let her stay on your dime for as long as she wants (even without wanting to become a citizen). You'll likely stay in jail for awhile because she'll say you raped her.

The examples above are worst case scenarios.

I'm sure these men are PROUD of having a younger, hot wife (or at least hotter than they'd normally get). What is wrong with that? Rich guys do it all the time.

I guess you really need to address your questions to these mail order brides that have come over. Many escaped poverty, oppression, disease, crime, etc. by coming here, and may have even come to love their husbands for rescuing them from it. Who knows? If I were you, THAT would be where I'd start my research, if you really want to know, versus speculate how horrible these guys must be.

Personally, I married for love, but I don't begrudge anyone their happiness, for how they hook up.

Nope. The correlation between parents picking the spouse and divorce rate is false. It just has to do with the time period that was happening in. Divorce was something people just did not do. They'd stay in bad marriages they weren't happy in. Now-a-days there's much less stigma about divorce.

Oh Gosh I dont know where you are. But here I have at least 5 friends quite beautiful I might add who are with men who are on a minimum wage. I also know a few ladies who have fallen for men who are " charming" and point blank refused to work. They happen to be degree educated women between. And I myself do not look at income. Really, yes it would be nice if a guy has a great job. But realistically many women fall for men who do not and are just as happy.

So I feel sorry for you where you are... sounds as if the women have beome more " shallow".

Personally I have dated rich and dated poor and the only one I would have gone back to if I had the chance is the poor guy - honestly! He was just an amazing person thats why.

If these marriages involve two consenting adults then it is none of your business. If you want to know why people do it I am sure they all have their own reasons, but I am sure one of them is to avoid Western women with a chip on their shoulder like the OP. Just my theory.

I'm not sure, maybe my generation is getting to be shallow, but i'm not saying good women my age group are non existent.

Of course, a poor guy will try harder than a rich snob who would see that a women is entitled to him lol.

What is this not feminine stuff? Yes I have heard men say western women are less feminine but even in physique they tend to be much more voluptious. I wont say fat because not all women are fat.
And also the fact that they do more " chores" isnt a justification either in my view. I mean is it really possible to want to be with someone on the basis that they are just extremely tidy?

What defines feminity. Are some modern day men afraid of these " sex in the city " types?.. And if so why . Isnt the choice to divorce, remain single, play to the end of days, or just find a partner even without marriage a better thing?

Dunno I just feel id rather be with an intellectual equal than a tidy freak! Or someone who at least speaks the language that I do fluently so I can know much more about them.

You say its none of my business but Im commenting on what I have seen.

One lady married a guy and came into an abusive situation - he would berate her in public and she asked my family to help her.
Second lady, said to me she feels like she is in a prison.
And the third mail order bride I met said to me , every day she hurts so much because she wants to be with her family in her home country she prefered the life there - even though it was poorer. But she now has kids soo...

And another lady, poor woman, married this obese guy whos also a cheat , shes russian I dont know she may divorce later .

So situations Ive seen have been less than ideal! But then ... maybe you have seen couples who had better stories of which Im also sure are out there as some people are bound to be lucky.

Ile post you my Mrs for a nominal fee, but you need to supply the rather large shipping box! LoL

Yes. it costs the men I think up to 15 k to date their foreign ladies - just to get a date even with the ugliest
Then the mail order tour is up to 20 k... lol...... and trust me thats not for a model type, this is for the averagely attractive ones. Plus 650 per month until you find the right woman. This is the Russians.

But in Thailand or Filipines its most likely appeasing the parents with a dowry or a regular payment each month plus looking after all their living expenses once they are in the country. Perhaps they even have to write the women in their will forgoing their own children from previous marriages . Wouldnt suprise me.

I once saw this guy walking down the road with the ugliest mail order bride Ive ever seen he seemed so proud of himself, she was carrying tons of designer shopping bags that he probably got for her. He probably thought he got a " good deal". Cos shes not likely to leave him.

I just read through this thread with great interest.

I want to comment and say something helpful. But nothing is coming to mind.

I will say this for now.

I have always been fascinated with asian women. I find them spellbinding. It has always been so - as far back as I can remember. I have no rational explanation for this obsession.

We all enter marriage with expectations. That fail. It is not the spouse's fault. (Society conspires to mislead us about the virtues of marriage while hiding the negatives.)

If we can resolve these shocking surprises with our mate, we can have a solid relationship.

I have been single and I have been married and believe me, marriage is better.

No I dont see the appeal but it gets down to personal taste as you have said. I think a taller, full breasted woman with rounder eyes and larger hips is more feminine and attractive. I cannot see what is attractive about someone who is not like this.

I certainly dont see them as feminine..... more like little girls in physique. Not that thats a bad thing each to their own aye...

I can see the fuss of Russian women they appear to be more taller and graceful. With nice facial features.

But its such a cliche to say all russians are, or all asians are. I mean when you like an certain ethnicity do you just put aside being fussy and go for the first you can get because you are so desperate to be with that ethnicity?.....

My brother married one from Kyrgyzstan and brought her home a few years ago, I knew right off the bat that she was, A: A fraud and B: a bitch from hell.
Instead of trying to assimilate with his family, she immediately sought out other Russian speaking people and started hanging about with them.
She tried to make my brother learn Russian and convert to Islam, she didnt tell him she was a Muslim until a few months after coming here.
They divorced and now hes found another in the Phillipines

I think there may be laws under the invasive species act to cover this We don't need more women, we can hardly keep the ones we have here in America satisfied. I suppose they could be trained to be good consumers.

A man looking for a mail order bride has a great variety to choose from. No need to rush.

I do not buy the society image of feminine. Some appear "sexy" turn out not responsive. Other plain looking women can be surprisingly animated.

Well they do claim that their more " traditional" outlook on marriage which I myself do not view as traditional its more like a prison as some of them I think Filipinos as an example cannot actually divorce in their own country so its probably not even within their way of thinking.

Anyway they regard this as being feminine or for example that the woman HAS to cook and do the chores. Is expected to. Wont really mix with others, probably is quite homely and believes her duty is just to raise kids.
