It seems like it's time to stoke the liberal v conservative fires again.

Should be an interesting reason to by popcorn to say the least.

The question is - Is this actually going to be a documentary or fiction disguised as fact?

I have no idea but if its get the same turn out Bowling for Columbine did, I dare say it'll be a non-issue. I'm not sure Mr. Moore knows understands the difference between fact or fiction. Anyway, if he goes by the truth, it'll be a boring movie. Hell, if I were going to make a controversy movie about a president, I'd look back another term. That way I'd get scandal, murder, sex all in one shot.

Maybe if he does a segment on the Skull and Bones rituals, that might be something interesting but just George and the Mrs. going to bed at 10pm everynight would be a snore.

But whatever he's cooked up, I'm sure if it's not spicy, his imagination will more than make up for it. No one says a movie has to be factual. Maybe the guy will choke on a burrito and we'll never have to deal with it to start with.

That should be interesting to see.

I'm going to order it in advance
And this one is not going to be about dubya so much as it will be about the Bush family and their shady dealings. The bush family has a long history of nefarious dealings going back to ol' Prescott and his Nazi connections.

It doesn't really matter. Mr. Moore has a vivid imagination and is willing to support his anger and seething rage with his "facts". All that has to stress him plus his overall fitness doesn't look that good either. If he doesn't start to enjoy life and let go of some of that, he's likely to be found face down in a domino's pizza in the near future. Could you imagine how hard his heart had to be pounding when he made the speech about Bush at the awards show? Maybe he should get with Jenny Craig or hire a full time med staff.

So, you are critcizing his weight because you can find nothing else to whine about. I guess if weight has something to so with it we shouldnt be listening to Newt Gingrich or Rush "Big Man" Limbaugh. I have nothing wrong with these guys weights just their ideas. Come on, if you have no other argument than size, please leave.

Why don't you take a look at the links in this thread xaos.

Maybe you'll begin to understand the deceit of Mr. Michael 'Angry' Moore.

I'm not surprised that a lot of people don't like Michael Moore, he takes on the status-quo which is never a popular thing to do. But I'm looking forwards to this film because it'll be entertaining, and on the right track, even if some of his research could have been improved upon.

As for Stupid White Men. Read it. There are some interesting things he has to say, that you should think about. Yes, don't trust everything you read, but most things are not far off. Having read some of the articles posted on the thread linked above by DClark, I'd say that it's nitpicking. So he says a few things wrong like "We're number one in budget deficit (as a percentage of GDP).", while there's actually a surplus. But the US is actually number one in national debt (as a percentage of GDP), an easy mistake to make for someone who's not an economist. The point he's making stands.

I'd just read it if I were you. Certainly, the chapter on the elections in Stupid White Men is well worth a read. The facts cannot be ignored, Florida did indeed kick a bunch of people off the election system, and they matched not only names against the database, but also race. So of the false positives that were removed from the system, there were proportionally more black voters than white, black voters who were much more likely to vote for the democrats.

It's worth a read, and it's more trustworthy than Powell's presentations to the UN, although probably less trustworthy than research posted in Nature or Science.

Also loved the BIG ONE! Two movies that faught Corporate America.I think alot of people missed the point of Columbine.Moore is a lifetime member of the NRA,but feels there are those in the group who give honest gun owners a bad name.Heston being one of them(C'mon, from my dead cold hands? That line is just pathetic)Moore was right attacking Heston for his lack of compassion to those who had lost loved ones & attending a gun show(not once, but twice)only a short time after the event.

Its his stand on Bush that has so many angry.ANyone who's read Stupid White Men(A GREAT BOOK!)or heard any of his rants will tell you he hates Clinton just as much as Bush(Remember,he's a Nader lover)But,because he's attacking Bush the general public asumes he's a liberal(He's not & if you look at his writtings & hear his views, you'll see he is NOT a liberal)

I think the film will be great!Mel Gibson is also a producer of the film(a staunch Republican)Fact is,there is a connection between the Bush's & the Bin Laden's.Lets also not forget,Osama is the black sheep of the family.Another myth is,if you have the last name Bin Laden, you MUST be a terrorist. Most(if not all but Osama) of Bin Laden's family are honest people who have no connections to Al-Quadea.My question is,why is Bush lying & denying he has business connections with them? Some even live in the US?I doubt even the Bush critics who go off on his business dealings with them(okay, some might)But it goes a lot deeper & this is the focus I believe.Another question is, what exactly did Bush know?Is he playing a Reagan stunt & claiming he can't remember to save his own ass or was he really in the darK?

I think the public has a passion about this.If Bush was smart,he'd take some heat off this subject & continue an investigation into 9/11 rather than stonewall it & refuse to release information.Makes him look guilty,IMO.

