I dunno. All the ingredients seem to be there, it's just not grabbing me like it has in the past. Could be the fact that I'm home after being gone a year and am too restless and focused upon other issues. In fact that probably is it. It just seems like GoT would make me more content than TWD is doing right now.

While we wait a freaking eternity for the next season, let's argue about something...

I drive my husband nuts with this observation: Cercei Lannister is a better mother than Caitlyn Stark. Discuss.

Khaleesi is a better mother than both put together.

Plus: Way hotter.

This is the same time it premiered the last two years. It typically takes a year to do the 10 episodes.

Be thankful we aren't getting jerked around like The Sopranos were it disappeared for a year and a half.

Well if we are to argue, why do you make your assertions? What is your definition of a good mother? Cercei is certainly a fierce mother.

Exactly - she looks out for her kids. Whereas Caitlyn left one crippled and unconscious. Then she left her daughters at King's Landing. And we haven't even begun to discuss Rickon. The Wildling is a better mother...or even his direwolf.

Are you forgetting that Caitlyn, may she rest in peace, ;-) left her children to go and be with one of them. Both women ambitious to a fault.

The one who needed her least and who she was most proud of...

Cersei's problem was her lack of spine when it came to her children. Joffrey was enough of a tool that I would like to beat the snot out of him.

WHich is a credit to the young mans acting.

Harsh, but true. lol You made me think. I really am not a fan of Cercei, however I cannot argue that she is not a good mother. Her own mother must have been a good one, as her brothers show compassion lacking in dear old dad.

Maybe she loved them too much? But did Caitlyn love her's enough? Or did she love just the one?

Haven't you heard the expression "Love is Blind"? Also it is not like she had good male role models now is it?

Stark loved all her kids, but hated Jon Snow

Agreed. She's wholly unlikelable accept that one quality. And great observation about Tyrion and Jaime.

Not wanting to give spoilers, Cersei was willing to do anything, even degrade herself, to ensure her kids were safe. And she showed compassion for Sansa's situation and was apalled by what Joffrey did to Ned. Even by what Jaime did to Bran.

Caitlyn was too prideful and, as far as she knows, all of her children are lost except Sansa, who she left in the (Lannister) lion's den.

Well actions speak louder than words and she abandoned all but the one to support his bid as King of the North. The most she did was send a sworn enemy, Jaime Lannister to find two of them.

that is why they call it "game of thrones".
The 7 kingdoms all want to have what the Lannister's have.

I'd rather Hodor raise my kids than either of those gals.
