Everything is out there.

Everything you can't even start to imagine is out there.

But you have to give it a little time as this Universe we live in is still baby. The Bang has just occurred.

Midicon, you are right there is nothing to fear but your fears.

Thank you...although may I say...pedantically.

There is no fearing fear in a world of no fear.

I am maybe boring, but, there is one interesting fact:

All cosmic bodies passing by the Earth (asteroids, comets, metheors), they all have their origin inside of The Solar System. Nothing out of our Solar system is comming here.
That means, we, people, Mankind, we must take a total control over The Solar System, first. Because of our security down to The Earth... Noone can be sure where it would fall, that's why...

We need a control upon the La Grangian Points, everywhere inside Solar System. That is a lot of jobs for Centuries... and forever
That will allow us to commercialy exploit ores and minerals from other cosmic bodies inside our Solar System. Resources on The Earth are limited, that is we all know.

Next, we need controlled nuclear fusion because we need more and more energy. Experiments should be moved farer from the surface of The Earth, to prevent some unwanted explosions, and similar. Best in orbyt, or, much better, on some of other cosmic bodies.
That is very close future, just don't stop!

But how deep does that rabbit hole go

I'll bet it leads to an exit very near to the point of entry. Then, from there one would see the "next" rabbit hole, hidden from one standing at the first rabbit hole.