I predict this will be a huge hit(Bowling for Columbine has played my local theater for 4 months now.I hear every weekend the theater is packed)They held up the release of the dvd because it was still holding strong in the theaters(this all was due to Moore's bashing of Bush at the Oscars)+ The day after the Oscars my local Borders claimed they sold 27 copies in one day of Stupid White MEn(The book is STILL on the NYTimes best sellers list)+ they have delayed the soft cover relese due to the books success.

So, I doubt Moore's film will be a flop.I'm sure he will be laughing all the way to the bank.I for one CAN NOT WAIT to see it.Lets just hope Moore doesn't suddenly disappear or commit suicide.

No, I'm not really criticizing his weight. I'm refering to his seething rage coupled with his obvious obesity is a health hazard. Weight is merely mass and isn't always an indicator of the physical condition so no his weight is not the issue. My point was, and I guess I should have come right out and said it in as much as some don't take inferences too well is that this man obviously has some sort of mental stress which might be excasserbated, to quote one of Fritz Hollings favorite phrases(although I doubt he knows what it means) by his physical condition.. In lamens terms, he should chill out before his ticker quits ticking.

And "thank you" so much for using the magic word "please" before telling me that because you don't welcome my opinion, no one else should here it either. What a wonderful world we would have if everyone that you didn't want to be heard was silenced. Sounds like another person's forte' that was in the news recently, doesn't it? Oh and by all means, have a really nice day.

The second time you've said the facts cannot be ignored, referring to Moore's book. Facts cannot be ignored, but how they are twisted and some are even made up can be.

That's it. You're going to cause me to look for that stupid book. Is it in the attic? And since you've started this mess, you're coming over to help me put the attic back together.
Beer's on me, though, dom.

I would agree but why only question polls ran by democrats? Seems as if the Republicans were cheating, we should have concetrated more on polls controlled by that party. Just a thought? BTW, no one can just go out and vote..we have to be registered 28 days in advance and its our responsibilty to do that. You can't roll a bus up in front of a housing project, load it up and expect everyone on board registered or not to get to vote...plus, you have to vote in the precinct designated to allow the traffic to be divided geographically....and to make sure people only get one vote. (What the dems call disinfranchisement)...and the stylus will only cleanly punch one ballot at a time...loading three or more causes hanging chads according to the manufacturer.

First, he has seething rage???? At what? Society? Government? Buisness? If you look at these things, you should have a seething rage. Any of them.

Society is inundated by mindless crap that any intelligent person would reject. I think however that if this is what the people want, then they can have it no matter how mindless. I'm not going to tell them what to watch.

Government? Well, they just voted on stopping the ban of tactical nukes. How mindless can you be? Well here is an example: dubyaspeak! I hate to bring up the much overstated fact that our president can't speak publicly but this site has audio of his idiocies. He thought that Wales was a state! In the US! Come on. The man waved at Stevie Wonder. Our government is so corrupt. Has anyone heard of that multimillion dollar bribe that Halliburton (Cheney's company) gave to Nigeria for oil fields. Enron had a major role in the government before its screw-up. There is a lot more if you want me to go into it but I dont want to waste our excess bandwidth on something that has been stated and re-stated here.

Buisness is bed-fellows with the Government, both Democrat and Republican. The campaigners get exorbitantly large amounts from companies through campaign funding loopholes. In exchange the CEOs get tax-cuts so that they can help "stimulate" the economy. Geez, there are few bigger con jobs than trickle down economies.

If you dont go into a "seething rage" at these things, then there is something wrong with your moral compass, so think about what he feels. And what about Limbaugh, he is at least as corpulent as Moore, and at least Moore pretends to help people, Limbaugh just critcizes.

And it is hard to take "inferences" when half of your post is about Moores weight and how he will die with his face in a dominos pizza. The only "inference" I could take from that is that you had no argument against his ideas.

And it would be a great world if everyone believed in my ideas, but it would be boring as heck. Its a lot funner when I can debate with someone who has a valid argument.

And while you cannot go into the ghetto and start recruiting voters, you cannot deny someone the right to vote because they are related to a felon, or have the same name.

And TC, I'll help you with your attic, if you got beer. Hell, I'll bring you my copy.

Uh yes but how about same mug shot, same finger prints, same rap sheet, same lack of voter registration?...or same lack of any ID whatsoever?

"Government? Well, they just voted on stopping the ban of tactical nukes. How mindless can you be?"

Well, its not really called a ban when every enemy country is not abiding by it secretly. So, we honor these treaties and bans but are not allowed to say anything when another country other than us doesn't? Go bitch at North Korea. They are really keeping their end up aren't they? At least when we decide we aren't going to abide by something we come out and say screw it.

Have you ever heard the term, being a good rloe model? If we start using tactical nukes, who knows who else will because we are. And it will just lead the way to bigger nukes. And you brought up a good point on north korea. If they are so dangerous, why didnt we invade them?
