So, is Jon actually legitimate like readers have speculated?

Is that why the kingsguard at the tower fought to death with Ned? Because, they were protecting who they assumed was their king at the time?

Guess there was some foreshadowing tonite.

Good on Arya for calling out Sansa.

The annulment and secret marriage. Plus the dragon getting friendly with Jon.

Safe bet to say Jon is legitimate.

I Wonder how long before friar tuck puts two and two together or Bran tells Jon.

Not sure is Arya is playing Little Finger or vice versa.

Poor Dickon.

Yes poor Dickon. I would have preferred it to be Dickoff.

Killing Tarly and Dickon is going to be some very bad PR/mojo for Dany. She has killed the family of the man who saved the life of her good friend Jarah, as well as the family of Jon's best friend. Not good.

I believe Tarly had previously disowned Samwell, but in view of the fact all the males of Tarly House are now deceased, will this make Samwell Lord Tarly? His mother is going to want him to come home, I bet.

(Of course, not to disregard the abusive way Tarly treated Sam and Gilly. Sam might be glad he's dead).

Sam gave up his rights to his house when he took the black, he would have to break his sworn oath and risk the death penalty for claiming his title. Remember, he was the one who talked Jon out of heading to Winterfell to off Ramsay before he got his constitution ruined by the people who stabbed him.

I agree about the bad PR..

As far as chubs becoming Lord Tarly I don't know..I mean anything is possible..But I doubt it, he has taken the black, renouncing all claims..But then so did Jon.. I think it's more likely he is headed to the wall by way of winterfell and he will be to late as Jon will already be north of the wall..

Just my 2 gold dragons...

And Grand Maester Augustus beat me to it...lol

Sam also told the other brothers to catch Jon the first time he tried to leave the wall to go fight with Robb.

Yup, that's twice Sam helped Jon stick to his vows. Only way Jon got out was by being dead.

And I do like how Dany almost got that out of him, cue Jorah for distracting entrance.

*********SPOILER WARNING **********

Yup .Cercei's pregnancy has sealed the deal. Especially since she has decided to claim Jamie as the father..

Bronn is a shrewd man, and Jamie owes him a lot, the private training ,the trip to dorne, saving his life from the dragon flame. I think bronn will be fine,he may just switch back to tyrion.

Great episode.. I'm looking forward to the replay tonight.

On a side note I got halfway through book two and stopped reading. I wanted to concentrate on this season and with only a few episodes left I'm now saving the books to ease the show withdrawals I am certain to experience..

Soft covers run about 9 dollars a book. If you love the show and haven't read them, at about 800 pages per book , they are well worth it for an off-season fix.

That does suck.

Only two episodes left for this season.

en.wikipedia.org...(season_7)

Hope wiki is wrong.

I want 10.

Still too much unsaid.

This is different Danny. She is no longer a liberator but a tyrant.. in essos it was all" you are free to do as you want follow me or go on with your life". Now it's all bend the knee or die..

I think she's basically the same as she's always been. Just consider how often her advisors have had to reign her in over the last few seasons from using more brutal, violent methods against her enemies. Its just that now, her advisors are having a harder time controlling that tendency.

I don't know if it was just a coincidence or if the producers planned it, but having Dany brutally execute a father and son could perhaps be compared to her father brutally executing Rickard and Brandon Stark.

I think the allegory was very intentional.

Have they given a reason why the Hound wants to go look for whitewalkers, or did I miss that ?

I have a meeting. Back later.

I think we will see a white walker dragon by the end of this season also.
