Lol. You do find the most interesting stuff around. It looks like a lizard alright.
But how could it be living unless it was on the earth.

What I get a chuckle out of is all the people here that give these threads mass flags and stars. It seems to be a trend here on ATS with Arken. He obviously has a lot of friends here that are giving him props, whether they are rocks or not, It apparently is important here... So hats off to him

Has anyone ever seen the movie Planet 51? Its all I can think about when I see these pictures. The "The Rock" gets there and asks the rover why he only sent back pictures of rocks when there was a planet wide civilization to take pictures of.

I really enjoy your posts Arken and once again you've produced something really...well pretty amazing!

That certainly does look like a LIZARD!

I'm not saying I think it is a lizard, but WOW it sure does look like a lizard!

Great find, keep up the good work, we all really appreciate it, even those who might give you a hard time appreciate your enthusiasm...it's contagious!

ListenUpNow, I am pleased to announce that you are the winner of the Most Blatantly Obvious Shill Award of 2013. Would you prefer to pick up your medal in person, or have it mailed to your home?

I wonder what the Nasa Announcement will be? Here's some more strange sights for the collection.

ListenUpNow you have tossed out all normal forum decorum and basically hijacked Arken's thread with ridiculous nonsense and BS.

This is not the way ATS works, if your looking for a playground perhaps you might like to go elsewhere.

On many trips to the bathroom and sitting on the porcelin throne, I tend to look at the multifaceted tile beneath me. I can spend an hour just sitting there and making out faces, scenes of debauchery, scenes of war, futuristic buildings, and even dinosaurs sometimes.

But you sir, are a master of pareidolia. If the moderators didn't know any better, they would have banished you like Bernard Schnitzel.

Lizards on Mars?!! WTF!?

Looking at this in 3D, it looks NOTHING like a lizard. It's actually a multitude of rocks (at least 4). The head is a rock beyond the "body". You can clearly tell.

Break out your 3D anaglyph glasses.

www.edtruthan.com...

Or believe what you want.

Once again, I suggest if you're going to look for something, scrutiny should be part of the process, and that should include viewing in 3D to rule out things, because the Martian terrain is way more bumpy than it looks in 2D and there are many optical illusions.

That 3D anaglyph and 3D glasses ($3 USD) should do it.

Don't listen to the detractors Arken...if there's something there, I sure hope you're the guy that finds it! Your perseverance is laudable!

If you ignore the breaks and weirdness with the shape, then ok.. sure, it's a lizard.

But if you actually look closely... CLOSELY.. at every millimeter of the thing, you can find plenty of anomalies. The "head" of your lizard is actually a rock further on. The "tail" is actually two rocks as well, you can clearly see the break. Just coloring over it green doesn't make it a lizard.

Don't you find it odd that every single lizard, creature, gopher, bug or whatever else you are seeing, is exactly the same color as the rocks around them? Could it be because they are possibly.. rocks? You do realize something as advanced as a lizard would need an entire ecosystem around it to support it right? What does it eat? What does the thing it eats, eat?

I think perhaps there was life on Mars in the past. Probably just bacterial, or something along those lines, at most. But that's it. People keep posting pictures of rocks, coloring them in, and insisting they are proof of life on Mars. Life that laughably mirrors life on our own planet. Because we are vain like that. When in reality, life on Mars or anywhere else.. would probably be quite different, to help survive heat, gravity, radiation, lack or abundance of food, atmosphere, etc. et al.

first of all the 'head' is actually part of the rocks laying on the ground further back.

as with the end of the 'tail', except further forward in the shot.

This leaves us with a somewhat cylindrical but lumpy center piece... possibly appearing that way due to perspective or due to being some weird volcanic/cooling liquid etc geology... perhaps even mud/clay that dried at some point.

Then the 'tentacles'.. same story.. makes sense there would be multiple similar shapes around.
