Just noticed this.....Not sure I understand it.

I'm not suggesting Korea will invade the USA.....More likely that an escalating war in Korea might tip the US economy over the edge resulting in violence at home.

The US government has taken very public steps recently to bypass posse comitatus which can only mean one thing.....They expect to NEED to use US troops on the domestic front.

The best hope is that the Marines will side with the 'Good'Ole'Boys' and sort the government out once & for all.....But I wouldn't count on it 100%.

I find a correlation between people who hate America and those who are usually in the "I hate Israel" threads. Find them in one you find them in the other.

These people are deluded in thinking that North Korea, Iran and Palestine are the good guys.

I imagine the Russians & Chinese dread the Koreans doing just that.....A rain of US nuclear ballistic or cruise missiles on North Korea might trigger the unthinkable.

Reports about Pyongyang declaring war on South Korea resulted from a mistranslation with the original text saying only that the North was entering a "state of war" with its southern neighbor, and that it would act accordingly only in case of provocations, which could degenerate in a full-scale war and even a nuclear one.

Woah there buddy, not every American sits by silently. We ALL ask questions. Why this, why that. How come we have it so rough in the country we call home. Why isn't the whole planet united as one? Why must war after war occur? Why don't other places like us and assume things about us even though they don't know us as individuals?

BUT I know for a FACT, everyone I know would be damned if we let the jerks come over on our own turf and try to eliminate us. We won't lay back and take anything if we don't want it. Yes treaties are treaties but explain where exactly does the treaty explain that if North Korea takes on a country that an turn it into a sheet of glass in 20 minutes, does China need to get involved? Understandably if North Korea had anything beyond a snowballs chance in hell that perhaps China would get involved (to declare war upon a country one must have a plan where they could actually win).

In this case one submarine within 12 miles of North Koreas boarders could turn that nation into a really nice parking lot.

Any thoughts?

Yes....Many modern defense systems are automated. A missile launch might well provoke a response which in turn would provoke another and another ad armageddon.....Who has the most to lose here N.Korea or the US?

Of course, the more likely scenario will be that nothing happens. NK is blustering, they will pipe down.. their 30 yo kid for a leader will be hailed as the new leader that stood up to 'evil America.' Life will go on. The best thing about this thread?
