Maybe easier to just view it from the link instead of the page.

Probably. Rove and the Bush campaign must think Americans are stupid, while there is a sizeable number of those willing to believe anything they say, there is an equally large number of us who know just about everything they say is a lie. They're just being who they are I guess.

Thanks.

What an awesome ad!.

Obviously the photoshop part was to depict the children of America being protected by the powerful US Military...nice imagery.

Again, and EXCELLENT ad.

whatever it takes.

The whole ad looked fake to me. Bush didn't even look like he was really talking to the people they were showing. And watching him talk made me want to puke. My opinion, they overdubed bush into an event that he wasn't even at. They filmed him in private so he could do many takes and not come off as blumbering idiot like he did in the debates. This is just my opinion and don't really care what bush lovers think.

Some scuttlebutt is forming.

This is apparently the original.

I guess. But there's questions about the legality of showing military participaction as a backdrop in ads (though we know Bush is fond of using troops for backdrops everywhere else)...so anyway they photoshopped Bush out? I think.

I never can follow right winger excuses these days. But that's what I'm hearing now.

Rant, good point. That actually makes alot of sense. Even though as you can see I do not like anything about him but I can see the reasoning behind doing something like that for this ad.

If I only had photoshop I would go in and put kerry's face on there for a laugh.
But I don't, so I can't.

Just now.

Bush/Cheney spokesmen this morning DENIED any photoshopping of ad. Said it wasn't true.

Just now flip flopped and admitted it was shopped when shown original. Expressed "ignorance" of ad creator's doing.

Busted. Lied. Busted again. Apologized for ignorance.

That's team Bush in a nut shell.

Lie until caught then some other guy did it. The buck stops nowhere.

Anyone can do it! But President's shouldn't.

I can't believe the news coverage I'm seeing.
Internet activism works.

The ad sucks, suitably for the technique used to produce it.

Bush does whatever it takes? What exactly did it take from him? He did not receive any folded flags, did he?

Guys please vote him out, he's too much.

Welcome to the fruits of the Coporate Consolidation of the Mass Media. Twenty years ago a competing news source would have attacked and discredited this picture and exposed the discrepancies, today, it gets run as the real thing on every channel. Fascism. One of the first things you do in a power grab is control the media, once you control the media, the rest is cake.

Find the original photo. Where the copied soldiers are was actually where Bush was. The editor simply removed him and added in the soldiers to fill in the space.

I fail to see why this news.

Bush campaign to recut doctored ad photo

INDIANOLA, Iowa (AP) -- President Bush's campaign acknowledged Thursday that it had doctored a photograph used in a television commercial and said the ad will be re-edited and reshipped to TV stations.

The photo of Bush addressing a group of soldiers was edited to take out a podium, aides said, and a group of soldiers in the crowd was electronically copied and used to fill where the podium had been.

"There was no need to do that," said Mark McKinnon, head of Bush's advertising team who shouldered the blame. "Everyone technically works for me so I accept the responsibility."

www.cnn.com...

McKinnon said a video editor he declined to identify was told to edit the picture to focus on a young boy waving a flag.

On his own initiative, the editor removed the podium and copied the faces, McKinnon said.

"I didn't even know it was done," he said. The doctoring was first revealed on an Internet site. "There was no intention on anybody's part to try to represent anything that wasn't true," McKinnon said

see... wasn't President Bush's fault, he had nothing to do with it... move along..... go vote for Sen. Kerry or whatever it is your're going to do..

Do you think he is refering to ATS?

Regardless, just another lie. Remember they first denied doctoring.

Rant can you enlarge the guy that is in the red circle at the top, the reason I am asking is my SIL just recently got out of the army and I swear that looks like him, it would be real funny if it was. He went and saw the president speak at his base.
