Perhaps, perhaps not, but you must concede that it would indeed be a rather large coincidence if it were to happen..

I don't believe in any prophecy mumbo jumbo and frankly I could not care less about the church or it's elected leader, it's just quite an amusing fit into a prophecy that may or may not be real..

List of Popes and relevance to Prophecy

Please check out Pope 169, 170 etc etc and tell me where the prophecy states that the popes chosen name has any relevance to it?

The comparison of each pope to the prophecy has been from such spurious things as having a Goose on a coat of arms to their family name being similar to what the prophecy may have meant.

you were looking for a candidate named PETER.

i was merely pointing out the pope must change his name.

therefore there is no point looking for someone named peter. any person may choose the name Peter when elected.
