Privileged is when you have had the luxury of never having to develop empathy. It's glaringly obvious when someone makes a statement with no perspective behind it. When someone is confident in their one sided painfully shallow approach to something, and are not afraid to let others know of their ignorance on a public forum, they are stupid, because they have proved it.

A good example would be you commenting on the issue of light skin/dark skin in the black community. You need to try to understand the different layers making up a complex issue, rather than repeating something you heard about or heard someone else say before. I will not attempt to explain to you the significance and lasting impact that the splitting up of families and raping of wives, mothers, daughters and sisters has. A resentment grew in some cases where the light skinned children of slave master rape were treated humanely and thus felt as if they were better than the lowly negro. These resentments have never been completely put to rest because of the subtle perpetuating of the american standard of beauty, among other things. There are many reasons to this and you should sit back and reflect before you question my understanding.

you should reflect that it is not as convoluted as you like to make it- basically you like to excuse bullying and prejudice on behalf of blacks but not whites- often the issue is just bigotry and stupidity- some blacks don't like light skinned whites for nothing more than pure racial hatred. I know this to be a fact and have black friends who agree, so spare me your racist allocation of whites automatically bad when it comes to mixed race and dishing out the historical excuses for black abuse

what have I "passed over"- I simply corrected your incorrect assertion that white British had increased- this isn't the case

White people could emigrate to Australia in 2001 as well- if more are leaving now, this fits in with New Labour's agenda to change the face of Britain

The origins and present day motivations of white/black racism and light skinned/dark skinned are entirely different. Of course it is not the same thing. Think about it for a while before you start babbling. You have the ability to conceive of this thought, and admit this, yes? That's why I said it's a complex, multi-layered issue. I have not made any blanket statements over the white race.

If you were following the arguments being made and not just cherry picking things out of their rightful context, then you would have realized I used the exact sentiments and argument the poster JustaWhiteMom used for their justification of preserving white blood to prove my point; my argument was not merely "whites just being nasty whites". Go back and study the previous three pages before you attempt to hop on something and start setting people straight. If you can't go back three pages in time, no one can expect you to go back 100 or 200 years.

I'm glad somebody else noticed this as well. I feel the exact way you do and was also wondering why the mods allow off topic garbage to completely fill these threads. I don't have to wonder too long though. The mods either think that keeping racial insensitivity and racially fueled ignorance at bay is less important than keeping bigfoot space ship threads from mentioning pot, or they can't help but share in the sentiments these people keep dribbling.
