Once again,i fully respect your opinion, but there are so many instances i have experienced myself,of dogs and cats CARING,and actively showing it.

Examples:I've had a lifelong battle with major depression, and there has been occasions when i would sit in my yard, weeping from the inner pain-and one or more of my dogs would come up to me,snuggle up against me,just about climb on top of me,lick my hands or face-as if insisting i notice-"Hey,i love you!

One night my son was sleeping in my bed,he was only about 2/3,and in his sleep he fell out of bed.The shock made him yell out+start crying, and as i was waking up+pulling him back up on the bed, this cat,Esmay, came practically FLYING into the room, jumped up on the bed,and as i was comforting my son,so was she-nuzzling him, looking CONCERNED-i swear on my own life, that cat was concerned. She then snuggled up under his armpit, till he fell asleep again-and only then did she leave.

I know wild animals like crocodiles and lions are not safe to turn your back on-but as for cats and dogs-they care a helluva lot more for their people, than many humans care for each other-this i have personally seen, again and again.

Our Fox Terrier Shanz is also a tad overweight-though she really actually eats very little.Maybe because in her old age, she's less active-she's 12 years old now-we've nicknamed her Fat Chance(from Shanz) but she's very healthy still.

"Friends come in all shapes and sizes... "

And at the end of a leash, no less.

It's not that I don't care about animals; it's that you all care too much. You enslave them as emotional toys and then scoff at me, because I see them as animals, and not some thing to cherish as only other humans should be cherished.

You have a serious problem. You are emotionally dead.

Religious fanaticism is unhealthy. Your Bible is hanging out all over the place.

When my children were very young they had a Westie called Snowy who followed me around like a wean even into the loo

well any hoo one night Bekki she was around 2 took sick through the night and of course not being in the same room i didn't no, Snowy started barking in Bekki's room to make me or her dad get out of bed and when i went in Bekki was choking on vomit and because she was burning up she just couldn't turn on her side properly. One little girl saved by the family slave lol and he also saved the house from burning down once, smart or what

Pets are just brill

I never thought of that one 123, my old neighbours (who were into bibles in a big way!) told my wee daughter that her pet rat didn't go to heaven and i went daft as she was only 6 or 7 she cried for a week because she thought when she dies she won't see any of her pets!

I stopped her from going to sunday school that day and told her that Jesus loves wee animals just as she does if not more.

I am a Christian well a stay at home one as i don't think you have to go to church to be one, i can pray nicely in my home and i can read, so if i fancy a bible story its at my hand and i don't have to pay any money in my own home to pray

I stopped liking the Church for the same reason. When my cat died Father Luke told me animals don't go to heaven. Ignored what the Church had to say after that.

I don't want to go anywhere that doesn't have animals. That isn't heaven.

I see I called it right. You're mired in dogma.

See, you can't escape. You're surrounded.

I don't separate things into separate subjects unless it's needed to discuss something, because there is, in truth, only one subject.

You hate me for viewing reality as one subject?

Hate you? I don't even know you. I hate your rotten attitude. If it were up to you this world would be a miserable place for man and animal.

Because I think animals shouldn't be enslaved just to be pets? The love of your slaves keep you sane? Is that it?

Here's an idea.. make friends with people.

No, my parents have dogs and cats just like the rest of you.

And if you want to psychoanalyze me, I think you might want to look to things that are rational, if you want to make a more accurate comparison.

People constantly disappoint. My pets have never, N E V E R, disappointed me.

I free the cats to roam every day. You know what? They always come back, and have done so for 55 years

Why? How do YOU explain that?

You have less expectations of them, and you fed them during their pack developmental stage.

And do not forget that they were bred to be tamed. They're domesticated.

I suppose what I am saying is I do realise you are 13 years or such and that as such you are quoting your parents views/ All I am saying is keep an open mind and do not take your parents views as gospel. As you enetr your late teens and twenties hopefully you will realise this.

You know nothing about cats. They are not considered domesticated by experts. Cats are still considered wild animals by animal behavioral professionals.

They are free to leave just as dogs who are let off the lease are. All return. Why?

Because they form a bond with us that is as strong as our bond with them.
