Is this the second Boston bomb just moments before it exploded?

Wouldn't the post box have minor damage if a bomb went off next to it?

not necessarily as they are usually bolted down.
besides, the story goes on to indicate the suspected design resembles claymore mines and if you don't know what they are, google it. (they were popular during VietNam)

it's a good summary with new pics that i haven't seen before that were reportedly prepared/reviewed by the fbi, so in this instance, to dismiss this particular source would be a mistake.

i suppose you already knew one of the bombs was battery-operated, right ?
or that they have been deemed 'sophisticated' in their triggering mechanism ?
or maybe that the second location/delivery vessel may have been pointed out right here on ATS ??

Wasn't saying he was a terrorist, I just wondered why anyone would be standing on the roof watching a non-competitive marathon...

I found the answer elsewhere though, apparently that is a balcony where workers go on their lunch-breaks, so he was likely one of them.

Please note that on the day following the 'Twin Bombs' that the false flags of biological warfare are proudly waving once again - not in the form of an anthrax scare though. That would have been far too obvious. Now 'ricin,' which is a thousand times more toxic than anthrax. I guess after 11 years they had no choice but to up the ante.

i see what you're getting at but i'm to understand the "mother/daughter/son" 3-some were all standing together at about the same level as what you high-lighted, just hard left.

i cannot mark it but mom is facing forward with sunglasses on, daughter has headband and her back to camera and the son is next to mom's back (mom/daughter facing each other)

what is also notable are the 4 men, previously marked in other photos, very near where the mom and kids are standing.

perhaps you could highlight/enhance the region i mentioned so we could all take a closer look ?

Considering the debris pattern and where the damage is in relation, I'm going to guess that this is actually NOT the second bomb. I dont necessarily think that the mailbox would have been blown to pieces or anything, but if that was the bomb, I would expect to see at least some amount of damage to either that or the elevated slab that the box is bolted to.

If the bomb was the bag highlighted wouldn't the railing be pushed away from the post box?

i do not know enough about explosive dynamics to offer an opinion.
i tend to agree with your suggestion and what flyswatter said about the mailbox, however, i cannot see (blurred) damage that might be evident to the box or the concrete.

i've read more than one theory about placement (second site) and they do sound logical.
however, neither convince me that bag (highlighted) is the delivery system.

oh wait, i can say this and not be racist ... that bag can't be the one, it isn't black.

A suspicious letter containing a "suspicious substance" was addressed to the President and was intercepted at an off-site mail facility. An investigation is ongoing, but speculation centers on the fact that it may be connected to the recent ricin-laced letter sent to a US Senator...



Is this connected to the Boston bombings, or is it, just like the post-9/11 poison letters, not connected at all...?

CNN is saying a suspect has been ID'd as a dark skinned male, it came from a department store video....he was actually placing the package CNN reports.

I have not yet had a chance too really examine all the photos but this was the first "off" find of mine.
