As Chadwickus just said, AP is reporting that they are Russian, from Chechnya, where terrorist cells are associated mostly with Al-Quaida. That rules out Sunil T and Mike M as the suspects' names, if this turns out to be true. Local news there is running with the Russian angle right now.

5 People The Internet Was Obsessed With Who Aren't Boston Bombing Suspects

I just woke up so I'm not reading the thread, can barely type yet but adrenaline is kicking in. Here's what local news is covering.

MBTA (public transportation) service is shut down. Police are telling people if you're at a bus stop or train station on your way to work or school, go home. One MBTA police officer has been shot and is in critical condition.

Suspect one has been shot and killed in a confrontation with police (or FBI not sure). Suspect 2 (white hat) is on the run (possibly on a bicycle).

Bomb squad, FBI, police have Kenmore Square (Fenway Park area) on lockdown and are searching for explosive devices.

A 20 Block radius in Watertown (borders Boston) is shut down, bomb squad on scene there too.

Two people pulled from a cab in Kenmore Square detained (has happened a lot since the Bombing) police are searching through their bags.

Suspect 1 and was shot and killed at MIT last night. AP is saying they are from Russia or Russian descent. Suspect 2 has been named as Zokar Sarnav (sp?) and is on the run.

Could this be the end..?

Is it now time to stand-down?

Had a very scary thought just now,

What if there is a much larger threat and they are somehow using this story to cover the real story which would cause mass panic....

Dont think that is right guy. Usually when one is prepared to blow themselves up the other is too. Its a mindset.
Stupid thing to try and run away in a cab in a shut down city. You can make a bomb, means you have common sense right?
