More on topic, it almost seems like THIS is the drill everyone was worried about. They're just practicing arresting and rounding up and evacuating citizens in a major city.

But as said, i understand your situation. You're not used to violence as we (and people from other countries) are. And i live in one of the best places in Brazil. I actually envy you for "overreacting". That means you live in a society that is not as sick as the one i live in.

I don't think you have people exploding SEVERAL IED's and grenades, killing police officers and causing terror down there on this scale. This isn't amateurs with AK's, it's trained and methodical suspects with some serious firepower and the potential to be connected to a VERY huge operation. Nobody knows he scale of this yet..

I'm ashamed that people automatically assume that the uncle is lying or trying to cover for his nephews... He seemed ashamed, he seemed annoyed (reporters hanging outside his house), he's likely scared (knowing how so many are ready to execute anyone they believe had ties to it)... People just need to take a step back and understand it was these 2 brothers, we dont know if its anyone more, there's no evidence to prove there is...

It dont matter where they were born, the fct is that they went to school in the US so if they were radicalised over there then there is a bigger cell somewhere.
