What people fail to see is, the TRUE marketing (advertisements) are the program themselves, especially the 24 hour news stations.

How many times has CNN challenged democrats or republicans about what happened on 9-11-2001 and the legitimacy of the wars? Have they challenged the need for DHS, NDAA, TSA...anything at all???

That is ALL I need to know they are as fake as fake can be. I guess they are slightely better than fox news though. I will give them that much credit. If I want real news I listen to RT or aljazeera, and even better is infowars.

People just figuring out CNN is fake? I can't imagine how many more still believe that lamestream channel.

This is no big deal.
People are making a mountain of a mole hill.
CNN is exercising their job as entertainment. It did not change the news story, and it was not used to cover-up "hidden facts" about anything.
.....regardless if they were 30 feet apart, or in a studio elsewhere. No facts were altered because they had a similar background.
It is funny though. It is humorous and ironic broadcasting.

What IS a big deal, is that people will now use this example as "media lies", "caught in the act !!", and "we can't believe anything MSM says !!".
Claiming that this is now some huge proof of media lies, is like......"believing that house cleaning is fun", just because that actress in the TV commercial is smiling so much while she scrubs her oven. We all know it's not that fun. They're not REALLY fooling us...it's just more fun to watch....and they sell more product that way.

Either they were in studios, or they were across the parking lot. But there was no evil twisting of our minds..
Actually, "across the parking lot" is NOT that hard to believe....because they are reporting outside their own microwave vans, cameras already tripod-ed up and rolling, lighting and sound already in place, etc.
Much easier to flip a few buttons in the broadcast van, than it would have been to move all the necessary equipment just for a 25 second exchange of dialog.

The Atlantic Wire seems to have the best explanation of what happened...
www.theatlanticwire.com... /05/nancy-grace-ashleigh-banfield-cnn-parking-lot/64965/
www.theatlanticwire.com... phoenix/65026/

To be fair to Grace and Banfield, they are on two different networks (though they share the same parent company and probably wouldn't be talking to each other if they were true competitors), and cable TV news often features "remote" split-screen interviews with hosts and guests, even when they're in the same building. And Grace and Banfield are both in Phoenix to cover another sensational true-crime tale, the Jody Arias murder case.

There are a few options for why Grace didn't do so. At the time of the Arias verdict, Grace was also anchoring CNN's Headline News. It's unclear if she was at the time that Banfield was speaking with her, but it may have been too cumbersome to remove her microphone, etc., and simply head down the street. (Requests for comment from CNN were not returned.) It is also possible that Grace has a contractual stipulation that mandates she not appear on-screen with another CNN personality

If they're in cleveland reporting this kidnapping case why, then, does it say phoenix? i mean who's lying here, cnn or the conspiracy theorists? is this video doctored??? something isn't right here. i don't think the video is being presented with full context disclosed. nevermind the fact that there is no audio in the several second GIF, nevermind the fact that no one besides the person posting the video is claiming they pretend anything. How can I know what they claim? there's a three second clip and no audio...c'mon people use some critical thinking. has it occurred to any of you that some jerk is trying (and apparently succeeding at) to dupe you? the only part of this that i understand is the vitriol towards nancy grace. hell, i'd hoax a video too to make her look bad--not that that's hard.

One more thing, this: “Sorry, we’re experiencing a delay in the broadcast while we both wait for this bus to go by.”

They clearly imply that they're in the same place. They BOTH have to wait for the delay while "this bus goes by." There is no deception here, only delusion. This site.....
has it degraded in recent years. Embarrassing.

Ugh I cannot stand that hag either. I remember on one of her shows, she starts chewing out this lady who's son went mising, and NG 'knew' the woman killed the boy.

Sad to say, the mothr ended up committing suicide. Guess Ted Turner's not the only nut in that trail mix.

Funny thing that this "fake" piece of news has been debunked ages ago yet people still parade it around. Well I wasn't expecting anything more.

Have they debunked the scud?

Explain the fake audio placed sirens then and of course the scud. I am surprised that your defending CNN without further questioning it.

After the constant lies we are fed about foreign nations, guns, the UN and even what is healthy for us its pretty clear that the media is not to be trusted any more than those individuals who govern for the lobby groups and not the people whom they are expected to serve. It's a sad society we/they have created.

I used to trust CNN very much. But now, they are just like a joke in my eyes. I don't know how long people will be deceived If they don't read this article. They are treating their customers like idiots. This is one of the most ridiculous tricks on media I 've known. Shame on them.... From now on whatever they say I will believe in the opposite.

There is nothing in the slightest deceivement in that GIF, CNN doesn't even make an attempt to hide/deceive anything. There is also no rules not allowing Nancy Grace and the other reporter doing a "split screen" interview 30m apart, it might look more professional than a head-to-head chat or there might be another reason, for example the traffic noise which made it more feasible to have them talk via earbuds instead of "chit chat" over the (very obvious!) traffic noise. (You can CLEARLY see that the reporter has a hard time listening to her over the traffic going by and that trucks are going by only meters away, a situation where a "normal" interview would be IMPOSSIBLE

I just popped in to say I think Nancy Grace is a disgusting human being. I wish she was off the air so the people she normally attacks on her show could get fair trials. She's misandrous and a pathetic excuse for an officer of the law (well former). She was a disgraced lawyer and now she is doing the same shameful things on a t.v. shows. I hate when she goes into that soft phony sympathetic tone..

Okay I am done ranting.

Agreed! I can't stomach listening to that woman for more than a few minutes... I just start seething. She has got to go!

And on a side note - Dancing With the Stars...? Really?
I hate TV.

I've been thinking for years now that between CNN and Fox alone, we (anyone who pays for cable (or satellite, or fiber) television could easily (if we had even a semi- legitimate Justice system) win a multi-billion dollar class action suit which would pay us all back for our past cable bills for the past 20 years or so.

You think thats shocking? Seriously?

I remember Channel 9 here in Australia was once caught lying about a newschoppers location in a live shot of some location. All companies do this kind of stuff all the time.

You realize it says Phoenix in the top of both windows, right?

And you also realize they are both on blue screens?

I would actually assume the two camera's for the background are near each other, and not the two people. Otherwise; they would just sit in the studio together.

Little bit paranoid there, buddy.
