Or rated T for Tragic. So what happens when you mix religious fanaticism + rap?

Here are some excerpts:

“Don’t propagate your hate, because I have a higher standard on who you date. I’m not here to rally against that which the government legislates, I simply don’t support a mind that is reprobate. Homosexuality is not innate. It is not a genetic trait. It cannot replicate the love between a man and a woman which God did indeed create.”

"Homosexuality can only imitate. It will always be a counterfeit, a fake,"

"Every person has the power to regulate the choices that they make," "It's always a choice with whom you fornicate."

So what will it be? Your mate, or your fate?"

This is the description of the video.

Equality or Freedom?
Jesus didn't come to make our lives fair, but to set us free.
To become born again and have our mind renewed through Christ is true Freedom through Righteousness; not Equality through fairness. Love is not a right; it is a God-given privilege bought at an extreme price -- death on a cross. Jesus freely gave His life for you and me so we can have the privilege to be with Him in Heaven. God only ordains, blesses, and accounts for marriage as being a covenant between a husband and wife. Society, however, will always find cheap imitations of the real thing, promote it, then sell it. Realize this is not hate speech, I speak every word out of love.
Love is a choice.
Poem by Apologetics, music by J. Rodriguez, produced by P. Bates

(I meant to write this on the chit-chat forum, Mods please help!)

Those are actually some pretty good lyrics, reminiscent of Lauren Hill.

I personally do not discriminate against homosexuals, and interact with them a lot...Having said that, it is my personal belief that homosexuality is destructive, by means of going against the laws of nature.

Nature is the only clear, divine plan we can refer to, and we should uphold those laws of creation.

But heyho, each to their own.

well she has the right to not like homosexuality and to sing about it... just like others sing about hoes, cars and bling.

Yep, everyone has a choice to make a fool out themselves and their religion in a very public way.

Gee Mr. Moderator, aren't you supposed to contribute to the thread?

No 1-Liners: Please do not create minimal "me too," "I agree," or similar very-short replies. (Adding "second line" to short comments doesn't count.)

No Shorthand: Please do not use "txting" shorthand in your posts, this is an international site and many people may not understand your post.

Anyway I think it is a rather interesting video. I wonder if she knows that HIV doesn't really technically exist anymore and scientists pretty much only now use the term AIDS... and AIDS is spread more through heterosexuals than homosexuals at this point in time.

Beyond that everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if it is rather nonsensical and illogically formed... At the very least she did show a small bit of respect trying to profess the point that she wasn't trying to choose for anyone or "discriminate". Again, I think she is wrong but out of all the religious people out there speaking against gay people, she was not among the harshest of advocates against homosexuality...

Curious... When they pull statistics about HIV and Aids they only reference gay men ... Straight black women seem to be the highest risk group nowadays ... Lesbian sex (gay sex) is the least likely to pass anything ... So I guess we should all be lesbians - it's the safest -health wise

You can say many things about her opinion, but it's certainly NOT an illogical one.

She is objectively thinking beyond carnal pleasures, and contemplating LOGICALLY that homosexual acts detract from reproduction and natural social order.

If homosexuality is against nature then why is it part of it? It's not destructive at all, there are way more straight people than gay people in the world, so I don't see how it affects anything.

Hilarious you should mention the word sheep and indoctrination. If you express it in an bigoted, hypocritical and counteractive way. Sure, a real fool.

Another reason those statistics are misleading is that the Gay Community are far more likely to get tested, than other groups.

Safe sex is actually a huge part of the gay community.

What is there to say that it isn't natural social order? Who are you to even be able to just define something like that anyway? Homosexuality has been around for ages, and I have a hard time believing that it was just "invented" Look back at any date in nearly any society before the US and you should find extensive proof of not only homosexuality but bisexuality as well. Sure some civilizations didn't tolerate it, others did.

Sure homosexuality but not be a biological trait and may have developed (naturally) through social order, but christians obviously don't believe in much of what biology has to say anyway, or science for that matter, otherwise they wouldn't think the earth is 10,000 years old or that there is no such thing as evolution...

yea... hilarious. Listen, people have the right to their own opinion. Theres nothing hypocritical and "counteractive" - she just doesnt agree with homosexuality - why is it so hard for people to let other people have their opinion.

Why do we all have to be part of the same gray, uninteresting, uninspired, uniform mass that seem to come out of the same assembly line? Stop calling names to whoever has a different opinion and dont force stuff down people's throats, specially when they dont want the koolaid you're selling.

The funniest thing about tolerance is that often tolerant people are intolerant towards intolerance. Try to think of yourself as "superior" and show those intolerants what really mean to be tolerant, being tolerant towards their intolerance.

And yes...
sheep.

A pretty and intelligent young woman.
It's a pity we don't hear a single original thought from her though, and she's just parroting what anti-gay preachers and authors have been spreading since the 1980s.

It's not convincing hearing about lifelong monogamous heterosexual marriage from such a young person.
It's no different to the mostly failed practices of religions making people sign billion year contracts, virginity pledges, marrying girls to older men or promising lifelong celibacy at twenty.

It would be more convincing if they got a lady who's at least in her seventies and actually had an exclusively monogamous life to rap about how fantastic that was.
She just repeats religious ideas without the weight of personal experience.
That eerily reminds one of 1970s cult material where unquestioning young people rattled off similar sermons by their leaders, and then it was considered mind-control.

Trying to mix scientific debates about HIV/AIDS with religious beliefs about invisible deities is never convincing.

Perhaps one day she'll be less extreme, and she could do a wonderful HIV/AIDS prevention clip for everybody, especially considering the epidemic infection rates amongst African Americans, other minorities and heterosexual epidemics in southern Africa.
I'm sure she must "love" them too, and not just homosexuals.

I'm not sure what her ultimate point is.
Gays should not "imitate" the ideal of heterosexual monogamy?
Gays should turn or burn and marry a woman?
That sounds like a recipe for the down-low.

She's rapping to the choir, but I'm sure that will give her some kudos in her religious group, although the New Testament does say women shouldn't teach and should be in silence (1 Timothy 2:11-15).
