That was from yesterday.

Anyway, I guess they'll have plenty of footage of them, although if they want peoples help you'd think they'd release nice clear images.

But then again maybe they want a bit of doubt in peoples minds so noone goes and shoots them, which they probably would if the images were super clear and people were sure they knew who they were.

Why on Earth would these people stay so close to the bomb while it went off?? Would be a quarter mile away.

Because the remotes for the little RC toy cars (battery and circuit board) don't have that great of range. I don't know exactly, but probably no more than 200 feet or so.

So iether we are not supposed to be viewing these photographs posted by the FBI, or, there are others that they dont want us to see...while asking that we help by studying these ones....mmmmmmm sounds really sensible that.

Even if it were possible to remotely suck all the data from all the cell phones in the area at the time, how much effort do you think it would take to sift through the 99.99% of material to see if you find anything worth looking closely at?

By getting these guys faces out to the public they are increasing the number of people that potentially recognise them, so this is the most likely and quickest way of identifying them. The other two guys that were erroneously identified yesterday were eliminated very quickly. One of them saw his picture on the front page and immediately contacted the authorities.

If these two guys are not connected to the bombing you can be sure they will come forward and eliminate themselves ASAP, then its on to the next most likely.

For sure they have more evidence than they are releasing, I find it hard to believe that an AQ sponsored team would consist of only two people. If this was AQ, I'd expect identical bombs, more than 2. Maybe they know there are more than two and they are keeping quiet about the others so as not to reveal their hand. Maybe these two have been specifically released to the press because they look like they are the ones that are more likely to panic than the others. Time will tell no doubt.

What we have here from what I can see, is two bombers, one packed his bomb with BBs and the other Just with nails. they timed their devices to go off at the same time but didn't synchronise their timers so one blew 12 seconds after the first. That's the kind of lack of attention to detail that you typically see with young criminally minded males, not trained cold blooded killers.

If these guys are not US citizens, then they passed through US customs in the recent past, so somewhere there is a photo and a passport in a database waiting to be found. If they are US citizens, then someone is going to drop a dime on them, if they haven't already.

Yes they could be ethnically middle eastern, or Asian, but they could equally be Mexican from what I can see, but that's racial stereotyping. Skin colour alone is not an indicator that can be relied on. That said, if I was asked to look through images of crowds and pick out the guys who planted a bomb as part of a terror attack, I'm more likely to suspect the darker skinned guy than the tall Swedish blonde guy. Though both could be equally capable of the attack. If I knew the bombing was the work of an extreme right wing NAZI group, I'm more likely to suspect the Arian looking dude than the Asian. You play the percentages. Find suspects, eliminate them and move on to the next one. That's how its done.

While it is a good thing, here is the thought that keeps crossing my mind.

If the suspects end up dead, there will always be questions as to the validity of such. And there will continue to be questions about who and why. One can hope that they are caught and brought before a court of law.

There are 3 possibilities that must be considered here.

1) The 2 suspects did indeed do the deed and are guilty, to which they will face the full aspect of the law, to include the possibility of the death penalty.

2) These 2 persons are innocent, and so far until they go to court are innocent. If they are innocent and end up killed then the real person(s) will have gotten away with it and we may never know the full truth as to why.

3) The different conspiracies are correct, and these 2 persons will simply disappear, with no one ever see these 2 ever again.

Only time will tell and the there can be no doubt at all, the evidence has to be clear cut or these 2 will seem to be patsies, and the rumors will ultimately keep going.

Just to clarify, this thread began yesterday with speculation about two people but has developed today into including the just released FBI "suspects". These are not the same people that were first being scrutinized here and elsewhere yesterday. These two guys in the FBI video released today are two totally different people.

Don't be a goof... I never made an IED either. Just trying to help people understand the evidence that has been presented.

I think I see both of them in the photo. The one with the backwards hat looks to be getting ready to round a corner. Suspect #1 is still coming up the street at a slower pace.

So nowadays the LEOs can run facial recognition software through EVERYTHING. Even Facebook. Is it then safe to say these fellas don't even have a Facebook account??

Couple the fact that they have NO IDEA who these two people are with the fact that they are asking for public help to find these two before they escape AND their obvious knowledge of building IEDs sophisticated enough that they are able to stand less than a block away and detonate them and I am firm in my opinion these are foreign fighters of some sort. All Qaeda or whatever. IMHO these two are Middle Eastern. They aren't showing up on FBI searches cuz they ain't from here. And the feds suspect as much, hence the pictures.

It's safe to say that terrorists that don't want to be caught, regardless of nationality, wouldn't have Facebook accounts.

You may be right about a Middle-Eastern connection, but that's a stab in the dark based off of white-cap guy's facial features. There are a lot of American citizens that look similar.
