I'm wondering if her sons maybe coached her to say that, to cast doubt and pit the American people against each other?

I don;'t know who is reporting that, but the clear photo of the suspect was taken from the 7-11 security camera, so I believe that source is incorrect.

If that is actually the mom in the interview she's not making any sense. First she says that they would never do that but then she says that the FBI was following him because they were afraid of him??? So the FBI was trying to act as a Big Brother and mentor him away from terrorism? Sounds legit. We all know that if he was actually suspected by the FBI that would have snatched him and renditioned him.

I've noticed that something really good about our posting updates here is that we can really verify if something was said because, chances are, more than 1 person hears it and posts it, so you can see it multiple times in the thread. If you see a piece of information posted more than once regarding something said over the scanner, chances are it is accurate
