Another thing about guns is that you can at least find out who was the shooter... at least most of the times... If I went and build an arrow then killed someone with it how would it be traced back to me.. Silent and stealthy.
If you had a choice on how you were killed would you prefer stabbed and bleed to death or quick and painless shot to the head

Me personally I would rather take a bullet to the head but even then it wont always kill you.
one of my friends tried to commit suicide once, he put a gun to his temple pulled the trigger and he survived. somehow the bullet traveled between the skin in the skull on his forehead and came out the other side.

Not sure how I feel on this.....would not prefer either to be honest. Whether shot or stabbed or bludgeoned, if it is in a vital area odds are you will die (most times pretty quickly) and if not odds are you won't.

I'd prefer the quickest method, and most painless, so shot with something that would obliterate my head or a nice quick beheading if that was an option. If just a choice between bullet to the brain stem or a self inflicted lobotomy I would choose the bullet.

I loaded 25 rounds of 5.56mm +P ammunition into a HI CAPACITY MAGAZINE, charged a round into the chamber and set it on the front porch with the SAFETY OFF (maybe that was the problem). I elevated the rifle by resting it across the arms of a chair so it could see all of the children at play. If anything was going to happen, now was the time.

I don't think pointing a loaded gun at children whether or not it's in your hands and the safety is off is the greatest idea. And posting about it online is probably a worse idea.

I'm very pro 2nd-amendment and a gunowner myself but that's kind of foolish and I wouldn't be surprised if some liberal on this site will try to turn you in.

Funny ..Funny..Funny. Some people just refuse to see the humor.

What is even funnier is the people trying to dissect humor ..while being perfectly serious(unless the joke is on me and they are also being humorous).

Good work OP.

Semi Automatic rifles aren't Machine guns . That police force and government militias are the Government you need protection from . Home Land Security has proliferated your local police . AR 15s and AKs are semi auto . The powers that be don't give a rats XXX about how many citizens get killed . They want to use these shootings to take away your ability to resist CHANGE . That Change that Obama was talking about was to Global Government and Socialism/ Communism and Agenda 21 . When America the last resistance is disarmed the heavy hand of the NWO will fall on us all . You better hope we can hold out . Agenda 21 takes away your private property rights and your right to live where you want .

I think the bigger the gun the safer...

handguns .22 to 380 about 9000

handguns 45 to 560 extremely few

Shotgun 800

Rifle about 400

ARs about 50

Full autos 0?

Since a person's hands kill about 2000 I think we need to fix that problem first....

Great Op Seabag!

Some people apparently don't understand satire, I'm especially surprised at the number of those from the UK that don't understand satire, that is the country that produced Monte Python, right?

Here's the thing you anti-gun types don't get. Owning a gun doesn't make you violent. I've never shot anybody (not even in the military) I've also never wanted to shoot anybody.

The fact of the matter is, the police don't always get there in time, not every house has a panic room. You can call the police, in fact, I would recommend it. However, you still have to wait for them to arrive. There are some neighborhoods in certain cities that the police won't even go to. What if you are unfortunate enough to live there? What if you live several miles from the closest police station?

The fact is, guns exist, and they will never (at least in our lifetimes) not exist. Once something has been learned, it can't be unlearned.

When I was a child, my house had several guns in it. I've been shooting since I was 6. Learned to shoot on the same Savage .22 single-shot rifle that my two older brothers did. The other kids I grew up with were pretty much raised the same way. I only know of two people who were ever shot, one in a tragic hunting accident, the other while attempting suicide. If we're so violent and guns are so dangerous, shouldn't we all have been shooting and killing each other?

So, I've known 2 people who've been shot. Want to know how many people I've known who died in auto accidents? Here's a hint, it's more than those who've been shot, by a pretty wide margin.

You know that hammers kill more people than that type of gun does, so what should be do if he had a hammer pointed in the direction of kids?

fair enough but still some anti-gun liberal is going to mistake the satire and try to get this guy in trouble.

So you left a bunch of loaded guns out in the open where anyone could have picked one up and shot you in the face and because that didn’t happen it proves that guns don’t kill people.....

That was just dangerous it was never going to prove anything, Guns kill people but so do people, it is the person that pulls the trigger but its the gun that pushes that bullet out and into some unfortunate fellows face.

The whole “guns don’t kill people, people kill people” is just a gimmick it has no value as a legitimate argument.

I am no gun grabber by any means but dude, seriously, what you done today was just stupid and was never going to prove anything.

Way late here but I just wanted to add that this whole "experiment" was horribly irresponsible. Leaving loaded guns laying around and as the OP said "pointing at people" while children ran around is the epitome of foolishness.

I really hope this was all hyperbole to make an un-needed point. Glad no one was hurt.

Overall a great thread, and I have the dubious honor of hitting the
100th flag. Although like Heff I must voice my concern over hot
weapons out there prone to an outside influence... you get our
point. For what it's worth and by themselves though, the point is
made for sure and 99.73% of me agrees with you!
Besides-- much grislier a prospect for me anyway would be trying
to sneak in to steal a drumsticken: and everything between a frog
sticker and Mako's family katana comes flyin' in. No thanks, bud!

Good point

Does the POTUS feel absolutely safe wherever he goes? Is he happy to leave his windows and doors open at night?

Is he surrounded by people with guns?

Why does the British Prime Minister surround himself with guns if the population there is almost completely disarmed??

One word "terrorism". You used to be able to walk down Downing Street and stand opposite number 10 but sadly the world has changed.

You know whats pathetic. About 2 weeks ago, I was listening to talk radio (Philips file) and someone called in, saying he did this exact same thing.."I took all my guns and ammo, put it on my porch, didn't kill anyone).

What this then tells me is that this isn't some guy being clever..this is corporate propaganda bullsnip put out and directed to be fed to the peons...no creativity, same story across the nation.

I am on the fence about the whole gun debate, but I am very much not on the fence about corporate tools littering up public discussions with strawmen -curseword- arguments.

I am certain I will hear more and more of peoples lovely storys about how they put their guns on the porch and it killed nobody until the corporations direct a new strawman argument.

how sad. I know its super uber popular..but if ATS had a bit of integrity, it would remove chain letter crap like this from their server.

While I'm conflicted on the gun issue and think it needs to be discussed, I find your work on this thread to be brilliant. I'm surprised the NRA hasn't picked you up for their marketing department.

Everyone who has any value in their gun rights, and real freedom should join the NRA. It's not about marketing, it's about very important individual rights being stripped away..... Or NOT!
