Did you know that human beings actually KILL other animals to EAT them ? Don't you find that disgusting ? They even have built factories to INDUSTRIALISE the process of killing the other sentient animals and chop them in small portions that they pack in plastic. WOW. At first I didn't want to believe it but I have seen the proofs. It's 100% true. They eat dead corpses of animals that are made of exactly the same stuff as them, and almost every human being find that this is totally normal. They even encourage their own LITTLE CHILDREN to eat dead corpses of other sentient beings, imagine that... I mean, what do they have in mind ?? Can't they just think for one second ? I am truly out of words..

Guess what, animals eat other animals.

That's what always makes me laugh about vegetarians, you behave like humans are the only living thing in existence that eats other living things.

I've always wanted to hunt, simply because of this.

Most people have no idea that meat actually COMES FROM animals.

No one sees where the meat comes from. If you ask a kid where meat comes from, they'll tell you it comes from the store. We all have the mentality that meat is some processed junk food that's manufactured in the slums of a factory somewhere, like Ramen noodles or Pringles.

I've always wanted to kill, gut, skin, and cook an animal myself to see if I truly accept that I'm eating a dead creature. I think it's wrong of me to eat meat when I, like zillions of others, have no mental connection between the meat, and the animal from where it came.

Last night we had steak.

Big, thick cut, juicy steaks that I grilled outside on my grill.

We also had salad to go with it.

There was left over salad.

There was NO left over steak.

While eating those steaks, our fellow predators (because that is what we humans are), the cats and dogs, were licking there mouths in hopes of us (the TOP predator) sharing our meat.

The squirrels in the trees, the hamster in the cage had no idea what was going on.....just like the plant eating fish in the fish tank.

Their brains are a LOT smaller do to the lack of protein, where as even our dogs can be taught tricks and commands due to much higher brain functions.

The same higher level brain functions that we humans achieved due to eating meat with all it's proteins to make our brains grow.

In other words: your vegetarian rear end is able to make this thread on this forum, over the internet, using a electronic media device that consumes electricity that we've harnessed, and in a complex language........all because your ancestors started eating meat at some point.

Now if you don't mind, I need to go eat some ground up pig and chicken guts (a hot dog) for lunch.

Yum!

Unfortunately until we make a transition from these physical bodies, most people will crave and need meats, so with that being said....

......I'll take mine sliced 2 inches thick, seasoned and medium-rare, and cooked on the BBQ

There was a study awhile back done by scientists excuse me for not knowing all the facts but basically they put their sciency tools into the dirt next to two heads of lettuce then ripped one out of the ground and listened to the other lettuce scream while it's sister lettuce was murdered. True story i'll try to find the article and post it.

Bottom line is: everything lives, from pigs, to lettuce, to fruits. The best thing you can do is be thankful to whatever you are eating be it a steak, or a salad it still had to give up it's life. Thank it for your sustenance eat it well enjoy your life and dont let their death be in vein.

Plants are living things too. So what are you going to eat? Air?

Can't eat air unless you can feed off the microbes. Don't let the microbes suffer.

Such a stupid thread.

The bible says that those who don't eat meat must show respect for those who do and otherwise.. But you don't need a bible to figure out to respect eachothers choices.

What I do find weird about the openingpost is that they don't cook the meat.

They're called Canine teeth and they're designed to bite, tear and devour meat.

Rabbits are meat...just saying.

Ahh... I see how ya are there Mr. S. Well..... I'll have you know this is my rather poorly trained cousin. He's slow too!

Not every Rabbit is quite as friendly as he is.

@ mardukiscoming

Touche'... You got me there. We can live on veggies. I'd note something in my personal experience though, the true 100% veggie eaters I've known always look a little ill. Like a person who just hasn't got enough sun or something. Nothing profound but enough to notice. Odd about that.

If you want to eat, and therefore live, without the guilt of killing other life, you would have to eat ...seeds... without killing the plants.

Ah, but if you're eating seeds you're committing plant abortions which would also have to be bad, no?

Hot wings!!!

We've all gotta die. And if an animal is gonna die, why waste the meat?

Especially since it contains a lot of the nutrients we need, and it's delicious...

I always find these discussions interesting.

-If we all stopped eating meat how long before pig, cow, chicken became extinct? Not long i would wager, we wouldn't keep them around. Is that a better outcome? There are few things more natural than extinction in the end.

-If people argue that we are entitled to eat lower animals because we can, would they agree that more advanced aliens would be morally entitled to use/abuse us on the same basis, that they can? To plead otherwise would seem desperately hypocritical.

Coming from a land that is currently having a "hog problem", let me assuage your fears that pigs would become extinct once removed from our menu. Quite the opposite. If we didn't eat them, we would just dispose of carcasses that destroyed vegetable crops and property.

I would bet the same would be said for the other animals. They were here before us. We just figured out how to live more closely with them so we would have energy storage.

Some of us have even retained the full connection to our food and see the value in killing and processing what we eat ourselves! I'll entertain your argument against the industrialization of meat processing to a degree (though for entirely different reasons than you are suggesting) because I personally believe if you can't stomach the process involved in killing, cleaning, and butchering your dinner animal, then meat is probably not for you. Personally, I try to avoid purchasing meat as much as possible. I much prefer the caribou, moose, and salmon in my freezer and in my jars. Much healthier and far less toxins than the feedlot cattle, penned chickens, and medicated hogs you buy in the grocery store. That said, I wish the world had more vegetarians in it. Less rats, more cheese.
