No doubt we'll win the war. There is eaponry on Earth capable of downing U.F.Os. The Israeli Arrow missile travels quite a bit faster than the average U.F.O's spedd which is 5,000 miles an hour. Not to mention our modifiable nuclear warheads. Aliens know they would lose and that may be a prime reason for their discrete behaviour. In 1947 their was an Independence Day like invasion in which a massive U.F.O. flew over L.A., Santa Monica and the MGM Studios. The military launched as much shells as they could at the massive object but couldn't down it. Two people died from spent rounds that where fired at the object. It didn't retreat but simply stood in mid-air overlooking the city. Then it drifted at less than 5 miles an hour over L.A. Yet, this was when the bullet was still being improved and missiles where in a primitive state. In conventional warfare they would face hard enough opposition from E.C.Ms., modern anti-aircraft missiles and tactical cruise missiles in which they are no match for. They fly faster than our fighters and some of them have forcefields but they are not better pilots than many of our human pilots. In Japan, when the Foo-fighters were confronted by the Japanese fighters, many of the Foo Fighters were indeed struck first, but they were imperviable to the Japanese ammunition. In Vietnam there where "mystery helicopters" that where fired at by the Cong and U.S. Both sides reported at first that they were the enemy's helicopters. But each side denied having a chopper in the vicinity. Then they were dubbed "mystery helicopters" They were hit hard from ship guns and hand held weapons but held a forcefield to protect them. Other than the forcefield humans are much better strategy planners than extraterrestrials. Their was an incident in Russia in which two MiG Fulcrums quite easily downed a cigar shaped U.F.O. Their only defense is the force field. We are in safe hands despite that because our nuclear tactical that increase to a temperature near the intensity of the surface of the sun would incinerate any E.T. bug that overstep their boundaries.

Bribe them?

If hostile aliens came they would obviously be technolgically advanced and intelligent. So chances are they woulkd be coming for our resources and not just to blow us up because that would be pointless for everyone. We could just threaten to nuke, bomb or destroy the planet anyway we could making it unhaibitable and useless. If we are going to die anyway we would have nothing to lose.

Just a thought.

Some of you might want to check out the book The Day after Roswell, by Col. Philip Corso. He claims that most new weapons like Star Wars, which is earth based and aircraft carrying particle weapons, and the missle defense initiative are soley for the purpose of defending against an alien attack. This is toward the end of the book, after he tells how they back engineered items recovered from the Rosswell crash in 1947.

So, I don't think we are completely defenseless, but don't know if it would be enough.

But if I were an alien wanting to takeover this planet, I would have done it allready, before we become even more advanced. So I think the chances of an alien attack are probably slim to none.

I doubt the Aliens could take us all out in a matter of seconds. Since the human population is 6 billion and their is probally enough guns to go around for every one to fight with.


And Besides how many Aliens would be coming?

We could be like the Native Americans to them.

Space Travel Capabilities
Native Americans could travel into the ocean and fish as Europeons could cross the oceans.

Weapons
Native Americans were using Bow&Arrows, Darts, Hatchets, etc. while we had Muskets and Cannons.

Many more analogies and comparisons can be made here.

"Cold War" Analogy: Weapons are pretty much same caliber and at a stalemate.

Motivation for being hostile is an intriguing factor.

A few things to consider:

Food? We could be their abundant crop ready to be picked.

Particular Elements? Look at distribution of elements within our solar system. Attempt to reason why they would go to an "occupied" planet when there are other planets ripe without resistance.

Particular Compounds? This one is more likely than particular elements due to higher rarity.

For some reason I have a hard time imagining aliens being hostile. Seems they would be more holistic and in tune with their surroundings. Hopefully they don't have a radical view that they must eliminate every other competing life form in the universe to ascend to the next universe.

"The government" would invite them in to cut a deal, as is typical, then lie to us about it, then be infiltrated by them, then probably nearly taken over. Our government is so corrupt and easily hijacked by a more advanced power of the sort that it wouldn't even recognize that it was losing "the battle" in the first place. See Dr. B's report, especially Dr. Steven Greer's note therein, in Disclosure (Greer quotes a top Space Applications International Corp exec.--Star Wars and more, who says "the government" has an 8000 man army whose sole, full-time job is importation of narcotics to fund the black budget monster (that keeps alien matters secret, ironically) and that 2000 of such men have been murdered, sometimes for slight security infractions. Adding that quantity to the rest of murdered witnesses and you probably outnumber the 4200 killed during the American Revolution. In short, our government has murdered more witnesses to alien-related crimes against humanity than Americans killed in the Revolution. See what I mean? "Our" government?

yea I tend to think we're more prepared than you might think. Trust me.

Why not? They have beaten everything else our eyes have seen. Of course the whole mankind would be involved but it would be interesting.

Or.......We can just play that terrible KISS Song "I Was Made For Loving you" and hope it will scare them off.

excellent link, fantastic story too, thats well documented. I only wish video had been invented or somebody had filmed it all. Im still not sure on Roswell but I do beleive there here! I bet that incident was really embarressing for the brass!

I been knowing about that story for years. Sometimes I try to spread it to people that's willing to learn about it. After that event took place, the military had every order of newspaper with that event taken from the libraries throughout the nation. The British military almost had a confrontation with E.Ts as well. The military was said to be looking for the Beast of Exmoor, but It was far bigger than that. It was an increasing Extraterrestrial threat.

Hmm.. I believe why our nukes did is disable when we saw UFO because they emit EMP and they have a electromagnetic shield that shield them from projectiles. So, to hit them.. the missiles must explode beside them without touching the shield. This would affect the crafts but I know they are build of a very strong element. So maybe need another few more missiles to hit them out of the sky. (This is their defense, they probably have weapons that could destroy anything we throw at them except.. I don't know.. maybe a French fries.. maybe they like french fries??

They could take us out pretty fast. But why would they? Destroying the entire plan that the greys are said to have will mean a war between the left over greys and hostile aliens. Plus if the aliens don't have nukes(i bet they do) we can just say while they harvest resources we'll nuke 'em. It'll be a close battle(not like war of the worlds).

What if they are like the ones from signs and they die when hit by water. All i'd need is a water bottle as a weapon of mass destruction.

Governments plan: hide 5 miles underground in a secure facility waiting for the rest of us to be killed and the aliens to take over and take away all natural resources, then the government contacts the friendly aliens, and they interbreed making a perfect race and starting anew somewhere else lol

Technology is a funny thing, it does not advance lockstep like in a video game. Who knows, maybe they would be no more advanced than us, but just have lifespans so long they didn't mind a nice slow trip to the next star system. Maybe they have mastered faster than light travel, but came from a system with no heavy fissile metals so they don't know about nuclear technology. Maybe its all cultural. Plus, even if they are vastly more advanced and hostile, providing they didn't just wipe us all out, I think we'd give them hell for a very long time. Human beings are intelligent, merciless, resourceful and have very long memories. 6 billion insurgents with nothing to lose...

seriously? beings capable of interstellar flight blown away by earth's icbm nukes? where do people get these ideas?

if hostile aliens came to our planet the first things the goverments of the world would do probably goes in this order:

1. shoot missles at them.
2.when that fails, shoot missles with nukes at them.
3. when that fails, surrender.
4. comply with all alien demands.

to believe that we'd stand a chance against an alien civilization capable of getting here is a common hollywood fantasy that has 0% basis in reality.
