On a related note, have you seen the RIDICULOUS pictures of chem trails just hovering over the oceans of the world. Areas where there are no commercial routes? The notion of the chems being formed over land and following the jet stream out to sea isn't a viable theory as contrails don't exist long enough to make the 8 hour journey.

Misinformation campaign? I'm not misinforming anyone. I have my reservations about gov't activities hidden behind the word, "science". There's more questions to this topic than there are answers. That's what the real problem is.

FYI, i'm a regular fellow, not a gov't employee, who saw all the BS 12 years ago. I've been coming to ATS alot longer than some of you veterans. I'm not new to this place. i've been around for about 6-8 years, maybe longer, can't remember. Posters on ATS are the reason why i decided to go down that rabbit hole and wake up. There's nothing i haven't seen and nothing i haven't heard or researched. I'll be honest and say this...some of you old schoolers, that have been around for a while, i've seen get away with T&C violations and never get their quotes blocked, nor do they get reprimanded. Just makes you wonder, WHY? I'm SURE i'll get banned again, FOR NO REASON! Some of the staff here have a problem with "newcomers" making the veterans look FOOLISH.

What was flying at these altitudes in 1919? We are still talking about jet level flight and by looking at the available options for flight from that time it would seem pilots would have a hard time keeping worm and breathing.

They were early fighter aircraft operating at 20,000 feet or a little above by the end of the war, and yes, the pilots did have a hard time breathing and did suffer from cold.

However experimetnal oxygen equipment was being used - eg in the fokker D-VII - this aircraft had a service ceilingof 6000m - about 19,600 feet - but note that this is not the maximum height it can go - it is the height at which, under specified conditions, teh rate of climb is only 100 feet per minute - so it could actually go higher - especially on a cold day when the air is denser and so providing more lift for the wings and power for the engines.

the Spad 13 had a service ceiling of 6600m - almost 22000 feet, hte Albatross D-V, SE-5a and Sopwith Snipe all had service ceilings of 18-19,000 feet, the Fokker Triplane (Dr-1) got to 20,000 feet, and Snoopy's Sopwith Camel could get to 21,000 feet.

these altitudes are a little on the low side compared to the normal altitude of contrails today - but that altitude makes contrails unusual, not impossible, and the small number recorded is a reflection of this.

While it would be very cold at 26,000 there is no reason to think that the aircraft wouldn't have had some provision for heating and warm clothing would certainly have been in order. Supplemental oxygen was available at the time. For reference, in 1862 a ballooning record was set at 39,000 feet.

In 1916 an aircraft altitude record was set at 26,083 feet in an French bomber. In 1920 a new record was set at 33,113 feet in an American plane.

There is ice and small amounts of combustion products in contrails. Since what people seem to be calling "chemtrails" appear to be nothing other than contrails I have no reason to believe they are any different. Did you know my neighbor's cat is a robot? Prove it isn't.

And you cannot provide any evidence (much less proof) that indicates that "chemtrails" are anything but clouds.

That article is incorrect and misleading.

The group which Gates helps fund does not lobby for large-scale geoengineering SRM.

50 years ago it wasn't known that global warming was occurring. 50 Years ago there weren't really any studies regarding SRM but there were studies of contrails.

Yes, SRM studies (in the US at least, no idea what China might be messing around with but I don't think they're sending all those planes over the US) are being conducted only with computer models. Oh, some lab work as well to help refine the models.

Sir, you yap about him not being able to provide proof that there is nothing in the trails ... but you cant prove that there is. So where does that leave us at this moment, other than a he said/she said back and forth? The chemtrail believers are the ones making the claims that these persistent trails are in fact "chemtrails" rather than contrails. With that claim, they need to provide EVIDENCE of it. It gets said time and time again, and its getting said here again - the burden of proof is on the accuser.

This has nothing to do with spraying for mosquitoes, this has nothing to do with the low-level drops that happened in the 1950s, this has nothing to do with cloud seeding ... this is about the claims that those lingering trails coming from high-altitude planes are more than just contrails.

I've participated in MANY debates with you. Do i need to get links to back up what i'm saying? Do you remember this thread: Is HAARP feeding SANDY?
