The science behind this thread is both correct and flawed, making it a bit of a mismatch.

Less ice does cause the planet to heat up but the oceans (rather than mantle) pick up this extra heat. And yes, retreating ice can cause pressure shifts that result in eruptions and earthquakes (although there is no consensus opinion on the scales involved).

However, what must be also be weighed against this is the constant state of vulcanism on the planet at any one time. For example, in Indonesia alone it is not that unusual to have 20 plus volcanoes on alert at any one time. Also, volcanoes work in a geological time scale. I know you probably realise this but when you say a volcano has reawakened after a 400 year period, well, that isn't really reawakening. In point of fact, it was always active during that period, just not erupting. Some volcanoes have cycles over thousands of years, some over tens of thousands of years, some over decades, etc etc. A 400 year gap to a volcano is like an afternoon nap to the likes of us...........

Volcanoes erupt from time to time to let off some of the pressure built up onside the earth.

Sometimes I suppose if pressure is increased due to a number of influences, several or dozens of volcanoes will go off at once around the world.

There is a volcano erupting somewhere on this planet 24/7, 365 days a year. More often there are a number of volcanoes going off at the same time on a regular basis.

Only 8 volcanoes going off out of some +50,000 eruption points worldwide spells the doom of the planet? lol

I'll believe all this rubbish when all of "or even just one of", Australias 45 eruption points go off in the next week, I'll hale the OP as the new Massiah...

It could result in a 'financial meltdown' ?

If multiple volcanoes were to blow world wide, that would affect the global financial area.

Aside from the financial doom, will anyone survive?

Actually, multiple volcanoes blowing would solve a lot of problems including global warming.

what are you talking about? the world ended on Dec 21st 2012. didn't you get the memo?

what is the chances of the volcano blowing in hawaii?

Considering that Kilauea has been erupting since about 1983, I'd say pretty high.

Mauna Loa (above Hilo) has been flexing off and on for about 10 years or so, but hasn't erupted in awhile. They thought it was going to about 9 or 10 years ago when the summit expanded several inches, but it settled back down (someone made a sacrifice to Pele apparently [kidding Pele!]). There's also a new island forming off the Big Island that's been erupting. The volcanoes on the other islands are all dormant, and have been for centuries. The only real opening into the Ring of Fire is under the Big Island.

We need peace in the world. The illuminatti control the financial system but God controls the weather and climate.

Thanks for that
MANILA, Philippines (AP) — A mountain guide says three foreign climbers and their Filipino guide were killed when one of the Philippines' most active volcanoes spewed rocks and ash after a 3-year calm.

Mayon is the most active volcano in the Philippines, and has erupted 48 times in the last 4 centuries. How does that relate to increased volcanic activity? That's like saying Kilauea has become more active, so volcanic activity is increasing (it's been going off for 30 years now).

You already counted this one. Just because it's a different day doesn't make it a different eruption. If you want to double count them to prove your point, that just means your original theory is flawed.

There isn't unusual volcanic activity right now, I would say its rather calm. There has been always volcanic activity, and its decreasing all the time.

8 volcanoes have gone off in 2 days, I call that very unusual

No, seven at most. You counted one of them twice to make it eight. And that's far from unusual.

there is a way to use tech. to pin cushion /acupuncture the pressure points with laser types/rays/waves that CALM EA*RTH. If permitted perhaps based on collective human and other intents... Got to remember the Planets Roof activities @ times effect the Interior, and so techs...

Number 7, 2 days ago

Bogana Volcane Papua New Guinea

Eruptions have intensified at the volcano. Over the past 2 days, several explosions produced ash plumes rising to about 7,000 ft (2.1 km) altitude and drifting 30-45 nautical miles to the W and NW (VAAC Darwin).

The name was slightly changed, but it's the exact same update, counted twice.

Again, there are always multiple volcanoes on alert at any one time. Indonesia regularly has over 20 on alert (imminent or ongoing eruption) and has in the past had over 30 on alert at one time. That is one country.

Then consider how many there are around the world.

If there were currently like 400 volcanoes on alert then the OP may have something. As it is though, it is just more ATS doom porn (that we all seem to gravitate to!
).
