HAHA! That's so shady, and when I just watched the video those duplicates stuck out like a sore thumb. If there's a couple there, there may be more... My thoughts: Maybe those are where some of the now deceased are standing. That or we have some sort of cloned super troopers... Probably not the latter though.

I dunno, RANT. I count at least 3.

In all seriousness, that's a bizarre pic, anyway. It looks like a crowd of people standing in front of a vid screen. Lots of flag waving and uniforms, but what's it supposed to *be*?

Not an ad company, the current office of the chief executive leader of our country. Not just some ad, this stuff is trying to persuade voters into thinking that Bush is a brave, patriotic leader and they're using fake pictures of fake ceremonies to convey that message.

Don't be silly.

Its a TV AD.

The ad reinforces that theme.

What the theme of lying to country? What the theme of using false evidence to get points across? This is a microcosm of this administrations entire policy...untruth.

Nice one Rant.

Being in the graphics field and creating video montages, it is common practice to manipulate imagery for the needs of the project. It's a way to create sequences without having to spend tons of money on new shoots to fit the concept. It's not a deception just a way to adjust stock footage to fit a new need without the expense of reshooting custom footage for the purpose. I don't really understand what is trying to be stated by this. What/who are they trying to deceive? Are they claiming that there were more people in this specific footage then were there? I guess If I could get to the video I'd understand the point.

Sorry guys I isolated the "army" frame and didn't see the dups. Look a little closer at the actual AD!

Exactly. But don't try reasoning w/ the rabid foaming-at-the-mouth left.

Its pointless.

See, it is deceitful in the literal sense of the word. But, you know, it's not like there have never been large groups of soldiers listening and parades, they just wanted to get the right angle or whatever. Now, if they photoshopped Kerry banging Saddam Hussein or something, then it'd be a problem

But of course, since most people take the facts to fit their mindset, what you're saying will fall on deaf ears (unless those ears are of the polar opposite Reps, in which case you could have monkey type something out. As long as the words "Bush good, Kerry Bad" appear somewhere, you'll have their undying love and support.

So, there really is that many soldiers there?

What/who are they trying to deceive?

Probably us.

Are they claiming that there were more people in this specific footage then were there?

Why else would they have done it?

Doesn't work for me. Sounds like it was pretty silly. Did they take it down from embarrassment?
