1) United States IS the World's number one superpower - Yes, I disagree.

2) The United States is having its way across the planet? - No, they are, and this is one of the reason why they are no longer a super power. America is stepping on a lot of toes, as of late, and their respect on the international scale is faltering. What kind of superpower will America be when they no longer have any friends.

3) China is encroaching upon the power and influence of this superpower? - Nope, I don't disagree but good for them. Atleast China produces stuff that people need/want. As a superpower does. Where as in America, the only thing they had that everyone wanted was their dollar which is no longer of any value.

The way I see it is all that remains of America`s power right now lies in their military. Which was bought and paid for by the good people of the world who bought into American bonds and helped that currency become so valued..who are now suffering the consequences of buying into this countries false wealth.

We're still the worlds largest national economy, in addition to the military aspect. In many ways, we're the only superpower (by the most common definitions), though China is certainly coming into it. Then again, we're all in bed together these days....if one of us falls, it still impacts the others... If the biggest falls....well, worldwide depression on an unimaginable scale.

North Korean "intelligence" knows that they would have to do something significant, other than threats, to cause a major U.S. reaction. This allows N.K. to uber-brainwash their people into thinking that the U.S. "backed down". I pray to God that North Korean leaders are smart enough to not go any further than the threats they have been showing.

Later, another U.S. official said it's been tucked back into its launcher.

NK is bluffing, if they were serious about attacking they already would have. They're trying to push things further and further until the UN agrees to remove the sanctions. Kim is probably facing some major internal pressure too, if he can't get the world to back down like his dad could a coup becomes very likely. The US response so far saying that it's willing to fight and not negotiate away the sanctions could actually be an attempt to destabilize the country and get someone responsible in charge like a joint China/SK/US reconstruction of the North. Everyones reactions so far appear to be in an attempt to make the country implode.

Any speculation as to why the Reuters feed stopped broadcasting the border and Japan?

As much as many dislike america and the UN, NK has not made any friends with their bellicose attitude of late and that is because that idiot son of a bitch feels he has something to prove to everyone, probably that he should be taken seriously. With such young age comes inexperience and bad decisions. The UN has lots of blame to be put on them as well as it has become a branch of the World Bank and Bilderbergers that extorts compliance of the new world order.

If he fires even one nuke which is probably low grade material and manages to hit a reasonable target that kills hundreds of thousands, NK will cease to be what it used to be. Most of the NK population will be wiped out either from conventional attacks or a counter-nuclear attack. It would be assinine of North Koreans to let a madman like Kim Jung Un take millions of civilians to his grave with him. He should be stopped from firing and forced to resign his position. I wonder why there has been no coup-de-tat yet from someone with more brains and less adrenaline.

Okay, so now we hear that the chubby NK leader actually has nuclear weapons that can be delivered by his missiles. Apparently, the government has known his since last month. The problem is the government also says they can’t reach the US mainland. So when and how do we get the news NK can hit the US mainland?
