Why do smart people, act so stupid?

I swear, they can't do a simple easy task. Like putting things in an orderly fashion, and it's like you got explain yourself 20,000 times. So, annoying.

Take the first one, then put the second one one behind it, the third one goes behind the second one, but the fourth one manages to find it's way in-between.

Or,

Simple task of making flashcards. How hard is that? Easy and simple you would think.

The word goes on the front - definition on the back.

Nope, can't do that.

Because OF looks like AF. Well than read the sentence and you can figure out what the word is.

I swear, I'm not going to get anything done today.

So, overwhelmed that sleep will not be in my nature for the whole week.

So smart they can talk their way out things but so dumb when asked to do something.

UGH, the torture is killing me.

I'm so tired. Just wish I could get a little help.

Bah.

why do stupid people act so smart

Light travels faster than sound that is why people often appear bright until you hear them speak, or as in your case follow simple instructions.

Doing mundane tasks, such as placing things in order, are not challenging to intelligent people. If an intelligent person is not mentally stimulated and challenged, they tend to become disinterested in the task at hand; and some will go so far as to do the task incorrectly on purpose in hopes of being removed from the mundane task.

Let the stupid people place things in order, it can be challenging to them; yet, it will feel rewarding to them when they succeed.

This is my opinion based upon observation and participation in mundane activities.

I'm fortunate enough to be "friends" with a couple of REALLY smart people. No sarcasm. They can mentally do stuff that can baffle anybody. But lazyyyy, holly frig. Heartless. Ask them to help you do something which requires a little physical strength or manual labor. They'll help you but mess up the job on purpose so you never ask them again. They play dumb really well too. Peez me off. Maybe that's what's happening to you.

The above sentence of yours is interesting to me; particularly the last half: "...but so dumb when asked to do something." I think that is part of their strategy (playing dumb) to get out of doing things they don't want to do; and making sure someone else has to do them.

This strategy I am sure you are well aware of; I am just putting my 25 cents worth in.

when my gf asks me to clean things i don't do a good job on purpose if its something that I don't like doing.. not that I don't mind or like cleaing certain things but I don't like to wash dish's.. so now she doesn't ask me because she knows I won't do a good job

I love snakes.

Here's one and I admit I do this alot. Why do smart people play stupid around stupid people who think they're always smart?

Because smartarses like me make dumbarses like them feel stupid after making an arse out of themselves.
