I have, and it is wrong as NASA hasn't deleted the pictures as you have been shown, but your title states they have so how does that work?

It's not a UFO, it was identified by NASA.

It's one of thousands of large chunks of space junk.

My thoughts exactly...a high altitude, orbit capable jet...probably a joint effort and financed privately, therefore, photos are a possible trade secret.

My post makes a moot point, now that I proofread, but for lack of better things to do at this time...I am going to hit "reply" anyway....

this is an alleged image of the Black Knight sattelite, supposedly imaged during STS-088 in 1987. It was apparently detected shadowing sputnik 1 and was also the suspected origin of a transmission from space in the 60's or something. There is a great deal of speculation about it but not a lot of solid information. What is solid is the pictures, which have never really been disputed as being faked or anything, and the original images were available publicly im led to believe. Very interesting story, i only first read about it here on ATS a few months ago. Probably one of the most intruiging near contact events ever recorded in my opinion

why does government and nasa do things like this.. they put up pictures of things or video and then they either delete them or are like no no that is swamp gas or something a weather balloon...

It makes sense actually, NASA has thousands of images in its databases and is constantly posting them online en masse, in many cases probably without much human oversight of the actual content. When something is discovered and starts to make news they do what little they can to censor it.

But as has been stated, the damage is done, so perhaps we are looking at some sort of black op space plane they don't want us to see?

Certainly nothing about it screams extra-terrestrial or paranormal.

I'm all for UFO evidence, but those pictures look a lot like a black grocery bag flying in the wind.

At 3:20 in the video, the image that you've posted seems to be an image manipulation job. The "item" has been flipped horizontally, there is a glow around it, as well as a lighter glow that streams downwards (in your photo). The one in the video looks to be more genuine.

It doesn't answer what it is, really. Rather though it points out that this has been circulated so many times before, that the true shape, position, and perhaps other attachments in the "craft/balloon/parachute-like item" image has been tampered with.

Remember, NASA would never be allowed to release a full, un-doctored image of a black op design. It would never receive approval unless it had been heavily doctored. The question is still, however, why were they uploaded in the first place? What is the benefit of showing these images?

I agree, it has the appearance of a gold-foil parachUte image captured from above the "light source" of the earth. these types of things unfold... given the dating of the images, I would even go So far as to offer that it may be an early radiation shield deployed for a satellite, solar energy collector, or At the most extreme, even a photon "sun-surfing" sail.

And from those images, it just looks like space trash. A thin layer blown off by some old rocket. It has no substance other than being a piece of sheet metal.

Perhaps from an early non-manned test flight rocket.
It's clearly just a sheet of some kind, and not a "space ship" or satellite. There even appears to be thin metal framework sticking out from the torn edges.

I'm happy to accept these are debris but it begs the question of WHY we are throwing dirty big bits of metal in to orbit which considering the smallest thing could have damaged the space shuttle. Yes I understand these are radar plotted but it makes no sense to deliberately obstruct space and make flights more dangerous.

Yes some of these are accidental slips of screw drivers etc (although there's no reason a fine rubber could not have been attached to the tools to save this exact issue) but Nasa are saying they DELIBERATELY put in to orbit huge bits of rubbish that COULD have been returned to the surface instead.

WHY?

Some of these objects are huge, based upon the fact they are out of focus compared to the parts of the shuttle we can see which says to me the camera is set to auto zoom so anything near like the edges of the craft would be in focus and far away stuff would be out of focus and less detailed.
