I somehow missed the poison blade part.. I will have to check that scene out again.

'Poised'.

As in it was a draw, Arya had the catspaw in Brienne's torso and Brienne had her sword aimed at Arya.

I do love how you could literally see Briannes facial expression shift from amusement to respect during that scene. Truly epic episode.. fantastic.

I watched that whole seen over my neighbor's shoulder. Bad airplane etiquette but IDGAF.

Brienne and Ayra both dueling with Valerian Steele.

But most importantly how can we forget about DICKON!

Funny how the eyes see but the processor fails at times...I swear I read poisoned..

And as far as airplane etiquette, I woulda thrown that out the window too. It's not like you asked to share an earbud....

Zazz,
I belly laughed at the Dickon scene..when Lord tarly introduced him to Jamie you could see Jamie give pause..his court etiquette training was evident...

But God love Bronn he really has no effs to give..

Best all around episode yet imo.. even better than the godfather homage cercei episode when she blew the Sept.

Respectfully,
~meathead

I just took it.

Thinking back..she was doing the water dance that syrio taught her.. yet when asked who taught her she replied "no one"

Is that confirmation that syrio is jaqen hagaar??

Or am I really reaching there?

I think the 'no one' was in reference to the move where she blocked Brienne's arm and used the dagger.

Either way it's worth watching several more times...

She was totally mimicking Syrio in their Breakdance off.

Syrio was the same dude that trained her, just with a different face. The Faceless God (i don't know his name).

Syrio kept referring to her as "boy", an early attempt at dissociation. She seemed ripe for his picking.

Later he returns as the man in the crowd that swept her up and off to safety when Ned Stark is beheaded.

He was with her all along the way, ushering her through to safety and teaching her the skills to survive. He is No One, and the person who taught her.

This is a strong fan theory backed up by what the actor who plays Syrio revealed on a post show program in the U.K. saying his character had a strong relationship to the House of Black and White.

That character is actually someone. Yoren is the recruiter for Castle Black and a member of the knights watch.

Conversely, his face could have been used based on the fact that he could have been anywhere so it's not a solid fact.

I hear he's giving lessons in how not to flee in terror from angry creatures with wings.

I think he may turn up again to confront Arya in some manner in regards the Many Faced-God.

Poor guy, I hope he survived the battle. I remember him as Billy Bones from Black Sails, really good show.

I know everyone is all "DRAGONS!!!!!" and so am I but.....

Arya just took over the series.

That fight with Brienne was just short of legendary. She's, what, 14 on the show? And she just held her own against, imo, one of the best pure fighters in Westeros. I hope she sticks Catspaw right between Littlefingers eyes. That dude gives me the creeps

That look from Sansa was one of fear, respect and awe, all wrapped in one imo. She realized at that moment that when Arya said most people on the list were dead, that Arya was the one who killed them. That is going to be an interesting storyline going forward in the series.

I think it is pretty awesome that there are 3 Lannister children facing three Stark children in the war for Westeros. Even if one of the Starks isn't a Stark and one of the Lannisters is playing for the other team.

That look on Tyrions face when the Dothraki were wiping up after the little BBQ. "Your people can't fight"

So when do the Dead show up?

I was surprised that they showed a vulnerability in the dragons already. There will be a lot more Scorpions at the next battle.

Either way, that episode was epic. If you weren't run through dozens of emotions during that hour, you aren't a fan of the show.

Just got done watching the latest episode with my wife.

We're big DnD players, so when the dragon first swooped down and burned all those solders I looked at her and said:

"They didn't make their saving throw......."

Mwahahahahahahaha!

I watched it again last night and stylistically it struck me as very similar to the anecdotes and photos from the first Gulf War's Highway of Death.

Does this
mean everybody on this thread knows who kills Cersei? *gasps*

****SPOLIERS****

In the book she is told by Maggie the Frog that the valonqar (Valyrian for 'little brother') would kill her.

Now this could be Tyrion or it could also be Jamie since she was born first. Or maybe it's Arya dressed as one of them.

Oh yes! The witch, or oracle, whichever! I'd forgotten about that. That was a great scene.
