Maybe it is the difference between planning, thinking and coordinating vs acting in the heat of the moment. But that is speculation on my side.

Exactly! And no shooting at civilians, only at the police. Distraction? Unrelated? Or perhaps the marathon bom wasn't made to kill lots (only killed 3 after all).

Apparently the suspect they caught did have an explosive device on chest, so they warned on police radio to take caution.

Suspect 1 had explosive on chest that exploded when he was taken into custody. They fear the 2nd guy has the same.

I think the problem is that they are chasing more than just one suspect.
We have no idea how many individuals could actually be involved with this.

What if this was all a "setup" ???

While the ongoing investigation at the Marathon bombing location has all responding officers and departments distracted.
No telling what could have been setup in this town just 4 miles away.

It almost seems like the "shooting" of this officer at MIT, could have served the purpose of starting this "chase" TO WATERTOWN...where they are now finding all of these explosives, devices AND it seems like they've taken a lot of fire since arriving in Watertown. Almost as if there were more people already there waiting, and if they take civilians out of there....well?

Not to mention the fact that these guys were throwing explosives out the window of a "getaway" car and were heavily armed immediately? Convenient to grab a "mercedes" fully stocked with everything you need to draw an entire police dept, DHD,FBI as well as military personnel and FBI to an area where there seems to be so much going on, too much for one suspect.

Did I hear something about a SP male in the bushes?

CNN is now showing the footage of the white dude, that has been released and saying this is happening right now. What a bunch of baffoons!

So, apparently they stripped the innocent bystander guy because the first suspect (now dead) had a bomb strapped to his chest.

THAT'S why he charged at the officers, which seemed crazy and suicidal when reported - because it was.

Also heard someone with an explosive on their chest blew themselves up

Does not seem like it if they let people go. All these hours of heavily armed dude escaping capture, lots of bombs and very few deaths. It seems strange, as strange as strange can be.
